When did the memo go out to MLB pitchers that they had to wear those braided necklaces? What am I missing? Is there some tradition at hand? Who started it, and when? Yes, it's a stupid question, but this fashion sort of sneaked up on me, and I'd like to know if there is any rhyme or reason behind it? I've noticed that some are leather, and others look like vinyl or something. Is that the PETA version? Anybody know? Guess?

For a friend's birthday in July, I bought two $85 tickets on the First Base line for the tomorrow's game with the Texas Rangers. Back then he thought I was crazy because the Angels were sure to clinch by then - and the game would just be a tune-up for the playoffs. Now it's the most important game of the regular season.

I'm a baseball genius!

Go Angels! (But without Vlady as far as I care)

A friend and I are wracking our brains trying to remember the name of a journeyman player the Angels picked up for a season about five years ago - I believe to fill the gap of Glaus/McPherson.

I only remember that the guy was caucasian, he never produced offensively, Scioscia stuck with him maddeningly, and when the bum was interviewed, he always claimed to be a trade-worthy commodity "at the peak of his career." They finally bagged him at the end of the season and ate the rest of his contract. I don't think he played anywhere after that.

No it was not Finley, but a very similar situation.

Any help?

Fire his ass, pure and simple.

Then change the locks on the clubhouse doors.

Moreno should stop paying him and sue him for all salary paid to date for misrepresenting his abilities during contract negotiations - padding his resume with HGH.

It would be better to pay a team of lawyers a million dollars per year to tie him up in court for the rest of his life.

I'm through with him forever. Get it done!
