Javy and Frenchy being watched.

What a great game tonight, or should I say just great pitching. Braves still left a lot on base but a win is a win for me. I am pissed though at how many cubs fans were there instead of Braves. We were out numbered 3:1 it seemed. Come out and support the Braves this home stand if your in the area support is needed because Yankee fans and Boston fans travel just as much as The Cubs fans, and we need this Home stand.

Well to the point of my post. I was very privileged  to have great seats tonight and sat right behind four scouts. Me being the nosey fan I am I was looking at their notes. 1 scout was from San Fransico. He was writing tons of notes about our RF, and I started thinking what in the world do the Giants want to do with Frenchy. I now they need a power bat but Frenchy isnt that. Then the scout next to him was from the Astros ( hmmm very interesting) is what I thought to myself. For he was scouting our starting pitcher. In his notes the scout wrote things like nasty curve, and wrote clutch after getting out of some tough situations. The Astros were rumored to be in on Peavy though not serious, but if they could take on Peavy's contract Im sure they could take on JV's.  I know scouts are always scouting players and it usually means nothing because some are advanced scouts to go back and discuss opponents with their teams. But it was awesome to sit behind scouts and read their notes. Also, A Marlins scout was in the house and like the Giants scout he was only writing notes about Frenchy. Frenchy went 2-4 tonight and had a good game. Well come out to the Ted this week I will be in the Parking lot drinking my ass off just incase we get our asses drug I will be numb. And if you get the chance to talk to some scouts tap in to them its very interesting to see how they look at the game instead of a fans perspective!! Go braves.

ESPN WTF!!!

I really don't get the espn guys. Not one of them picked our effin Fantastic Braves team to win the NL east nor did the MLB network. Yeah I know the Phills won the world series last year, and they basically have the same line up and rotation they had a year ago. But what do the Phills have after Hamles, and what do the Mets have after Johan. Do they really believe that Puttz and K Rod are the missing pieces to end the Mets failure to keep it together down the strecth, no, how will they if they dont have the opportunity. I am not saying the Mets rotation sucks nor am I saying the Phills rotation sucks, but their rotations do not have the depth that the Braves have and are an injury away from experiencing what the Braves went through last year. I do believe the Braves need improvement on one thing though and that is our lefty dominated line up. It seemed like every batter was left handed tonight. What are the espn guys smoking though not even including us in the division or wild card!!! Petter Gammons said he guess that the Muts will win because of their Bullpen. When has a bullpen ever won a damn pennant. The Braves will win the east end of story because

If Glavine goes down

Glavine-Jo Jo reyes starts

If K.K fails

 Hanson starts

J.J. gets a dead arm and feels a little fatigue and needs a break

Campillo starts

The depth we have is stupendous so to ESPN the Braves will be the NL east champs and retake our banner.

Why did we sign Glavine again?????

This is a question I am sure all of my fellow Braves fans are asking at this point after watching a few of our young pitchers go out there and impress even more then they already have. First, Jo Jo is dominating and I am willing to bet he is ten times better then Glavine right now. Hanson is WOW I mean really that is all you can say about that kid. He is a gem, and he could come to the majors and turn some heads right now. I am upset that we gave Glavine money when our starting rotation did not need him. We needed that LOOGY, and I could care less if some of you want to see Glavine retire as a Brave thats what we got Chipper for. Did you guys see Javy Vazquez in the WBC dammit we got a good rotation!!!

Manny is a......

First I would like to send my congrats to the young crop of Braves players we have. Watching the game today made me realize that you win and win for a long time drafting and developing your players. I must say the braves are doing a hell of a job. We have at least 8 players in the top 100 prospect list that either came from our organization( Neftali Feliz, Tyler Flowers) or that is in it know. We will win and always win because the Braves do a hella of a job scouting young players. I am happy we never go after big ticket free agents MANNY holly s*** he just turned down the 2 year 45 million dollar offer again from the dodgers, and they are the only team offering him money. So in conclusion this brings me to the point of this whole post. What would you do with

45 effin million DOLLARS.

Griffey Main Target!!!

According to Jerry Crasnick at ESPN the Braves are targeting FA Ken Griffey Jr. Personally I like this move for pr but does Griffey still have it. Honeslty the Braves have a slim choice of bats left. I doubt that we have enough for Griffey after we sign Glavine and arb for Frenchy. So the question is would this be a good signing for the Braves or a bad one. GO Braves!!!! GO Braves!!!!!! Go braves

We don't need Glavine!!!

We don't need Glavine period end of story. Wren is going to sign him to a 3 million dollar incitive based deal and he is just not worth that much money when the Braves need a power bat as badly as they need. I applaud Wren for signing three good pitchers this offseason, but it needs to stop there. I really and honestly don't see the purpose of this unless Wren is going to trade away some of the young talented arms we have for an outfielder. At the end of the day we just don't need him. Jorge pitched some great games last year and I would bet anybody that he is a way better pitcher then A 43 year old Glavine coming off of arm surgery. The same as with Jo jo, Hanson, or Reyes. Come on Wren!!!

Andruw Andruw

Andruw is on his way out of L.A. What will it take for him to get back to that monster year he had just so few years ago. I mean he went from 51 homers 128 runs batted in and signing a huge contract to just falling of the face of the baseball earth. He has lost it and I cant but help fell for the guy. He hasnt been the same since he injured his elbow on that awesome catch he made over the wall. My question is was that the only reason his offense sucked so bad because the truth is he never listened his hitting coach. Where will he end up or is this the end for him.                                                                              http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/01/dodgers-working.html

Braves will get Peavy.

Mlbtraderumors.com is reporting that the Kahlil Greene trade to the cardinals is finalized. The Padres exec. and Kevin Towers main focus now is to acquire a replacement SS, and it will most likely happen via trade. Who has the upper hand now. i have always admired the Braves Patience and diligence. They didn't jump and trade away the farm system, but instead they waited for the padres to basically twist themselves into a bind. We can almost do a straight trade Escobar for Peavy naw j/k life is not that sweet but the package will be way less then what it was a month ago.

How ya feel
