Been a long time since I posted a fan post and I hope to do this right. Maybe this should be a fan shot. Sorry if this is in the wrong area. After one of the craziest most awesome seasons of 49er football I can remember, I have finally bit the bullet and bought myself plane tickets to SF from Albuquerque NM and tickets to the saints game this weekend. Both my mother and myself will be going and its going to be our first 49er game. The mom was the reason I became a 49er fan so its only fitting that we are going to our first game together. The hotel I am staying in is right near Pier 39? not sure where that is but Im told its right by some beautiful areas to check out after the game. Since I am a N00B to the area and well seeing the 49ers play I have Questions for those of you in the Niners nation that have been to games at "The Stick" or plan on going this weekend.

Considering location of my hotel whats going to be my best transport to the game? Not opposed to spending money. Its my first 49er game and I spent $500 ea per ticket so im not holding any expense back. Just bring that up because I want people to know I am not looking for hte cheapest route but rather the most effective.

Also, Any tailgaters doing anything before the game? I want to get a little tailgate on and celebrate our first playoff appearance in 8 years with some good natured and die hard 49er fans. Im a small drinker and will bring a six pack that I am likely to share.

Lastly, whats the weather like? I want to wear shorts to the game to show off my 49er Tattoos but dont want to freeze my @$$ off in doing so. The weather forecast is projecting low 60's which is short weather here in New Mexico but not sure if humidity changes that. I rarely get a chance to show them off too much except to torment Cowboys fans here which is all good and fun... but showing off to fellow 49er fans would be a treat :)

So i was checking my twitter feed when I noticed a tweet from Adam Schefter about the espn predictions. looking over it I was very pleased to see the 49ers as EVERYONES pick to win the NFC West. One person actually had them going all the way to the superbowl but losing to the ravens there. honestly id rather not make it than lose in one. we gotta keep that undefeated record up. However this got me to thinking we should all write down our predictions for each division winner, wildcards, NFC Champion, AFC champion, SB Winner, and MVP, DPOY, ROY. Hey Guys,

I was just reading PFT for draft pick signings when it came to my attention that not one first or second round pick has actually signed. I know its still early to see anything come from that front but it gave me a great idea for conversation topic. Which 1st round picks are going to be the first to sign, which picks are going to pull the holdout move? which guy is going to see more money than expected for his slot.?

So I am going to throw this out to NINERNATION for debate. Who do you think and why?

Hey Guys, Ive been reading updates from Maicco on the practices today and it really seems like Smith is doing solid. We got two good throws to VD, a Crabs TD, and a Delanie Walker TD, of course its not our first team defense so take that with a grain of salt but so far today looks optimistic for our offense. This brings me to the tweets post from yesterday. I really enjoyed that piece and think if there is someone willing to keep posting that during OTA's that would be AWESOME!! Only tweets I see are Maicco's and its be interesting to see the other beat writers opinions. unfortunately i cant look at these at work. my facebook app on my phone is my only source of info on the community sites. Ninersnation is the only place i can get to at work. Someone save me from a boring day and post some tweets!!!

Hey Guys,

I have a buddy that has a wholesalers account with reebok and mitchell and ness. I get official jerseys for quite the bargain price. Im talking like $55 a jersey. its sick how much these are marked up. anyways. I put in an order every month for friends/family/coworkers and charge them $60 (5$ for my troubles). This has worked great for going on 6 months but recently I have been MAJORLY stiffed. I have a Lawrence Taylor Mitchell and Ness Throwback Size 52 and a Troy Polamalu Size 52 w/ Superbowl Patch that I am not getting paid for. Im down and out about $100. If any of you guys knows any steelers or giants fans that would want this please let me know. Im knocking them down to $50 ea because i need to get rid of them. im losing money but id rather be out $10 than $110.

Ninjames post prompted me to ask this question but since its in no relation ulbrich, I decided to post another.

I have just obtained a Dwight Clark Autographed Jersey (PSA Certified). He signed his name along the 7 in the back and then put the 1.10.82 on the top of the 8 followed by  "The Catch" in the middle of the 8 (Parenthesis are on the jersey) I got this for a STEAL. I got it for like $85 which by all means is about what I can get his jersey without an autograph for. My question to you guys out there that collect. Where is a good place (online) that I can get a quality case to hang this in. I need to get two of them. Ive had a montana auto jersey for 2 years now that I just haven't been able to get a case for. Not alot places in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Peter King of SI.com reports that the Eagles want to move up into first half of the first round, and that they'd like to get either Eric Berry of Tennessee or Earl Thomas of Texas.

Looks like a potential trade partner for 13!!!! I wouldn't mind picking up the extra picks if our tackles aren't there. especially if we can get their 24 and the second rounder the skins gave them. 4th in the second round would be the perfect spot for Saffold or Valdheer if our tackles aren't there.

Hey Guys,

I have a 2 or 3 round mock draft in Ninersnation saturday and I have the chargers. I wanted to get the opinion of the bolts from the blue guys on team needs and prospects you guys like.

A couple of needs I had assessed was a good bruiser RB since Sproles is more of the COP guy. A solid NT was another position I saw a need for and think there will be some solid 2nd round guys for that position. The only other position I see as a need is secondary help and I think some additional depth at LB migiht also be helpful.

What prospects does the chargers nation really like? I know I had some ideas but I wanted to get your guys' take on the prospects.

After the mock is over I will post how I did for you guys and let you guys tell me how bad i did!! lol jk.

Holy Crap, I have a reason to watch golf!!!

Jerry Rice is going to attempt to become a professional golfer. Knowing his work ethic and committment level, I think the guy can do it in time.

I had to throw this out there. I couldnt help but be amazed when I saw this story and hope Jerry can do it.

What does everyone else think? Can THE GOAT become a pro golfer?

Hey Guys, was reading PFT articles and stumbled across a copy of Mayocks opinion on Clausens pro day.

"The most interesting opinion of the day from Mayock was about where Clausen will land in the draft.  He sees Clausen as a "top ten talent" that won't get past San Francisco at pick No. 17. "

I found that quite disappointing. I have respect for Mayock as I think the guy really does his work on his prospects and I value his opinion. It has come in quite handy with my dynasty fantasy football leagues since we keep our roster and build our fantasy teams through rookie drafts like a real nfl team does. Its alot of fun.

But ive digressed. Mayock essentially insinuates that the 49ers should take hiim at 17. In the end, I would love to have dreams of a Notre Dame Alumni wearing a 49ers jersey throwing for massive touchdowns and winning championships, but in all reality.... if the 49ers draft Clausen its going to do one of two things. It will either motivate him and really bring out his abilities so he can be what every 49er fan was hoping for when he was taken #1 overall. OR he totally bombs by midseason and we throw Carr/Clausen in. Either way is bad because if smith does well we have a highly priced backup sitting on the bench doing nothing.

This is a speculation article but Ive noticed alot of this recently since I have him on my IDP PPR Dynasty League. If they trade marion barber away for a 4th or 5th. Thats kind of a steal. I know the guy has alot of miles in a sense but he has only been in a 2 back setup his career and he is 26. he should still have 2 good years left in him.

Any speculation on where he might end up? I was thinking possibly seattle/san diego/houston.. I think san diego would push the hardest with all those extra picks they have this year. My fantasy ownership hopes he lands in san diego but i thought id throw it out there for people.

I toyed with the idea of the niners having barber and gore. (why not for only a 4th or 5th) but in the end that provides insurance and nothing more. the niners really need a COP RB if anything is acquired at that position and bonus kr would be great. but im off subject. where do you guys think barber lands if he is traded or do you think he gets moved anywhere?

Just reading somewhere else on SBNation that the eagles are asking for a 2nd round pick for McNabb.

I see no reasn why this wouldn't be a solid move. Dont get me wrong, Alex may be coming along but what happens in a year pressure filled? will he choke like Derek Anderson did with Cleveland? Considering the great option of trading down from 17 and gaining an extra 2 and then sending that extra 2 to philly seems mighty worth it. 

As rlotts signature put it 1,2,2,3,3 is better than 1,1,2,3 in a deep draft. especially wheen the 1 nets you eric berry. lets add "and a 2 nets you donavan mcnabb". 

Shawn Andrews was released by the eagles today. Any thoughts on signing him. We need O-Line help and the guy is a solid guard. He is coming off of an injury so that will raise some red flags but all in all I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to sign the guy to at least a 1 year contract. The guy could help our current guards with his veteran advice and provide some solid play from the guard position.
