Suns Ben

Nov 12, 2008 Nov 26, 2008 6 115

I love the Suns. Simple as that, and I truly mean it. One may say that by having a Suns shrine at home and at work, a Steve Nash/Kevin Johnson room at my house, a Suns tattoo, and the fact that my mood is generally reflective whether the Suns win or lose that I am obsessed; and I wouldn't disagree.

As early as 5 years old, I remember watching the Suns. As any Suns fan will tell you, there is just something about the Phoenix Suns that draws you in and never lets you go. Whether it's the players, management etc. - they have a hold on you. Personally, that hold has grown stronger as I've gotten older.

When I was 14, I was diagnosed with cancer (Synovial Cell Sarcoma). At that time, as one could imagine, I went through a range of emotions but one thing remained a constant in my life - my love of the Suns. Not to sound cheesy, but they did help me get through some hard times and allowed me to focus on something external.

Thus, my tie to the Suns is very personal. : )
