Bring the Rays home to Tampa... Sign the Petition
http://builditdowntowntampa.org/default.aspx
Looks like this is brand new. This is the best possible option for the team. No one can argue that a location in Tampa has less drawing power than any location in Pinellas. Much closer to the center of the area (no one is commuting from the middle grounds in the gulf). There is a petition on the site that was just started.

Looks like a re-do of the Trop wont happen

Bring the team to Tampa... This has always been the best solution. Much more centralized location, more population, more corporate oppritunities. Just a better solution all around. The best option i have seen is the park to the north of UT on the hillsborough river right by downtown. Somebody did a in-depth study and posted it somewhere on a board but I can't find it anymore.

Longoria's Back... Hopefully he brought our offense with him
Longoria back, Rays vs White Sox
The struggling Rays offense will welcome back slugging third baseman Evan Longoria, who has rejoined the team and is back in the lineup tonight for the second game of the series with the White Sox.
Longoria had missed the past two games while in California due to a death in the family. He led the majors in homers (5) before he left.
Right-hander James Shields gets the start for the Rays, coming off a strong last outing in Baltimore.
Gabe Gross gets the start in rightfield, as the White Sox send ex-Cy Young winner RHP Bartolo Colon to the mound.

Who runs it: This blog is part of SBNation, "sports blogs for fans, by fans."
Why you need it: The blog was founded in 2005 and, in a mission statement of sorts, offers "progressive statistical analysis and reasoned argument" about the Tampa Bay Rays. It's a bit dry, but plenty of info.

I found this a little humorus, but good pub for the site.
Buster Olney on the Rays
Sally, Syracuse: Buster! - Who has the best rotation in the MLB right now..?
Buster Olney: Sally: Hmmmmm.... If I had to take any group of five, I might take that of the Rays, who didn't lose a start to injury for four months last season.

Seymour, Brooklyn: Who wins the AL East?
Buster Olney: Seymour: I think I'm going to pick the Rays. The kiss of death for them.
