Chris Level just tweeted that Tech signed a DE from the JUCO ranks. Don't know who it is. I am sitting on a plane in St Louis about to take off. Someone should check into it. I wanted to ask this question to the DTN Nation because I really have no answer to this. I don't get into deep statistics and play-by-play breakdowns of performances like Seth, London, and other more talented contributors here. So I pose the question...what has happened?

Here are the brief facts: 1) We had a record of 5-2 with a win over the #3 team in the country. 2) We were a blocked FG for a TD and a pick six away from beating A&M and K-State (i.e., two plays away from being undefeated). 3) Our defense had improved and our offense was productive.

Then...1) Our defense couldn't stop anyone. 2) Our offense couldn't score on anyone. 3) We have been outscored 159-33 in three games, including the worst loss on the scoreboard in school history.

We are...1) Now in danger of having the first losing record in 16 years. 2) Not being bowl eligible for about as long. 3) One home win in two years. 4) And, our program is in much worse shape than Tuberville found it in when he arrived.

I've thought about injuries or schedules or changes on the coaching staff or talent. But I can't put my finger on what the issue, or issues, really are. I almost refuse to believe that Tuberville can't coach this team to a better record. But as they say, you are what your record says you are.

So, I ask for your help. How could we have had such a sudden turn? What has happened?

Just saw where OU President says they are looking at their options and will have an answer inn three weeks or so. Sorry, don't have link. Saw on Stewart Mandela tweet. Things are getting interesting! Maybe Hocutt is working his relationship to leave UT to find their way through the maze alone. Highly doubtful but I can dream. Oh, FYI...don't pencil in a win against Baylor just yet. They are destroying TCU. Although they are clearly a shell of last year's team.

I will let you guys read this but there is no mention of Tech. They have us at 8-4/4-4 behind UT, OU, and atm.  They actually have Jerrod Johnson as the offensive MVP.  Why do people think he is so great?  He puts up big numbers but makes big mistakes too.  If putting up huge numbers was the only requirement for this award, then it would have been given to the Tech QB for the last 10 yrs!

I am sure there are a ton of reports right now, but I saw this one on the SI site.  It also mentioned Williams coming out early.  I certainly understand Crabs going, but really do think Williams could benefit from another year.  Good luck to both!

Guess I better start gearing up for basketball.  Just haven't been able to make that transition yet after the football season we had.
