Phin fan since 1983. Grew up in South Florida but went to college in New York where I currently reside with my wife and kids. I am a doctoral student in religion. I love chicken wings. I am into Yoga and hope to meet Ricky Williams one day because of it.

Hello Niners Nation! I love San Francisco and would move there in a heartbeat if I could get a job! I know many of you don't live there, but still. I grew up hating you guys. Hating you for one...

Coaches defend keeping Wake and Odrick on the sidelines

Interesting argument about the runs mostly going up the middle anyway... I am just speculating, but, perhaps sitting Randall and playing Miller, who I don't think got a single snap was the problem?

Interesting read about Odrick being used in multiple ways

Could explain why he hasn't been as good as some of us were hoping.

Brandon Marshall says some NFL players use Viagra as a PED

I don't normally link to PFT, but the comments are really funny. My favorities: "Tom Waddle: "If the game lasts more than 4 hours, contact your doctor"" "I think it would be pretty easy to spot which players are using this product while they’re on the field."

Hello Colts fans! I am sure I am not the first one to point out that, this time of season last year, two teams had 0-7 records: The Colts and the Dolphins. Both of our teams are now at 4-3,...

Strangely enough... it felt like a home game at the Jets

I hesitated in writing this, not only because there are tropical storm winds outside my apartment, but because I am waiting for the best game day post to come from OFF4L (Les Brown would say, "as...

One and a half plays: The silver lining in the Lane fumble

Normally, especially after a win, it is "Strange" to write about a bad play. There are choices for some really good plays to focus on that would better fit the mood around these parts....

A few interesting team statistics that I havent seen too many people talking about: 1) The Dolphins are allowing... ...the 10th most QB hits in the NFL. For all this talk about improved OL play, that's still a concern. 2) The Dolphins are 12th in the NFL in converting 3rd downs (41%). That's good but suggests there's room for improvement. 3) On the flip side, the Dolphins are an ELITE 3rd down defense - holding opponents to just a 26% success rate on 3rd down. That's #2 in the NFL and just percentage points below the Texans for #1. 4) All this talk of the Dolphins new up-tempo offense does show in the stats. The Dolphins have run 348 plays from scrimmage - the 4th most in the NFL despite being just 12th in time of possession.

Per Matty I Sulia Post I think he picked out some reallly interesting stats. 1) I really liked Tannehill in this game (as did Sherman), and think it was his best. I also think, imho, that he masked some of the OLs shortcomings. 2) Better stat than I would have expected 3) Our D really has been solid. I am worried though that Coyle had us well prepped for Cincy and am worried about our DBs and TE coverage. Props to Nolan Carrol and Jimmy Wilson, but I want to see it in a few more games. 4) I wonder who the other three teams are...

I thought this was a funny line from Philbin's presser today. He reminded me of Larry David (for some odd reason) even before I heard about the George Costanza connection. Coach has a sense of humor. for the record, he didn't end it there. He continued to say, "He’s made a nice contribution, and it’s good to see. It’s nice to see those guys be on the same page so to speak in such a short practice time.”"
