With regards to FSU’s scheduled game at West Virginia in 2013, FSU athletic director Randy Spetman said today that "We’re planning to go there. We’re planning to go up and play that game," [said] Spetman. "It’s on our schedule, we’ll go there."

In all the talk of how brilliantly Spetman has handled this, let's settle down for a reality check. Did FSU intentionally advertise a 2012 season ticket with a game it never intended to play? Or did Spetman have every intention of playing the 2012 game, and does he still have every intention of playing the 2013 game? Which is it, folks? Why is he even talking about that game? Why is it even on the table still? If the entire series wasn't voided, how is he going to talk our way out of the six-game 2013 schedule now, which was THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Hello? This was all brilliant PR on FSU's part? What?

Tomahawk Nation Rejected T-Shirt Ideas for Tomahawk Nation

Hello everyone.  Yes, this is one of those posts you can skip if you're short on time and looking for real info.  (No one got hurt and Bobby Bowden didn't die this morning.  There.)  But if you're long on time and looking for fake info, well, come on in.

Another reason you don't need a Rivals subscription anymore. (And I bet this was one of your last reasons.) First year I recall FSU SID providing this info so early, i.e., plenty of time for your NCAA 10 roster. Knock yourself out.

Tomahawk Nation TRMNole's FSU Spring Wrap-Up 2009: A Non-Essential Guide to Seriously Don't Bother Reading This

In the days leading up to Florida State's Garnet and Gold Spring Game, you may have been excited to read that some members of the Tomahawk Nation community would be contributing first-hand photos, and perhaps video, from the event.  No doubt you were enticed by words like "Digital SLR", "Point-and-Shoot," and "ELON II-E."  Well, I don't know what those things are.  Armed with my FUJIFILM FinePix A700, my mission was to capture the magic and pageantry of FSU's annual spring showcase with style and flair.  I failed spectacularly.  That's actually the good news as the glorified scrimmage was a snoozefest.  (That was the most subtle reference to Bobby Bowden taking a nap ever.)  The bad news is that in my efforts I managed to document the behind-the-scenes horrors of FSU's football program in ways I never intended.

Tomahawk Nation The Chuck Amato Mad Lib

Anytime I read one of Tomahawk Nation's very funny takes on Chuck Amato (MattD is reigning king), a thought occurs to me:  We make fun of Amato a lot on this site.  Yet somehow not nearly enough.  And then it also occurred to me that with all the work MattD and the rest of us put into "critiquing" CTC's "contributions" at Florida State - what about you, gentle reader?  What about those of you who haven't yet had the chance to participate in this experience?

Presenting the Chuck Amato Mad Lib.  I threw this together fairly quickly, but the best part about a Chuck Amato piece is that it largely writes itself.  The even better part about this particular piece?  You get to fill in the blanks.  Finally it's your turn.

Tomahawk Nation What the ACC must do right now

One of our regulars, TMRNole, took a lot of time to write an article on improving the ACC.  I decided to feature his work.  What fix does he propose?   You'll have to read it to find out.
