Rival Zips (Cleveland Indians)

Wow what a difference a year makes......
Important off season for the Tribe as they attempt to "fill" certain holes. No doubt that talent still exist for the mistake by the lake but I think the point remains that the Central is very much a winnable division and even if trimming payroll is part of the plan, KW has to feel pretty decent.

Man I just wish we had gotten more for Swisher or not given up on him yet.

In case anyone missed this on hard ball times yesterday. Their slant on the prediction performance (I say their because the other systems will also cherry pick a few filtered measurements in their favor). Just something to keep in mind as we await projections for next year.

Here goes. I thought it may be a little fun for each of us to look back at this season and maybe find one post or statement moving into the 08 season that is now silly or was just dead wrong that we made. I think mine is pretty obvious as I was reminded of it by a certain person's tagline for quite some time.

I know how much the site likes to do this anyway so it shouldnt take long for you to do a search on your own name and find a little dirt. Or maybe you were just PERFECT.

At this point I don't care if I was wong about everything... The Sox are in the playoffs and that wasn't suppose to happen for the NEXT DECADE!

I will of course go first. Please join in or you can just laugh at me.......

Oh I forgot the Sox will soon envy

Their impressive display of avg 60+ wins. We don't even have to wager. The Rays win 80 games and I will ship you your favorite 6 pack or bottle of reasonable wine.

Hey people. With the off day I figured this might be a good day to compare notes on fantasy baseball. I have a few drafts coming up and Im interested in what is in other people's minds, regarding the year.

I promise no arguing Larry :-). I figure the easiest way to do it is to post a list and we can maybe point out who we feel might provide more value for their ranking or less. The list I will use will be Roto's Top 100.

Lastly of course we can add any players to comment on outside the 100 that could provide extreme value (Carlos Pena anyone?)

If I am off base and there is no interest I apologize in advance. Ill post some names and continue to edit until all up.

I thought it would be good to put something up for us to chat to those interested. My intial reaction to Waxman's opening statement and the following ones is Mr. Clemens is going down.

Clemens for his part has initally remained defiant that he has never done PEDS. Mac has stated again that Petite has confirmed and Knob has confirmed.

Waxman has revealed that the committee has evidence from taped conversations that Clemens has been caught in some lies. Let the sweat and questions begin.

With MLB's latest steriod - PED drama on the Mitchell report would any care to speculate on some of the UNKNOWN names that will be mentioned?

If the folks are as well known as they say how much more can be tainted? My first guess is catcher Mike Piazza. My second guess is his majesty Aaron Rowand.

I know most are tired of the whole thing but this report would definitely add juicy notes to the off season... And I wanted to guess outside the obvious unnamed, like Sosa.

For fans of the first two. Do yourself a favor and don't walk, RUN to see this third installment.

This is how a third should be done. Very good and action packed. We thoughly enjoyed the movie.

Dare I say a Bourne prequel in which we see him as his bad self before the amnesia?

Anyway its kind of rare to get this quality of film this far out and Im fast becoming a fan of director Paul Greengrass (Bourne II and III, United 93). Has anyone read the books?

He still walks too many and of course had the 1 horrible start BUT...

Has anyone else paid attention to him as a starter?

He continues to K at a respectable rate down there. He is still a 24 lefty that throws heat. His mentality really may be better as a starter than reliever.

At what point as he is stretched out the remainder of the year will you take notice? Any general thoughts or am I off my rocker.

Hell without his explosion in Col we may have really spoke positive of him already....
