This was stated in another diary but I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention. Two years ago VY led our beloved Longhorns against the evil men of Troy in my estimation the greatest college football game ever to an UNDISPUTED National Championship. So wear your burnt orange will much pride and wish everyone you see a "Happy Vince Young Day."

But what he got when he visited the Cowboys this week to hear the team's sales pitch was severe sticker shock – $100,000 each for two personal seat licenses, a new feature that would allow him to buy tickets at the team's new $1 billion stadium in Arlington. And those seats near Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' luxury box weren't even for the priciest seat licenses in the new stadium – those go for $150,000.

I find this to be outrageous and the cause of the lack of excitement at many professional atheletic events, primarily the NBA. Blue collared fans, who in my generalized opinion, are the most devout fans, but with prices like these fans are priced out of attending the game. I hope Texas/OU is never moved there because I can only imagine how much more expensive tickets will become.

Fiesta Bowl: KU vs OU

There could be an All-Big 12 clash in the desert.

If top-ranked Missouri doesn't reach the Bowl Championship Series title game, Fiesta Bowl officials have discussed the possibility of Oklahoma and Kansas playing in the Jan. 2, 2008, game in Glendale, Ariz.

Obviously we are all hoping Mizzou beats OU in the Big 12 Championship ((1) cause I will throw up if OU wins another Big 12 Championship and (2) Big 12 to win the national championship), but if OU by the grace of the devil goes to the Fiesta Bowl what do y'all think of this matchup. I think this doesn't bode well for the Big 12 because we want to see how we perform against other conferences not against each other.

But they won't be playing a Texas team. Notre Dame and Washington State will be playing in San Antonio in 2009: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200... I don't like the idea of two out of state teams coming to Texas to show off their schools to local recruits.

I know our franchise is only a few years old, but what makes sports great is having a rival. Who do y'all consider to be our rival? The Cowboys because they are from Dallas? The Titans because they are the old Oilers? The Jaguars because they are in our division and we can actually beat them? I know none of these teams will reciprocate the feeling, but what do y'all feel?

Undisputed Champions?

Would you consider UF the undisputed champions? Boise State was the only undefeated team and actually received one first place in the AP Poll. I'd claim that in this century the only undisputed national champions have been us last year and Ohio State in 2002, because both teams received all of the AP votes, won the BCS, and the BCS game was clearly 1 vs. 2.

Here are the controveries:

2006 - Boise State is undefeated
2004 - Auburn is undefeated, left out of the game
2003 - USC wins the AP poll, LSU the BCS
2001 - Nebraska doesn't win the Big 12 but plays in the MNC, and Oregon feels left out
2000 - OU plays FSU, even though Miami beat FSU earlier that year and was ranked # 2 in the AP.

Any thoughts?

We are number 1, Florida is 2, LSU is 3, OU is 4, and Wisconsin is 5. I really don't want Florida or Ohio State to be the first school to win both championships in the same year.

Also, Texas A&M could not be found on the list, oh what a travesty.

BE ROOTING FOR THE TEXANS!

I know that VY is our man, he lead us to the glory land, but if you really are a Texans fans root for the Texans to win their 5th game. If you don't care for the Texans, then by all means root for the Titans.

If your logic is "well, I hate Bob McNair because he didn't draft VY, so I will root for the Titans" remember that you are rooting for Bud Adams' team. If memory serves me right, Bud Adams is the devil; he dismantled the old Astros scoreboard, traded Warren Moon, and moved the team to Tennnessee. Bud Adams betrayed the city of Houston and every Oilers fan.

If the Browns pass up on Troy Smith and the Ravens draft him, I doubt any self respecting member of the Dawg Pound will root for the Ravens.

Futhermore, John McClain clarifies this point in his blog: http://blogs.chron.com/nfl/2006/12/never_forget_that_vy_is_buds_g_1.html

Vince Young is a Longhorn, but on Sunday he will be wearing the enemy's colors. Mario Williams and DeMeco Ryans will revive "the House of Pain."
