www.fightline.com Cousins Karo Parisyan and Manny Gamburyan have confirmed that they will return to the octagon on the same card - UFC 87: Seek And Destroy.  "I will be fighting August 9 in Minnesota," Parisyan told 15rounds. "There are a couple of names being thrown around, but there’s no opponent yet." Parisyan dropped his last fight against Thiago Alves in what many, including Parisyan himself, felt was a controversial referee stoppage at UFN 13 in Denver, Co. Parisyan's cousin Manny Gamburyan had no such trouble in his fight against Jeff Cox. Gamburyan quickly caught Cox in a guillotine choke, submitting him in under two minutes of the first round. Gamburyan can now look forward to a TUF 5 reunion with Rob Emerson. "I am back in the Octagon in August against Rob Emerson," said Gamburyan.

www.fiveouncesofpain.com EliteXC officials announced at their press conference today that there will not be a CBS show on July 26 as was previously speculated. The next CBS show could be late summer or early fall. EliteXC and CBS need to work out the venue for the next show as well as CBS’ primetime schedule but they could possibly announce the date for the second EliteXC show on CBS at Saturday’s event. Gary Shaw also estimated that "roughly" 7,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday’s EliteXC: Primetime event on CBS. He also said that he believes 96% of CBS affiliates will be showing the card.

It’s really hard to say, but the president, the way he treats me, I can’t continue on with them. He’s a monster and I’m going to go elsewhere where they respect me…. No, I’m not going back to the UFC, I don’t want to. I can sleep now and not worry about what’s going to be said about me. I don’t have to worry about what I have to say to make sure I say the right thing. I’m sick of kissing ass and I’m not doing it anymore."-Tito Ortiz

www.5thround.com Brazilian magazine Tatame spoke to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua about his former teammate’s victory at UFC 84 this past Saturday. Rua said that, "Wanderlei showed who he really is," and that it didn’t surprise him at all that Silva dominated Jardine the way that he did. Another former PRIDE fighter was actually the topic of discussion though because after his win at UFC 84, Thierry Sokoudjou issued a challenged to "Shogun." After Sokoudjou’s victory over Kazuhiro Nakamura, Sokoudjou had this to say, "just one thing, Shogun. Thank you." Rua didn’t actually watch the event or hear what Sokoudjou had said, but his friends did tell him about it and here’s what Rua had to say. "I fight anyone. I don’t choose my opponents. It would be a hard fight. He is very good at Muay Thai and Judo, but I would fight at his mistakes, as at Jiu-Jitsu." "Shogun" was originally scheduled to come back against Chuck Liddell at UFC 85: Bedlam, but was forced to pull out because he had re-injured his surgically repaired knee in training. He hopes to come back sometime in September.
