Enberg to the Padres...What the?
Moreno does not miss often but this would have been the most brilliant signing of the off season. Dick Enberg is a hall of fame broadcaster and former Halo. Signing Enberg to a multi-year deal on the verge of Scully's impending retirement would have been Moreno's greatest LA coup to date. It would have assured Halo dominance over the LA airwaves for years to come. Congrats to the Friars...Touch'em all!
Oh my!

Do not fail to recognize our new Royalty - Reagins is King!!
Very simply, this is a brilliant move! We are much better today with Tex in the lineup. In fact, everyone in the lineup gets a little better today. In addition, I think we can resign him once he gets a taste of Scioscia baseball. Worst case: Morales, Trumbo and a couple top draft picks - hell, I might even prefer that list (and the extra 25MM to spend). GO HALOS. Tony, you are King!!! Now, go get Sherrill or another dominant lefty. KING TONY!

George Sherrill makes us better
Trading for Sherrill makes a lot of sense to me. I would trade Willits, Quinlin and/or a couple of "B" prospects for him. He would round out our bullpen and give us another option when Frankie signs with the Yankees during the off season. Shields, Speier and Sherrill - all have at least some experience closing out ballgames. Mix in the phenom (Arrendondo) and we should have a pretty good battle for the closer position next year. Hell, there is a good possibility Escobar might return in a relief capacity and that would create another solid option at the back end. Mentally I have already prepared myself for life after Frankie and I think the Halos would be wise to do the same. At the same time, I know Reagins will appreciate the extra 15MM to go big bat shopping this winter.
