Alfie: "The kids want me to continue."
This is a translation from an interwiew with Alfie in the Swedish newspaper Expressen yesterday, made by Magnus Nyström.
When I see Daniel Alfredsson's smile, two thougts crosses my mind:
Tre Kronor captain will lift the World Cup trophy in Helsinki May 20
Ottawa Senators captain will NOT quit after this season...

A report on the Swedish prospects.
First of all, thank you for the appreciation of my previous post, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Please, excuse me for any typos and bad grammar, I'm a little unused to write in English. Hopefully I can make the piece interesting enough to be worth reading anyway.
But to get to the point. In the SEL, the regular season is now finished and playoff is at game 3 for Brynäs and Jacob Silfverberg. For Mika Zibanejad and Fredrik Claesson in Djurgårdens IF it has been worse, the team finished next to last, which means that they must face the top 4 teams from the second division in a 10 games series to avoid relegation. If you follow me after the jump, I will try to give you some more info about the Swedish prospects and share with you my thoughts about them.

Viktor Fasth, is he the true Cinderella story?
Maybe not, but this is a guy who has had a long and different journey.
Viktor Fasth, who is he? That was probably the words you were told by the common man on the streets of any random Swedish town if you mentioned the name before the spring of 2010. Those of us who follow the SEL closely and has an eye on the lower divisions probably answered, "He's that new goalie talent in Växjö Lakers who is said to be pretty good. The few who really knew ...Yeah, those smiles are probably really big today.

They have told me that I will take a regular spot
Translation from hockeysverige.se
Marcus Johanssons NHL adventure is about to start.
On Sunday he´ll take of for the United States.
Marcus Johansson travels to America to try to break into one of the NHL's most talented teams - the Washington Capitals.
The 19-year-old has already been in Washington this summer at the club's rookie camp.
-It went a bit halvknackigt (not that good) he says.
- It was the first ice sessions, I felt a bit rusty and wasn´t used to the smaller rink. There were a lot of young guys, but none from the NHL. I got to be there to get some extra training in the smaller rink, "he told the NWT.
He did in all cases get a positive feeling with him back to Sweden - and a promise to get every possible chance to win a NHL job immediately.
- The Coaches said to me several times that they belive really hard in me and that I will take a regular spot. But they also told me that I must realize that it takes time to adjust. And that has also been made clear to me by Nicklas Backstrom. For him, it took longer than he had thought, I was told, "said Marcus Johansson.
To all appearances, the former center of Färjestad comes well prepared for the U.S. Capital. During the summer, he left nothing to chance.
- I ran very hard all summer. First, with the guys in the FBK and also several additional times a week. Ulf Karlsson has been my personal fitness coach. We've been running speed, agility, inline, and much more, "he says, referring to the former coach of the Swedish track and field team.
