Backup QB from somebody else's PS?
Ok, so as I was purusing the Mocking the Draft bolg, I came accross a thread where people were predicting their projected rosters. Take a minute to look over Carolina's projected 52 man; I'll wait...
CarolinaQB-Matt Moore, Jimmy Clausen, Hunter Cantwell
RB-DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Tyrell Sutton, Mike Goodson
FB-Tony Fiametta
WR-Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell, Armanti Edwards, Dwayne Jarret, Wallace Wright
TE-Jeff King, Dante Rosario, Gary Barnidge
OT-Jordan Gross, Jeff Otah, Geoff Schwartz, Gary Williams
OG-Travelle Wharton, Duke Robinson, Mackenzy Bernadeau
C-Ryan Kalil, Dustin Fry
DE-Everette Brown, Charles Johnson, Tyler Brayton, Greg Hardy
DT-Tank Tyler, Louis Leonard, Ed Johnson, Corey Irvin
LB-Jon Beason, Thomas Davis, Dan Connor, Jamar Williams, James Anderson, Eric Norwood
CB-Chris Gamble, Richard Marshall, Captain Munnerlynn, C.J. Wilson, Marcus Hudson, Brian Witherspoon
FS-Sherrod Martin, Jordan Pugh
SS-Charles Godfrey, Aaron Francisco
ST-John Kasay, Jason Baker, Aaron Pettrey, J.J. JansenPractice Squad: Tony Pike, David Gettis, Rashawn Jackson, Robert Mclain, Kurtis Gregory, Mortty Ivy, Dexter Jackson, R.J. Stanford
Yes, that's right. This guy thinks Tony Pike will be practice squad material. I hope he is right. I would love to leave Carolina scratching their head when we snap him up off waivers in about 5 mins.
BUT...I don't really see that happening with Pike. My question to pose to the rest of you: Are there some viable options out there from another team's PS that we could use to get JT the hell out of town? Talk amongst yourselves.
Mocking the Draft -- opinions wanted
I'm drafting for us on a fan's mock draft over at MTD. Pittsburgh is on the clock at 18. The have been several suprises so far (McClain goes number 5 before Berry at 7, Calusen goes to the Raiders at 8 and Bradford to Buffalo at 9, Pouncey goes to Denver at 11).
Earl Thomas is gone.
I will not draft Gresham or JPP.
Assuuming that Pittsburgh goes for Kyle Wilson and not Mike Iupatu; the three players left that I am considering are Dez Bryant, Mike Iupati and Taylor Mays. Your thoughts?
Gibril Wilson Released from Dolphins
Is he a good fit? 93 Tackles last season. 13 Career picks.
I think that a TO signing along with Wilson could really improve our position to draft best player availible early on.
Now we could take the DT or DE that slides to us in the first (if not draft an interior lineman). Draft the TE with 2nd/3rd round and look to address 2 or 3 other positional issues. We would be in a spot to truly build depth.
Any thoughts?
