Anyone going to the Titans game?

Just thought I'd inquire if anyone is going to the Titans game and want to do some pre-game tailgating or hanging out before the game.

Shoot me an e-mail if interested.

Blogging The Boys Cowboys Playoff scenarios

I saw this chart on possible playoff seeding scenarios in the NFC on ESPN.com and thought it was interesting that out of 8 scenarios our chances of playing the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs is 2 out of 8.  Thats good news.

Blogging The Boys Cowboys Top 50 BTB version

As many of you already know DC.com is posting the 50 greatest players in franchise history and a few weeks ago BTB regular TCBinNYC posted a fanpost in which he attempted to generate interest in having the BTB community give their input where anyone interested could send TCBinNYC a list of their 50 greatest Cowboys and he would input those into a spreadsheet and tabulate the results.  TBCinNYC's e-mail address is tye_basham@yahoo.com so feel free to pick your top 50 and send it to him.

To generate interest and maybe some debate below is my top 50 Cowboys of all time. I personally based my selections on the players career and impact on the franchise. not necessarily who I thought was more talented, but of course anyone is free to base their top 50 on any type of criteria they want.  So here is my list.

Blogging The Boys Questions for Crayton and Bennett

As most of you know, I'm going to the game this Sunday, right into the belly of the beast known as Heinz Field, however, I also am going to the dallascowboys.com radio road show Saturday night where the guest Cowboys appearing on the show will be Patrick Crayton and Martellus Bennett.

If I'm lucky enough to ask a question to one of the guys, what kind of question do you guys want me to ask either one. I'm looking for good, insightful questions. Fire away.

JESSICA SIMPSON has hit out at fans of American football team the Dallas Cowboys, for dubbing her a bad luck charm.
Devotees of the Texas team turned on Simpson after her quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo under performed during games when she was watching in the stands.

But Simpson insists she had nothing to do with the team's bad performances, telling Glamour magazine, "I don't know - other than me wearing my man's jersey and cheering him on. And him not playing the way he would've hoped and all of a sudden I'm to blame.
"That was ludicrous. I don't understand why they think that I would be a distraction to Tony. Do they really think he can see way far up in that box? No. He's the most focused person I've ever dated."

"(Jessica would) love nothing more than to get married before Ashlee," a source revealed to Star. "It upsets her that her little sister will be married and she won’t. She gets jealous when Ash gets more attention."

That’s where Jessica’s six-month romance with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo comes in. "She’s been showing him rings in magazines," the insider said. "She tells him what she likes, and she does it right in front of his friends, too, so it’s really awkward."

Awkward or not, Jess plans to keep up the pressure. "She been joking to friends that she should take Tony to Vegas, get him drunk and drag him to the Little White Wedding Chapel."

All joking aside, the Star source claimed that if Tony doesn’t pop the question soon, Jess may just make the proposal herself. "She knows he can’t say no to her."

"Terence is a guy we want here. Period," Jones said of their 2003 first-rounder and a Pro Bowler in 2007.

The Cowboys would like to kick up talks with Newman's agent in the future. Jones did not sound the least but concerned about Newman turning 30 in September.

"I think Terence Newman is playing for as long as we want to sign him for," Jones said. "He takes great care of himself. He's a first-class guy. He's everything you want in a football player."

Blogging The Boys Jerry doesn't think Pacman will be reinstated

Jerry Jones was interviewed today and said he is not confident Pacman will be reinstated by Goodell. Well, if he really feels that way, why is he he trying to trade for him??

To me, that doesn't make any sense at all. There are no other teams even remotely interested in this thug, and for good reason, so why even bother. Pacman has made it clear he wants to play for the Cowboys, so just wait to see if and when he's reinstated to make any kind of trade. Until then, forget about him and just prepare for the draft.

Blogging The Boys DRC could slide down to us due to having one kidney

The L.A. Times is reporting that DRC has only one kidney and that fact might cause some teams to pass on him in the first round. Apparently, one of his kidneys needed to be removed when he was 8 years old because it wasn't functioning.

This just may cause some teams looking for a CB to take Jenkins and Talib over DRC and have him slide down to us. Never know, its possible.

Blogging The Boys Cowboys draft board nearing completion

I saw this post over at the Boys Blog stating that a team source indicated that the Cowboys scouting department have given 21 players a first round grade for next months draft. That means unless all the teams that draft ahead of the Cowboys have the same 21 players on their boards, which is highly unlikely, the Cowboys are assured of getting a player which they grade as a first rounder.

A source told me this morning that the Cowboys have 21 players on their board with first round grades.

The team picks 22nd.

That’s no reason to panic. As I’ve said time and again, every team has a different board. What are the odds that the 21 players Dallas has rated as blue chippers will go exactly in slots 1 through 21? They have to be very high. If just one team ahead of Dallas takes a player the team has as a high second the Cowboys will have first round value waiting for them when they pick.

And if seven such players go that high, the Cowboys could find first round talent at both of their first round spots.

Any guesses on the identity of the Talented 21?

Blogging The Boys Zach Thomas signs with Cowboys

Thomas and the Cowboys agreed to a 1 year, 3 million dollar contract today. 3 million is absolutely insane for a 35 year old undersized LB who has a history of concussions.

I really hate this signing a lot.

Blogging The Boys Tis the mock season

As everyone knows that from now until April 25, we will be inidated with mock drafts from about thousand publications. It seems as though everyone and their brother are publishing mock drafts. Now I understand that these things will change about a million times in the next 3 months, especially after the combine and pro days, but since the Senior Bowl is being played this Saturday, I thought I'd post the Cowboys selections from 3 mock drafts by highly regarded draft gurus, Todd McShay from Scouts, Inc , Mel Kiper and Scott Wright of nfldraftcountdown.com .

Blogging The Boys Romo love triangle

The tabloids are reporting that Jessica Simpson found out that Romo is still chummy with Carrie Underwood and she forbid Tony from having anymore contact with her at all. A part of me wishes Romo dumps Simpson and goes back with Underwood because at least their relationship was less public and they didn't show her on FOX's broadcasts during games she attended. Tim MacMahon form DMN Blog seems to agree.

Blogging The Boys great news regarding T.O.

DMN Blog is reporting that T.O.'s ankle sprain is healing very fast. That obviously has to be sweet music to Cowboys fans ears.

T.O. skipped his Wednesday chat with the media for the second consecutive week, but word is his ankle is healing as quickly as the Cowboys hoped.

He put his left shoe on today for the first time since suffering the high ankle sprain in the first half of the Dec. 22 win at Carolina.

"I thought he was ready to go today the way he was talking," Sam Hurd said. "He was excited."

T.O. must be living in his hypobaric chamber as I hoped he would. Keep it up T.O., we need you bad for the SB run starting in 10 days.

Blogging The Boys Romo and Phillips are confident going into the playoffs

Unlike a majority of their fans, the actual Cowboys are very confident going into the playoffs as well they should be. Romo said the they really didn't gameplan for the Skins because they might see them again in the playoffs. Smart move. I'm extremely confident they will play well in 2 weeks, especially Romo, he won't let us down.
