TRAINING CAMP DAY 1 AND TWO PHOTOS
Day one and two of training cam was great, with day 1 being ridiculous with a crowd that made it look like a concert. Dolphins took the feild on day one and people cheered and clapped in there honor, but when Jason Taylor took the field it was an uproar with the entire crowd screaming JT in unison. After that he could not help but smile while running to were he needed to be, but he did not get far until the offensive line started clappin and cheering busting his chops all of them in unison as well. Day 2 was the best day for me, I had vip and they took us on a tour of the facilty. They also took us into the bubble were the dolphins practice at it was amazing. I will be back later to report on what i saw during Training camp, who needs improvement, different points on different players, and who was on fire day one and day two. HOPE U GUYS ENJOY THE PHOTOS I WILL BE BACK.

PRIORITY

To me the main concern for the Dolphins going into Training camp should be the secondary. Stopping th run should not be a problem for us having such elite LB and DE as we have i think were doing great in that department better then we have in many years. To me our biggest issue has to be the secondary and how teams are going to attack us on that front.
With the first half of football are teams that like to spread there offense we might have a big issue when it comes to defending them. We have Atlanta, Indianapolis, San Diego, New England and New Orleans all scheduled in the first half of the season and capable of isolating with a spread pass attack, the secondary must be a priority this training camp. Our two safeties Gibril Wilson and Yeremiah Bell, they maybe tackling machines but are they really ball hawks, there able too support the run great, but we need them to stop passes from being thrown in their general area.
The cornerback position is also a concern Will Allen is great and a strong defender, i am not at all concerned with him defending that side. Now to his other side, who is going to be there Eric Green, reports on him so far have not been great getting beat to often when there playing in street clothes really. The two rookies which are monsters at CB, Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are making headlines but are they going to be ready by the time the regular season comes around. They have elite wide receivers that there going to have too cover, Randy Moss,Terrell Owens, Lee Evans, Joey Galloway(old but reliable), Wes Welker. These are guys who all have over a 1000 receiving yards with the exception of Galloway, and are very dangerous if not covered. So are main concern should be the secondary.
I am sure that are boys in the defense of line and our linebackers are going to help with pressuring the quarterback and putting him on his ass every chance they get, but most of these teams have Qb that can pick apart a defense in a split second with any chance given. I am praying that Jason Taylor has a great year, Matt Roth steps it up a notch and produces more sacks, plus he is great on the run. Also Joey Porter repeating his miraculous show last year with all those sacks. That are defensive line stays strong and healthy. I love are secondary, don't get me wrong Wilson/Bell might just be the best safety duo in the league, our two new pick draftees look like monster cb and are going to dominate the league when they get to par. Just concerning my interest and I'm wondering what everybody thinks about our secondary going into Training Camp. So what do you guys think are we good at secondary or should they be working on our secondary hard in training camp?
I will be going to training camp on sunday and monday so i will keep you guys posted on all the different things the dolphins are trying out .

Randy Starks or Phillip Merling
Lets talk positions defensive fronts to be exact. With Jason Ferguson holding up the middle, and Kendall Langford on the other side of him. So the question is Who do we start at the defensive end position, Phillip Merling or Randy Starks that is my question for u guys. If u do it by comparison Randy Starks has the better stats for the year and has allot more experience then Phillip Merling. Coming off his rookie year last year. The dolphins have high hopes for merling letting him train with the first team during OTAS, saying he looks leaner and faster off the line, but during otas you cant really tell wait until they get there pads on and then determine how a person looks or not. Merling had a good starting rookie year, Starks has always been a consistent versatile player.
If you judge them on stats from the 2008 season alone Randy Starks looks like the man who deserves the chance to be the starter. With his 29 tackles total, 3 sacks for 13 yards lost, and one interception, compared to Merlings 26 tackles total, 1 sack for four yards lost, and one interception. The one difference in there stats is that Merling did return that int. for a touchdown which was one of the most exciting plays of last years season for the dolphins. So who should be the starter of the 2009 season?
Jason Ferguson holding up the middle and Kendall Langford holding up the other end who do we start on the other side of these guys. In my opinion I say go with the experience with Randy Starks and keep the line strong. Phillip Merling backs him up and gains more experience with time. Right now is the time were we need our line to be strong with our tough schedule and I would rather have somebody there who can produce more consistently throughout the season. Phillip Merling looks like he could be a great defensive end in the near future but right now i don't think is the time for us to be taking chances, take the sure thing and run with it.
It just so happens if Jason ferguson can't hold up the middle then we can always put Starks in there and have Merling, Starks, Langford, now im sure the d-line is going to be fine and we will be able to hold up anybodies run game. I still think our defense this year might just be ranked at the top 5, were dealing with stronger teams this year and I"m sure there working out ways to stuff every teams offense strikes.
Now if Starks legal trouble goes to crap then this entire post was a waste but to kill the time and to make things interesting lets just discuss it for now. So who would u rather start Phillip Merling or Randy Stark?

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT
Just to get over all the stressful waiting of the season to start and to see how are beloved dolphins do. I'm sitting just recapping how last season was and how exciting it was to see the dolphins win there division. Thinking of my most memorable moment in the season, there are a few but one stands out most of all. I could say it was when the dolphins first decided to reveille the wildcat, but no it wasn't that. I guess my most memorable moment in a game is during the pats game were on the 20 cp10 hits Ricky in the end-zone with an amazing diving catch by him. In this particular game i had seats in the end zone so it was a beautiful site to see if there was anything else. There are other great moments that i have had, but for some reason that seems to stick out the most it always seems to bring a smile to my face whenever i see it.
SO WHATS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN A DOLPHIN GAME?

ANTHONY ARMSTRONG
-
COULD THIS BE THE YEAR THAT ANTHONY ARMSTRONG STARTS FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS.
IN ALL THE REPORTS HE SEEMS TO BEING DOING GREAT IN PRACTICE. SHOULD THEY TAKE A
CHANCE AND ACTUALLY PUT HIM ON THE FEILD AND MAYBE PROVE TO THE WORLD WHAT HE GOT.
HE IS FAST HAS GOOD HANDS AND COULD ALSO BE ANOTHER KEY SPECIAL TEAMS GUY. IN THE
AFL He was the club's second leading rusher, carrying the ball four times for 39 yards and three
touchdowns and returned seven kickoffs for 166 yards and a touchdown. He added eight tackles,
two pass breakups and a fumble recovery on defense. That's just the start of his football career in
the dallas desperados with a late start in 2007 he caught 10 catches for 126 yards in only four
games. Are the dolphins going to start him or just keep him on the practice squad as a scare tactic
for all the players to beleive he could take there spot. This kid just might be a diamond in the ruff,
im looking forward for training camp to start. my prediction he takes the number five spot on the
dolphins this year. With 1. GINN
2.BESS
3.CAM
4.TURNER
AS THE OTHER LEAD RECEIVERS. HE IS FAST, GOOD HANDS AND IT JUST TOOK HIM SOMETIME TO GET HIS MIND OUT OF ARENA FOOTBALLAND INTO NFL MENTALITY. DIAMOND IN THE RUFF

Is tony sparano losing his edge
Well concerned if Tony Sparano is losing his do what it takes attitude. These concerns come from the freedom he is
giving the team, he gave them two days of of OTA, AND THE LATE START OF TRAINING CAMP.
Compared to other teams with the exception of the colts jags, giants and seahawks , its a really late start. I think he
might just be getting a little soft, with the limelight of a great season he gave us last year. I would rather him not lose
that do what it takes attitude he has always had last year. We have alot of rookies to get up too par, alot of work on our
secondary we need figuring out, and the late start does not make much sense to me. We just might need those two to
three extra practice days to figure some of our kinks out. I dont know what do u guys think has he gone soft or hes just
being smarrt by giving them some extra family and rest time.
