At it again...
I know that we are currently concentrating all of our collective typing and research efforts to get us in to first place of the Pacific Division but I got this itch that keeps coming back.
As some of you may know Terrence was, in Houston, under the bottom of the Rockets barrel. Recently Terrence has garnered a little bit of success in Sacramento. Even so that coach Keith Smart spoke on Terrence's contributions to the team and how they open up the ability to make other changes.
I'm still on the Terrence hunt.
Chris Paul..... ......Blake Griffin ?
This was a topic I wanted to bring up a week or so ago and had not the opportunity, and with Chris Pauls' latest heroics, it has made this topic "meatier".
The Hornets will now have an owner...Finally.
Hopefully soon, after the sale is official, his first quote to the media can be "I would have done the same deal with the Clippers not the deal with the Lakers".
The Case for Terrence: Something beneath the surface
We have been a team on a new frontier. From the stank dank coffin of the ship hull to top of the deck with one hand on the helm with a head cocked toward the 'crows nest'. With that ascent comes a more refined pallet and elevated expectations. We start to expect that we can get what we want. Recently we learned that we can't get it all just yet. Clipper GM and coach Vinnie were in the J.R. sweepstakes. When indentured servant turned mesne lord of estate, Chauncey Billups went down for the season, the Clippers went full steam ahead of the rather drought swingman well hunt. A well devoid of mentionable talent that had not already be claimed to stake is what the Clippers were fishing in and the one big bass was J.R. Smith. With Mr. Smith going to Gothem, the Clipper organization's fishery now consists of minnows and guppies for possible options. My focus is on once spirited marlin now knuckled under tuna. Or so it seems.
Eric Gordon says the Clippers "lied to his face", Kaman says the organization did not have the "guts" to tell him to his face...(a very telling article as told from both sides, with quotes)
"All you do is take the man’s word and take that he said that no one is going to go anywhere," Gordon told Yahoo! Sports.
"I’m not deceptive enough to look players in the eye and tell them something that is not true," Olshey said.
---
"The Clippers didn’t tell me anything. They didn’t tell me I was traded or nothing after eight years...."-Kaman
"Unfortunately in today’s social media it didn’t matter if they were home, on a bus, shootaround, out to dinner," Olshey said. "We would never get to them before other people got to them or it ended up on Twitter."

Me on that "Marreese Speights" TRADE tip again...
I keep lingering on this deal; Acquiring Marreese Speights. When converting his stats to a Per36 mins average, they are pretty close to that of Paul Milsap, except Speights is taller. This guy seems to be a great back up to fit our needs.
Tonight against Phoenix: Godon for the win!
Tonight I watched the New Orleans versus Phoenix game. Gordon had the opportunity to have the ball in his possession for the last shot for the lead and nailed it. I was waiting for Gordon to mess up in his new role but he did not fail. Then on defense watched Gordon make it very difficult for Phoenix to get the ball in to Steve Nash for their last 4.5 seconds to take the lead back
The Clippers official web page announcement of signing Reggie Evans.....but notice the last line
We spent much time trying to figure out the bench and all of the many variations possible. Many of us thought that we really couldn't get by with the bench that we had. Even the pundits at ESPN concur that we need a big for Deandre and a defensive swingman. Well it looks like the Clippers have an opinion of the line-up in the interim.

A guick ESPN sit down w/Blake and Chris Paul
These two leave some very telling statements about how much they care about what Clipper history says and what people think of it.
Had to do it one more time!

Checking in on the A.C.E (Al-Farouq Chris Eric) in NOLA
You get a few quotes from the guys since they've arrived and a few from the coach and GM.
Clipper coach Vinney Del Negro is about to feel some real pressure
Plaschke writes a short great article on VDN's new found situation.
*Phooo!* Looks like I'm going to have to dust this off
This was made for me by one of my brother's a die hard Laker fan. This was just the back of it. But when I wore this last, the Clippers made it to the playoffs.
Not to mention, when I wore this to the game, there were a few inquires as to it's origin. Here are some other shots of it. They will be posted ( hopefully) in the responses. What I keep it dusty and put away or should it see the light of day once more. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .
A Farewell to Kaman and Gordon
An idea came to me. With much of the sentimental value held for Gordon and Kaman for seemingly different but very dear reasons. I figured a fanpost dedicated solely for the purpose of showing appreciation. A greeting card if you will. To finally get all of the goodbyes out of the way and move forward to looking to the future. I know Hydrt007 and NBAfan8 could definitely use this little bit of space....as well as myself perhaps. Very basic. I'm sure they may read it (just like the ESPN guys and Clipper front office secretly do)

Heres an interesting (at least to me) comparison to CP3 and Eric Bledsoe's first years in the NBA.
This will be on a per 36 min average. Not too shabby for Bledsoe. If Bledsoe can keep it up and show a steady rate of improvement, he definitely would be starter material. What we do know is that Bledsoe has great potential for defense, steals (like Paul) and a few blocks. He is ultra quick (perhaps the quickest?). Bledsoe has also shown some great flashes of passing flair.
Howard wants the other L.A. team.....still.
Former team mate talks of what Howard wants.
Dump Gomes, sign Prince AND Battier.
With all of the much hyped talk of Howard and Paul wafting around, something a little more sound would be ideal. Solidify our weakest position with wily veterans who produce.
Eric Gordon Fresh Mix
A little pause and Clipper feel good.

We need less than we profess.
This is just some perspective: With two players on the Clippers averaging 22+ ppg., we are in a much better position than most teams. In fact, when you total the top five scorers for each team the Clippers only come behind Miami, New York and Golden State, and the latter two coming from teams that actually forbade the word "defense" to be used while during company time.
Eric Gordon = Mitch Richmond ?

This Draft Pick scorn is rubbish... Here is a realistic winning off-season.
The Clippers GM Neil O. has come across and reiteratedhis goal of acquiring free agents in the off-season and this has a good year of solid free-agents, free-agents that can fit into the team quite nicely. Two players that come to mind are playing the same position we acquired free-agents last summer...ironically (does that mean we failed last summer?). Now, this option I would even choose over one like trading Kaman for an Andre Iguodala.
Did anybody notice at the end of the game Blake and VDN?
At the end of the game a camera shot goes to Vinny standing near the scorers table handing out "fives" for the win, in comes Blake, Vinny has his hand out and Blake walks and as he gets to Vinny's outstretched hand he turns his head and shoulders away from Vinny while pushing his hand away with his elbow.
Coming up right now on local channel 2
...is a Clip on Blake Griffin that I recorded when the first aired it. Its pretty good, and you hear the Laker cronies talking about him. I was surprised no one saw it. Check it out now.

Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon: Tango & Cash
About every 10 years in the NBA, you get a pairing of forces that are so dynamic, so profound that the whole league takes notice. These pairings can be so demanding that TV stations change there regular scheduled programming to pay hommage. We can just look back at some of the these pairings, some great, some once in a lifetime:
Aminu nickname (to throw out there with with everything else)
"Acid" ....that's the nickname....
... Aminu Acid
it's one thing that jumped out at me. i pulled marion-webster's online dictionary definition of amino acid.
" an amphoteric organic acid containing the amino group NH2; especially : any of the various amino acids having the amino group in the alpha position that are the chief components of proteins and are synthesized by living cells or are obtained as essential components of the diet"
...the "glue" guy, to hold Blake and Gordon together as a great duo.
Baron Davis and ESPN
An insightful short piece into Baron's mindset. I have to say that it is good talk and inspiring as well, boding well for long term thoughts and the proper transitioning of roles for him at his current age.
Washington Post- A Griffin and Gordon Clipper Article
I like this article. It's a positive one.
Something Radical.
I write this with aspirations of opening a few eyes, primarily those of the newly founded Clipper coaching staff, whether is Vinney Del Negro or even the last ma non the totum-pole, Howard Eisley. I have a vision, rather an ever so faint vision: Let's do something radical. And upon breaking it down, this may not e so radical after all, since this league has already hosted 6'4" power forwards who lead the league in rebounds, 7-foot foreigners who are nimble; shoot the three...well and who aren't centers, 6'10 point guards and white guys who CAN dunk.
clippers.com did good thorough breakdown of the "Top 10" free agents of 2010.
Even though a few of these players have now been spoken for the list and examination of players and their fit with was pretty honest and descriptive for clipper.com standards.
