Maybe this is why he hasn't seen the field yet this year. I'm suspecting if any of this rings true he's gone from both football and hoops. Sad for a kid who came in so highly ranked, sadder still for a program having a problem with discipline and now coach's health. Ugh.

Just saw this on Twitter. Real bummed. I liked him as the lockdown defender/ perimeter presence next season. I think Sparty is deep enough w/o him, but still, 3 seniors are better than two. Would have been nice if this worked out, but it seems we don't often do that well with guys who come from way out of state (Lorbek, MoJo, now Allen).

Looks like he's transferring to UCF and petitioning for immediate eligibility. Too bad he never worked out, but I won't miss him. That's one more scholarship for coach to use in the future. Wonder if it would have tipped the scales on the Ziegler recruitment? Either way, I don't think his departure will affect the team too much in either direction. Does anyone know anything about the status of Dion Sims and the hoops team? I don't see him on the roster but know he was pretty highly touted coming out of HS? What's the word? I'd love to see him challenging for some minutes and gotta believe Izzo would never turn down another big banger. He probably wouldn't play much at all this year but I could see him pitching in down the line.
