Stampede Blue Happy Birthday NYKings/Open thread

Happy birthday to you!!

Happy birthday to you!!

Happy birthday dear NYKings!!

Happy birthday to you

And many more...words...till I hit 70.

Continue the healing process here as we move away from yester-yesterday and on to the draft, and beyond. (Please tell me you know that is referring to Cass)

Am I at 70 words yet? Nope only 59.

Burn something day is coming to an end so I hope you all went out and participated in this awesome (hopefully not to become a tradition) event.

"San Diego, California- A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a San Diego County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the San Diego Chargers Football Team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone ."

Stampede Blue Sunday Wishlist/Open Thread

It's getting unbearable to wait for Sunday so I decided to make a little wishlist in the form of a rant. I want Rex Ryan to be shocked. I want Mark Sanchez’s ass on the turf. I want HUGE plays and HUGER hits. I want the media to shut up. I want the Colts to play they’re hearts out. I want them to come out with a vengeance. I want them to prove over and over again that they are not soft. I want the Colts to take the Jets’s “old-school smash mouth” football and shove it back down their throats. I want them to completely and utterly obliterate them. I want them to send a message to the NFC champions. I want them to prove to everyone without a shadow of a doubt that this is where they belong and that they are here on one mission and one mission alone. I want them to bring that Lombardi Trophy home.

Add your own wishes in the comments. GO COLTS!!!! I mean GO HORSESHOES!!!!

Stampede Blue Thoughts on Colts vs Ravens

Everyone I've talked to seems to think the Ravens will beat us next week because our run defense sucks. But when you think about it, the real runners weren't so successful against us. Chris Johnson never got a touchdown in both games we played, and in one of them was held to just 34 yards. When we played Baltimore, sure it was a close game but they were held under 100 total rushing yards and didn't score a single touchdown. That says a lot about our defense. You can argue that the Patsies had a better run D and kept the Baltimore runners out of the end zone in their regular season game as well, but our defense is better in that they lock down when it matters (seven 4th quarter comebacks required defensive stances as well as brilliant offensive drives) and that's gonna be the difference next week. Plus if we should end up behind at some point we have the MVP on our side. I only wish the Jets run all over the Dolts so we can give them a beat down in the AFC championship game.
