WSU Grad Cho Named Blazers GM
Rich Cho, Class of '89, was named General Manager of the Portland Trailblazers today. It's always good to see WSU grads making it big in pro sports. Also, it is interesting that he was an engineering major.

I'll give it a shot...
Possible transfer to WSU
We talk a lot about who is transferring from WSU, but what about those possible transfers in? I hate to speculate too much, but Mike Moser from UCLA sounds as if he may want to head to Pullman:
"Broadous [Moser's high school coach] said he believes Washington and Washington State are high on Moser's wish list, and Moser would probably prefer to play at another Pac-10 school."
Thoughts?
MOOS IS IN!
Cougfan is reporting Moos will take the AD job!
Floyd releases statement; Moos to campus Wednesday
EDIT NUSS: Bumped for relevance. Enjoy.
I received an email today from President Floyd's office. Mostly the same statement we've seen so far (Cougar Athletics will keep moving forward, Anne McCoy will be interim AD). However, it ended with this:
In recent days I have received a number of messages from Cougar supporters indicating an interest in Bill Moos as a candidate for the athletic director position. In light of that sentiment, I have invited him to visit the Pullman campus on Wednesday, February 17. Bill is well known within the Cougar family and in athletic circles across the country. He will meet with the senior leadership of the athletic department Wednesday morning. He will then hold a series of meetings with coaches and athletic staff throughout the day and take part in a public forum with members of the university community from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room T101 of the Food Sciences and Human Nutrition Building on the Pullman campus.
I believe it is important to bring Bill to campus to allow him to meet with members of the campus community to determine the mutual level of interest going forward.
I think that shows how interested Floyd is in getting Moos, and that WSU really wants him to be the next AD. Hopefully Moos returns that sentiment.

Updated KenPom Stats!
Ken Pomeroy posted player stats, as well as game probabilities. He has us 5th in the Pac at 8-10 (18-12 overall), and also interesting to see we are ranked 333 in experience (.94 years!)

Some writers at the Evergreen stink
This story is painful to read. I know this guy is just a college student, but why would you bash on the stadium remodel for no good reason when you don't even know the facts?
Probably the same guy that said Oklahoma State was our best ticket-selling game this year

WSU Rap Songs - What's You're Favorite?
Since we're only 1 day away from Cougar football, I thought this might be a good time to take a look back at all the rap songs about WSU and Pullman.
Edrid - Go Cougs - I'm sure most people have heard this one. A classic, but starting to show its age ("Here comes the one and only Bill Doba"). By far the most popular of these three songs
|
Edrid - Crimson Gray Thang - Edrid's newest song that came out right before last season. It is more up to date, and may have the best line out of any song ("One home Seattle game a year is all we get, still we win more there than the team that plays 6")
|
Tyrant - We Ain't Hurtin Nobody (The Pullman Song) - Can't help but hum this when you're "crusin' down Stadium Way", not really related to Cougar football, but nonetheless a theme song for Pullman.

Ed Murray is Officially A D-Bag
Really? It's one thing if alumni get excited over a rival school trying to build the most expensive stadium in college football, but to cut off funding for all the other AD's in the state? Good move, Mr. Ed. Good thing your senate district consists of only UW.
Cougs in Final 4!
The WSU Women's Rugby team has reached the Final 4 for Division II! They may be a sport club team, but it is impressive nonetheless, as they continue their perfect season.
The team played last week in Florida, soundly defeating LaSalle and East Carolina. Next up is Shippensburg in Palo Alto. Here is a link to the bracket
The team is in need of donations in order to afford the opportunity to travel. Click here to learn how to donate the team on their quest to bring home a national championship to Pullman! Go Cougs!
