Great video of Dareus...
Until around :40 when he is heralded as First Team All-ACC in 2010.
Once again Fox, you have outdone yourself.
Texas garb heads to earthquake victims
Texas sends their Nat'l Champ. gear to help the victims of the crisis in Haiti. Bravo 'Horns.
"I’m not worried about winning a national championship, and I don’t want our players to worry about it, either," Saban said. "I’d appreciate it if you didn’t ask them, although I know you will.
"What I want our players to focus on is playing their best football and to assume that they’re going to play the best football team they’ve ever played and they’re going to be playing against the best player they’ve ever played against, and that’s what they should be working to do and what they should be focused on."
Derrick Thomas' number was retired at Arrowhead today. I just wish we could have pulled out a win in his memory. His jersey was presented to his mother.
How can I get a replay?
Anyone know how I can see a replay of the game? I wasn't able to watch it, sadly. Highlights just aren't enough. I wanted to watch so bad, but, my boss is a Florida fan, and made me work out of pure spite.
So anybody have ideas about how I can see the game?
Roll Tide. Roll Tide. Roll Tide. Roll Tide. Roll Tide. Roll Tide.
I hate 75 word minimum.
Roll Tide.
May Hate Week Commence
Any Alabama fan with a functioning brain and a working conscience saves no rancor for Auburn. Regardless of the date. Iron Bowl week or not. Hell, football season or not. There is no respite from the seething in my soul and the fire in my bones that is bred of my deep hatred for them. But as witnesses to The Process, and out of respect for Coach Saban's One Game Season mentality, we dial down the spite. Even as spectators, we have begun to adopt that same mind: Each week is as crucial as the next, no matter who the competition.
However, now that we have cleared all obstacles standing in the way, may our vigor be renewed. Let the hatred flow through you. Spare no expense. Hold nothing back. It is Iron Bowl week. This is the game that we live for. Even with the SEC championship looming, and on the horizon the possibility of seeing the Tide in the BCS National Championship game, this game speaks more to us, viscerally, than any other.
I cannot imagine that I am alone in feeling that the Iron Bowl more defines a season than a conference or, at the risk of heresy, even a national championship.
That said, we have endured 12 weeks of scary moments, frustration, anger, and pure elation to arrive at this point. Allow yourself to hate. Hate without end. It's Iron Bowl time.

SEC Reprimands Kiffin Over Comments on Officiating
What. An. Ass.
It would give me great joy to see this little boy get suspended for talking about things that he has no idea about. I think we can count on his mouth writing checks his ass can't cash, at least one more time.
Rolando McClain talks about holding off the Gamecocks, Focusing on Tennessee, The BCS standings, and Ingram for Heisman.
Sounds like Saban has these guys in an excellent place mentally. As much as I already liked McClain, I like him more after this interview. The kid is humble, hardworking, and takes nothing for granted.
What have I missed?
We just moved into a new house, and as such have been lacking service of the interwebs variety. Have I missed anything uber significant in the past, say, two months-ish? I'd hate to get half way into the season and one of the CBS fools mention that McElroy retreated to Tibet to become a Buddhist monk, and me have no idea.
75 words. Sweet mother mary. Dear SB nation, some of us practice brevity. Deal with it. I really don't want to make a fan shot, no. Thanks though.
Recruiting worries
With Lance Thompson at Tennessee now, how worried should we be about losing some of the player that he led recruiting efforts for; namely Trent Richardson and A.J. McCarron (D.J, Fluker too maybe? I can't remember). So far I haven't heard anything about A.J. but ESPN On The Trail reports that Trent Richardson was "stunned" by the Thomspson move and planned to remain taking visits all the way up to NSD.
So again, how worried should we be about some Thompson recruits becoming a little shaky?
The Legend speak about, among other things, a designed run play.
"I scored three touchdowns in JR College doing it..."
Oh. My. God.
Gump nailed it. Perfect.

Thank God for no RichRod
Is anyone else looking at Michigan this year and thanking sweet Baby Jesus that Mal Moore spooked Rich Rodriguez? A storied program like Michigan, and this is their worst season. Ever. They have never had a worse season since the first time somebody in Ann Arbor saw that crazy little oblong "ball". I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
75 word minumum can lick my grundle. No I do not want to make this a FanShot.
Rammer Jammer from yesterday's game. A beautiful sound.
This is what a running back in the SEC looks like.
Current Mock BCS standings
ESPN has released the closest approximation to what the BCS picture would look like if the rankings were out right now. BCS is released October 19th. Bama is actually number One in a few of the computer systems (actually in most of the computer systems).
