Fourth-year forward DeMarre Carroll will sign a one-year, minimum deal with Denver, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein.
Does Fantasy D-League exist?
Does anybody know if there is Fantasy Basketball for the D-League somewhere on the internet? I think it'd be pretty awesome to play, and I want to create a private league, but so far I can't find anything using Google. So I thought maybe you guys who follow the D-League might know of a good place to create a league. So, anybody want to help me out? Or does Fantasy D-League just not exist?
Season Prediction for 2011
Taking a page from what Yahoo!'s Dr. Saturday blog is doing for college football season, I'm predicting the Rams season using terms that they are using.
Mizzou basketball conference shedule announced!
And the non-con will be released as soon as they finalize the two pre-KC CBE Classic games.
It was also announced earlier that we're playing Notre Dame once we do get to Kansas CIty in the CBE Classic semifinals.

NCAA Football 12 videogame
The new NCAA Football game came out today, and from what I've been reading it sounds like it's fun. However, it also sounds like it's not much different from NCAA 11 except there's actually a coaching carousel and apparently tackling and blocking are improved. Does anybody here have the game? Is the blocking fixed so that you can actually run the ball out of shotgun? Can I actually pass the ball on play-action without being hit? And does Mizzou still play at "Ferret" Field? Basically, is it worth $60 to play or is it pretty much the same game as NCAA 11, just with improved presentation?
I need some help settling an argument.
I have little knowledge of WNBA basketball or the players. I do follow women's college basketball a little though, mainly just Mizzou and the nation during tournament time but I know the differences from men's to women's and the top players.
My friend believes that the average high school varsity boys team could beat a WNBA team. He claims that the boys team is much more athletic than the women's team, and that athleticism is enough to counter the pure basketball skill of the women. I say if he runs a man-to-man defense a motion offense could still get good looks at the basket. If he runs zone I believe that helps even more because athleticism is not needed to score against a 2-3 zone, just smart passes. And the women would easily shoot out of the zone.
Defensively I think a 2-3 zone would give the women the best chance to win, because then the boys can't just use their athleticism to get to the basket, they'll need real basketball skill.
Please everybody vote for Chelsea Thomas
It's a close race for the US Sports Academy Women's Athlete of the Month. Please vote so she can win.
TV and times for 3 more football games
Miami (OH) will be on FSN at 11 AM, @Oklahoma is relegated to FX at 7 PM, and the game against Kansas is an early 11 AM start on FSN again.
[Bumped to Front Page. No idea how FX got OU-MU. Must be a loaded weekend. BETTER be a loaded weekend.]
So much for Quantel Denson...
I'm gonna guess that he won't be playing for Mizzou any time soon.
Chelsea Thomas Finalist for Player of the Year
She's one of the 3 finalists for National Player of the Year, hopefully she brings it home.
Lunardi's New Bracketology
Mizzou goes from next 4 out all the way to a 7-seed, which makes a lot of sense because we've improved next year's team so much since the first bracketology. I get the feeling that Lunardi is playing darts when he determines the field this early.
Not so fast, my friends.
Gus Johnson might not be gone after all. He has an offer from Fox for NFL and Pac-12 football games, and CBS will have a week to match when CBS is presented with the offer.
MLaw coming back to Mizzou basketball.
Matt Lawrence will be a graduate manager for Haith, and we hired a director of basketball operations.

The first season ticket commercial for Mizzou Football 2011. Very well-done if you ask me.
Lunardi's Early 2012 Bracketology
Illinois got an 11, Arkansas a 10, but Mizzou somehow wasn't even in the first 4 out (only prestigious teams such as SLU and Detroit get that honor). Not that it really matters.
DeMarre Carroll quietly traded to the Rockets
Apparently (as you can see in the "news and notes") he was part of the Thabeet-Batier trade between Houston and Memphis. I hope he can get some playing time there, it'd be nice to see him put together a long NBA career. Unfortunately, word on the Rockets SBnation site is that he'll never see the court.
2011 WR Situation
For as poorly as Rams receivers played in Seattle, the group as a whole looks really good heading into next year. I don't think we really need to draft anybody in April. Although I really like Mardy Gilyard and Laurent Robinson and think they are good people who deserve a shot at the NFL, they are probably gone next year. Gilyard failed to show any of the explosiveness that he had in college, and Robinson has consistently dropped balls and failed to get any separation in man coverage. That leaves us with Donnie Avery, Danario Alexander, Danny Amendola, and Brandon Gibson. Also, I would expect Devaney to resign Mark Clayton.
I would assume that everybody here on this website agrees that Avery, Clayton, and Amendola all have proven they can be good players in the NFL. They get free passes to the next season.
I also assume that we all think Robinson and Gilyard deserve to go.
The only other instance of a Tiger team starting 7-0 was back in 1899, but game number eight saw MU shutout by Drake, 11-0 (telegraph machines were undoubtedly aflutter calling for the firing of MU’s offensive coordinator after that one).

New PA announcer
The Rams announced who would take over for Randy Wright this morning (who left both Mizzou and the Rams for a job at Florida).
Big 10 speeding up the process of expansion.
No exact timetable given, but the Big Ten definitely isn't going to wait months after MU and NU's ultimatum to make their move.
The Rams intro video from 2009 played at the Ed. Turns out the Rams are incredibly terrible at using Youtube (it's sole tag is "Stlouisramsopen"), but it's hidden in there.
