Quick Break down:
Prado's numbers are not better than Infante's leading off but they are better than his other numbers anywhere else. Infante's numbers, pretty much across the board, are very similar which implies that you bat him anywhere, in any situation, and he's going to hit. Jason needs players on base to get hits. He needs motivation and he gets motivation from RBI chances. He is the best hitter with runners on and even better with RISP. I think it makes sense to play players in a position where you get the best out of that player. And right now that's not happening.
Brooks Conrad... our savior?
I tried to point this out earlier in the thread but it came off as team bashing. But I think Conrad has got to be the best bench players in baseball right now. He's got his AVG up to 275 which is not exactly mind boggling but still good. But the keys seem to be his other stats. He's hit 10 RBIs from 40 ABs highest percentage on the team. And has an OPS of 941... highest on the team. Now obviously you take away his slam and they decrease a good bit, but they are still the facts right now. Brooks is really clutch and and can hit for power and if he can lower his K's... 13, we've got one hell of a bench warmer.
