Iverson to the Bulls in Gordon S/T?!?!

According to Ken Berger at CBSSports, there is a Ben Gordon sign and trade situation that would send Gordon to Detroit and Iverson to the Bulls. Details to come but if we get Iverson I could only assume Kirk is gone. I doubt the Bulls are thinking win-now, Iverson might only get a one year contract so we could dump Kirk and still have a combo guard behind Salmons and Rose. This move might give us the flexibility to sign 2 decent players and get a top 10 pick next year. Addition by subtraction.

Gordon, Deng situation.

After we draft we will have roughly 10 million to throw around am I not the only one who thinks having Josh Smith or Andre Iguodala? Who wouldnt want to get out of Atlanta and play with us/ Andre Iguodala is from Illinois just like a certain PG in the draft. Smith turns 23 in December Iggy turns 25 in January. Out of Deng, Gordon, Smith and Igoudala we only have enough loot to pay one.  Ben Gordon is a great shooter but gets exposed defensively from being undersized and a lack of explosiveness. The fact we are stuck with Hughes means Gordons out. Deng seemes to disappear in more important games. He is a great guy who will never give anyone in the front office problems a hard worker as well. His lack of explosiveness and three point shooting are the reasons he cant create his own shot. How both of these guys played for their contract years was pretty bad I mean the whole Kobe thing could of got to them too but if that was going to effect their performance that much there is a problem. Look at the stats PER 48.

Igoudala 24.1 ppg 6.1 rpg 5.8 apg 2.53 stl 0.73 blk 1.83 ato 495% afg

Smith 23.3 ppg 11.1 rpg 4.5 apg 2.05 stl 3.79 blk 1.11 ato 468% afg

Deng 24.2 ppg 8.9 rpg 3.5 apg 1.29 stl 0.65 blk 1.29 ato 483% afg

Smith is clearly the best of these 3 and is 8 months younger than Deng and 2 years younger than Igoudala. I know hes not effecient offensively as Igoudala but if we draft a certain young point guard he could help. Imagine Rose on a fast break having an option of Smith, Tyrus, Gooden and Hughes. Speaking of Tyrus if we were to get Smith we could ship Tyrus alongside of Kirk in return for a solid center. Defensively we could have Noah, Tyrus, Smith, Nocioni, Rose that should get us back to near leauge leading defense again.

Noah - Grey

Gooden - Tyrus

Smith - Nocioni

Hughes - Sefolasha

Rose - Hinrich

If we sign Smith for around 10-12 million a year that leaves us with 10 million more for next season if we dont spend that we will have 25 for 2004 draftee or an Amare.

Could we offer more than NJ for Melo?

As you heard the rumors with the Denver - Jersey trade the Nuggets were offering Richard Jefferson and this years pick for Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby. I think we could offer something better than that how about this.

Denver gets: Deng, Hinrich, Gray and next years first rounder.

Chicago gets: Melo, Camby and JR Smith

After that if we could get any cap relief for a package of Hughes, Nocioni and Gooden. We would be in excellent shape. I dont know how the rule exactly works but I know Portland owes Stevie Franchise 17 million next year that would be beautiful.
