Adrian Dantley on Sunday confirmed a New York Post report that he has been let go. His contract, expiring at the end of this month, won’t be renewed for next season. "Oh, yeah, I’m done,’’ Dantley said. "(Nuggets coach George Karl) fired me Friday.’’ - Chris Tomasson

Wojnarowski: Pistons will pass on Kemba Walker?

Kemba Walker could be the player dropping in lottery, especially because sources say Toronto (5th pick) and Detroit (8th) will pass on him. @WojYahooNBA

Hawks Shopping Josh Smith

The Atlanta Hawks have started to gauge trade interest on forward Josh Smith and Smith isn’t averse to ending his seven-year stay with his hometown team, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. Smith hasn’t requested a trade, but has privately told league friends that the Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic Detroit Pistons are his preferred destinations should the Hawks decide to move him. Smith has two years and $25.6 million left on his contract. - The Wojinator, Yahoo Sports

Pistons will tender Rodney Stuckey qualifying offer

In an expected move, the Pistons will tender guard Rodney Stuckey a $3.8 million qualifying offer this week, as Monday was the first day the team could do so. The team has until June 30 to make an offer, which would make Stuckey a restricted free agent. - Vince Goodwill, The Detroit News

Pistons To Interview Casey?

"Dwane Casey, the defensive architect behind the Mavericks' championship shutdown of the Heat's Big Three, is high on the Pistons' list of head coaching candidates, league sources told CBSSports.com Monday. The Pistons, who already have reached out to former Hawks coach Mike Woodson and received permission to interview Bucks assistant Kelvin Sampson, Celtics assistant Lawrence Frank, and Timberwolves assistant Bill Laimbeer, will reach out to Mavs general manager Donnie Nelson Tuesday with a request to interview Casey." -Ken Berger, CBS Sports

David Aldridge: Pistons should sign-and-trade Prince for Kaman and draft Kawhi

From NBA.com: Pistons will try to re-sign Tayshaun Prince, but it's not just up to them, and if Prince wants to walk Detroit will need a three to replace him. (Just a thought: doesn't a sign-and-trade between the Pistons and Clippers, with Compton-born Prince going home to L.A. and Grand Rapids-born Chris Kaman going to Detroit make too much sense not to happen? The Clips desperately need a veteran presence in their locker room, as well as a three, and the Pistons could use a center that would allow them to move emerging Greg Monroe to power forward. Trade for Kaman, take Leonard at eight and, voila! A frontcourt is born.) So, to sum up: Phase One: Trade for Kaman, draft Leonard. Phase Two: ? Phase Three: Profit!

Pistons Fire Kuester

The Detroit Pistons have fired coach John Kuester. The move Sunday came four days after Tom Gores completed an agreement to purchase the Pistons from Karen Davidson. Kuester was 57-107 over two years with Detroit, which failed to make the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since missing it three straight times from 1993-95. Detroit won its third championship in 2004, part of a six-year streak in which the team reached at least the conference finals, but the Pistons went 27-55 in 2009-10 and 30-52 this past season. - San Jose Mercury News

Star Tribune: Jonny Flynn to the Pistons?

Rubio a Wolf?: What does it mean? Well... * Say goodbye to Jonny Flynn. You can bet he will be traded by draft night to make room exclusively for Rubio. Possible trading partners: Toronto, Detroit, Sacramento, Phoenix.

Knicks Pick Up $14.2M Option to Keep Billups

The Knicks had until Friday to pick up the option or pay Billups a $3.7 million buyout.

Jerry Sloan May Not Be Done Yet

"Jerry Sloan declared "I'm not looking for another job" when he resigned in February as Utah's coach after 23 seasons there, but he hasn't necessarily retired for good. Sloan would listen if another team approached him, according to a source who has spoken to Sloan recently, and would seriously consider the right situation. But he won't actively seek another job or have anyone campaign for him." - Jerry Zgoda, Star Tribune Methinks we oughta do some approachin'...

Ilgauskas is weak and Juwan Howard is a HUGE douchebag.

Another Pistons Bidder Awaits

Don't tilt your heads just yet.

Yahoo! Sports Thinks Richard Hamilton Is A Loser

Hamilton nearly had the freedom he covets but didn’t want to surrender part of the last season of his contract to do so. Hamilton has bickered with Pistons coach John Kuester most of the season and has played in just one game since Jan. 10. The Pistons were close to trading him to the Cavs – along with a first-round pick – but Hamilton didn’t want to play in Cleveland. The Cavs would have still taken him if he would have given up about $9 million of the $25 million he’s owed over the next two seasons. Hamilton balked. Now, he’s staying in Detroit with no clear role for the future.

Nets, Nuggets Reach (Another) Tentative Deal on Carmelo (Again)

The deal is pending Anthony's agreement on a long-term contract extension with the Nets. The trade would send Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Sheldon Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman to New Jersey, and Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh and four first-round draft picks to Denver. Denver would then try to unload Murphy's contract on a third team, presumably using one or more of the picks received from New Jersey. That had better be us, Denver. You jerks.

Get off Will Bynum's back, dude-bro.

"Bynum is far from the problem on the Pistons. It’s fair to criticize him when he makes a bad play, but this is the simple truth: if every Piston played with the heart and intensity that Bynum plays with, they’d be a playoff team." From PistonPowered

Ujiri, U Fool

"In the proposed trade, New York would send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota and the Timberwolves would send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver. Denver would also receive Wilson Chandler from New York." Carmelo Anthony = Corey Brewer, Wilson Chandler and a top-5 pick in a weak draft. Way to hold out for the best deal possible, Ujiri.

Pacers Fire O'Brien

We should do the same... amirite?

Dwyer: Kuester is at fault in Rip "soap opera"

But this, Pistons coach John Kuester, is ridiculous. Because Rip Hamilton is not a "Did Not Play-Coach's Decision" player at this point in his career, yet he's sat for eight straight games. And even in the context of the miserable Pistons, with all those like-minded guards taking long jumpers, he's still not a DNP-CD player. There's no reason for him not to be out there, if even for token minutes.

NBA Lottery Mock Draft is back!

FanHouse: McGrady's Rebirth as Point Guard
