Just wondering what do people think our chances are for Sano? I think we might get him because the pirates can only pay so much so maybe we can get him. Who wants to bet we get Sano and he turns out to be 24 and that's not his name . Also are we going after any other worldwide prospects, maybe Chapman? They called Chapman the left-handed Strausburg, could you believe it the 2 greates pitching prospects only a few miles away.

On terrapintimes.com they have a story on CJ Leslie. I don't have a subscription but what I could tell from what was given was that he really respects MD's history and remembers Len Bias and loved his game. Maybe this could help us get him because he would realize Gary knows how to handle power forwards. Him JWill, Padgett, possibly Jones and Pilgrim we could have the best big men in the country. It also says there is a new 2011 target, does anyone have an idea who its is, maybe Cj Barksdale, or one of those new targets from the scout and rivals rankings. Lastly does anyone have an update on Shakim Phillips, apparently we've got a pretty good shot at getting him, is he going to visit?

Chalk up another one for Ralph Friedgen. All you people that don't believe in the fridge better get on board because he is still getting good recruits. Today a defensive tackle from St John's in Washington, DC, committed to the Terps. His father wanted him to think it out more because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity but Andre felt it was time. This is what ESPN, who rates hima 77 says:

Monroe is an active defensive tackle in a small package. It is easy to like how Monroe plays the game, but he does lack ideal size. He will need to add some more bulk, but it may be tough to add size on his frame. While you wish the kid was naturally bigger he does grab some attention with his play. He displays good consistent quickness off the ball. He will flash the ability to fire off low and win the leverage battle and be able to control a blocker. He needs to do that more consistently though with his size. He comes off the ball hard, but needs to generate more power from his lower body when taking on blockers. He is active with his hands and is tough to keep blocked. May struggle some to get separation with his reach against bigger blockers at the college level. He is tough versus the double team. He really hustles around and because he can get off the ball well he can get some penetration and be disruptive. It is not unusual to see him down field pursuing to the ball. Displays solid football instincts. He is a solid wrap-up tackler. As a pass rusher he will bull his way straight ahead. He flashes the ability to try and work a quick move like the swim, but usually tries to punch and shed and power his way to the quarterback. You would like to see him expand his pass rush arsenal, but his motor can make him tough to block. Size will present a bit of an obstacle, but Monroe is a good football with a good motor.

Hey everyone calm down there give the terps some time its still early and TJ Clemmings is still out there. Everybody count another one from Friedgen. I saw on insidemdsports.com, that the terps picked up a verbal commitment from Matt Robinson. He is 6'4 WR from Atholton, MD. We were the 1st to give him a BCS offer, but schools like Wake Forest and Conneticut were very interested. Other schools with offers were James Madison, Massachussetts, Fordham and Vermont.

As you probably already know md is holding an elite camp just like most other top programs in the country. It says on http://www.insidemdsports.com/ , that there is an emerging recruit (possibly Justin Coleman). Also it gives a rundown of the 1st day and i was wondering if anyone had a subscription to this website or possibly even rivals. All I couls get was that Terrance Ross was probably the best player on the court.

I read on another website that is was almost a lock for Will Barton to end up at Kentucky. Recently his advisors and friends have madea push for him to stay close to home. Also apparently he had a great meeting with Gary Williams. If we could get this guy we would be competing for NCAA championships with him ross, stoglin and possibly others.

Here's the link to the story for who wants it.
