Random off topic, so I threw it here.... I saw that Grantland ran a reprint of an article Hunter wrote in 1970 when covering the Kentucky Derby, with Ralph Steadman in tow (he's the guy that illustrates the crazy Flying Dog beer labels, for my craft fans). He was writing for a counter-culture magazine at the time called Scanlan's, but of course posing as a Playboy writer,. So without further ado....

There's been a phenomenal running bit about perhaps the greatest sound bit ever recorded in professional sports. I am of course speaking of the Mighty Mitch Petrus rant on the sidelines to AB during the Falcons game. After much debate, I decided to sit down and do my best to transcribe the 2nd greatest orator in Arkansas history. This is the best I could come up with.
