Let's go on record! If it was up to you, who would the Bills draft in the 1st rd?
For quite a while, I have done a better job picking players for the Bills 1st rd draft pick than the actual Bills. It's always fun to have a thread like this to go on record of who each of us would pick. Two years ago I picked Bryan Bulaga only to be disappointed by the Spiller pick. Last year I went with a double pick. My real pick which was Jake Locker, but I knew the Bills would never take him, my exact words were that the Bills front office was not sophisticated enough to realize his unique talents or how valuable he could be, and I also had a realistic pick, which was Dareus, and was pleasantly surprised when the Bills picked him, because it was the first time in a long time the Bills actually picked a player I wanted.
So now we are here at draft day.
So just say who you want the Bills to pick if you were GM, and if you think there is no chance the Bills would draft that player at #10, make your real pick, then you're realistic pick like I did last year. I'll start this thread off.
At #10 My pick this year is Michael Floyd, I consider him a very similar player to Eric Moulds, up until yesterday I thought there was zero chance of the Bills taking him, but I was persuaded by the Rob Rang story there might be a glimmer of hope.
My realistic pick is Luke Kuechly. I could definately see the Bills picking this guy. The coverage skills would certainly help against the Gronks of this world. I think I would rather have a guy like Kuechly than a strong safety like Barron, because I think Kuechly would make a greater impact overall on the defense, especially after taking Searcy last year.
Now it's your turn to go on the record Bills Nation.
Who is your pick for this year at #10?
Please Peyton, sign with the Titans today!
If Peyton signed with the Titans as the owner would like, all of a sudden my favorite QB prospect could become expendable in Jake Locker. Just as I am sure there are some Rumblers hoping Peyton signs with the Broncos so Tebow would become expendable. But I really believe in Jake and would take him in a minute over Tebow. So I am hoping Bud Adams makes Manning an offer he can't refuse today. My question for you is if Peyton signed with the Broncos and Tebow entered the trade market or Peyton signed with the Titans and Locker entered the trade market, who would you rather trade for as our QB of the future to groom?
ESPN, Entirely Sucky Pretend Network.
I headed to Scouts Inc.: Offseason AFC needs at ESPN. It's hidden behind the insider wall, but still has the Bills 3 biggest needs without being a sucker that pays for insider access.
Imagine my surprise (Actually more like disgust they want you to pay for this crap) when I see this tidbit.
"3. Offensive tackle: Erik Pears was solid as the right tackle and could have been considered the anchor of this improving unit, but Demetrius Bell split time at left tackle and is a free agent. He has fought a lot of injuries and does not dominate even when he is healthy. The Bills can go after the best tackle available, and they have the option of moving Pears to left tackle, but they do like young Chris Houston."
When did a CB on the Detroit roster start playing OT?
Good ol Entirely Sucky Pretend Network ESPN. They never cease to amaze me with their incompetence.
Who should be the next Super Bowl halftime show.
I will tell you, I have seen a lot of concerts, many hundreds including over a hundred on the Grateful Dead alone. The Super Bowl halftime show needs a huge name, we have seen some good ones like the Rolling Stones, Springsteen and Tom Petty.
Some not so good ones like The Who are clearly over the hill. Then those meh ones like Madonna and the Black Eyed Peas.
I think for next year, it is time to return to a true legend of Rock and Roll, who is not over the hill like the Who was when they played the super bowl.
My choice is Eric Clapton.
He is one of the true legends of rock and roll and still plays and sings like a legend today.
If you have never seen him in concert, you don't know what you are missing. After the 80s on experiment with the Black Eyed Peas and Madonna. I am ready for a true legend of rock and roll next year, and my choice is Eric Clapton.
My question to you is would you like to see him play the super bowl halftime show next year? If your answer is no, who would you rather see?

Video: Gisele Bundchen blasts Pats WRs
Awww shucks :) This is some funny stuff.
Time for MSG and Time Warner to pay!!!! My new campaign!
For those of us caught in between the Time Warner MSG war and unable to watch the Rangers or other teams MSG covers.
I am mad as H-E-Double hockey sticks and not gonna take it anymore!
I really don't care who's in the right, but it is time to make them both pay.
My campaign is simple, If you own stock in either of their companies......SELL IT!!!!
It's not just enough to switch to DirectTV or Fios.
Many of the 2.3 million caught in this battle have neither option which makes MSG suck.
MSG also pulled this with Dish Network.
Time Warner is too cheap to come to terms with NFL Network, so I feel pretty confident MSG is gone for good too on Time Warner.
The way to make them pay is make February 14th National FU MSG and Time Warner day if they can't resolve this by then.
The way this works is simple, if enough of us who own MSG or Time Warner stock who are sick of this crap sell their stock on February 14th, it will drive down the stock price due to the volume.
This will in turn trigger computer selling of both stocks by Hedge funds, Pension managers and Investment banks, further driving down the price. People will begin shorting both stocks once this occurs, driving the price even further down, forcing both MSG AND Time Warner to have to use assets to cover any loans from drop in stock backed price.
The reason I have chosen February 14th, is we can show them the same kind of love they have shown us.
If we can get enough affected people on board we can make them pay for the missed games.
Even if you are not affected by the MSG TWC standoff, you might want to climb onboard if you own Time Warner or MSG stock or risk facing a huge loss in value of your stocks in these two rotten greedy companies February 14th.
Tell everyone if you've had enough, post to facebook, twitter about this, make a website, make this go viral if you are sick of it, send it to everyone in your email list, or make a comment link to this post in any story you can comment on that is related to this standoff or any teams affected by it.
Thank you for your time to read this and participation in this event should you choose to.

How Much Longer???
I have had enough, it's time for Darcy to go. Though I feel others won't feel the same (Ogre39666 and and . lassathrax) So I ask others? When is it time for a new GM? A year ,or 5 years with no playoffs? 2 years, 5 years? When would YOU PULL the trigger? Darcy has had some good years here and there, but the team is broken, changes need to be made. i've had enough of this GM, so tell me when is it time to make a change at GM?
Sabres are overdue for change at GM
The theme is catching on......High Time for some heads to roll.
No more excuses, 15 years is enough.
Chip Kelly
I pretty much have lost all faith in Chan Gailey as a HC that will lead us to the promised land. The biggest reason is when we kept losing game after game, was his press conferences where he said he had no answers to why it was happening. What kind of answer is that from the person who leads your team?
Chan deserves one more year, but if he can't get above the 7-9 Jauron line after 3 seasons, I think it will be time for him to go.
If that happens, there is one coach I would like to see him replaced with if Chan can't get the job done, and that is Chip Kelly.
For the purpose of full disclosure, I am a Ducks fan so my opinion is biased and I have been to Autzen many times when I lived in the west coast back in the 90s. But now that Dungy is throwing around the Chipster as the next great HC to make the move from the college ranks to the pros, I think it is time to talk about him as the Bills next HC if Chan can't get the job done better than even Jauron. I mean look how quick Harbaugh turned around Stanford and the niners and the Chipster beat Harbaugh more than not despite the fact Stanford had a QB in Luck who is supposed to be the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning :)
He's younger, he's smart, he thinks outside the box. He may have been beaten by Andrew Luck the first time, but he made him look pedestrian in the next two meetings. That tells me he learns from his mistakes real quick.
CJ could be his LaMichael James if we had him as our HC.
What I really want to know, is would my fellow Bills fans be on board with hiring Chip Kelly like me, if Chan can't get the job done next year?
To add, I like to call Chip "The Visor" because he wears a visor so often, wouldn't it be great to see the Visor take out the hoodie twice a year, year after year :)
I'm all in, Chip Kelly for HC if Chan can't get it done next year!
I only wish for one thing this weekend.
Please GOD, let Tim Tebow beat the New England Patriots this weekend. They have won so much but are run by a bunch of demons like Bellicheat. Please God, even if Tebow can't win the big one this year, let him defeat the Patsies like he did the Stealers, we have suffered at their hands so many times and to see Tebow win would make my wekend very good. It will give me new faith that those who are good can always come up on the right side, if you do things the right way as long as Tebow sends Brady to defeat.

They aren't who we thought they were.
I can't believe I could be fooled into thinking this team could make the playoffs.
I could let the Jets game go, I knew we didn't match up well. but to get whipped by a Cowboys team that doesn't have a deep physical secondary, just brutal.
My new nickname for Fitz......The 60 million dollar mistake......how could he have fooled Buddy and Chan into thinking he was a franchise QB, he obviously isn't and will prevent us from drafting one making us go another 3-4 years without sniffing the playoffs.
I am so disgusted by today's performance, I really can't put into words how upset I am.
FIRE GEORGE EDWARDS!
CHAN GAILEY IS NOT AN OFFENSIVE GENIUS.
THIS TEAM IS NOT A PLAYOFF CONTENDER.
WHAT A CRAPPY DAY.
I just had to vent, I've seen how this story ends.
WHAT A WASTE OF A SUNDAY.
EVERY BILL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HOW THEY HAVE PERFORMED THE LAST TWO WEEKS.........I hope they can somehow remember how to play good football again, because they have a major case of good football amnesia.

Marcell Dareus lifts car
This is a must see!
What a BEAST!
Thank You Bills!
This is just a message, that I think most will agree with. I just want to thank all the Bills players for making Sunday fun again. I don't care if you give up 400 yards a game, just as long as you win. I don't care if you score 30 points or 3, just as long as you win! I don't care how you win, just keep winning. Buffalo is so much more fun to live in when the Bills and Sabres win.
With the Bills at 4-1 and the Sabres 2-0 the vibe around the city is so much better. People are nicer, you see more smiles. I didn't think you had it in you to get off to a 4-1 start, but I am really hoping you can sustain it. But
I just wanted to say thank you. The ride has been fun so far, and I really hope it will get even better as the season progresses.
So thank you, and keep on Winning for your city and fans!

Brady cries during 'Pretty in Pink' and other revelations
UGH.......
Please Bills win this one.
I think I will have trouble respecting this defense if they get carved up by the guy with the Bieber haircut, who cries during pretty in pink.
PLEASE Marcell, give him a few love taps like you did to Colt McCoy,
Does the defense really want the embarassment of being carved up by this gurly man? Show him who the tough guys are!
Keep in mind the smug smirk he gave when he said you guys are a complete team, he is dissing you just like he is Eli, man up and sock him hard and let him know it ends here, the smugness and disrespect by him will be tolerated no longer.
Fantasy football players wanted.
I have a league called Bills Fans United ON NFL.COM. We lost 2 teams, so we need 2 more, so his is an an open invitation to join our league, all I ask is you are not a quitter and play the full season no matter how you are doing. We had an incredible level of competition last year and would like to keep that going.
Draft is at 9:30pm tomorrow night, so if you can't be there, pass this league for someone who can. We need two replacements for the two loser/quitters from last year, so If you have game, come play with us.
Aaron Maybin clears waivers
No one wants Maybust, I don't even think the CFL would want him he's so bad at playing football......bye bye Maybust.....we won't miss you.
Reality Check : Donte Whitner Edition.
Now that the free agent signings have begun, I find it very interesting that Donte Whitner has not been signed yet. I find it even more interesting that Trent Edwards has a new home, but Donte is still a man without a team.
Why is this?
It is what I like to call the reality check factor.
Trent Edwards had a paycheck in mind based on reality, so he is signed and set to receive a paycheck.
Donte Whitner on the other hand, had a paycheck he wanted not based in reality, thus there is no team beating down his door to sign him. Show of hands, who really thought Trent would receive a contract before Donte?
Now don't get me wrong here, Donte is a decent SS, he is no Polamalu, but he is still serviceable as an NFL SS.
What he needs to realize, he had it real good over the life of his rookie contract, he was overpaid until last year where he finally started to live up to his rookie contract, 1 out of 4 years.
For him to think he deserves top 5 safety money is a pipe dream if he thinks that is what he is worth. At his age, a similar contract to his rookie contract is the best he can hope for, to show he can improve still and then really cash in if he does at the end of the next contract.
If he continues to insist on a big raise over his last contract, he might find no takers. It might be wise for Donte to swallow his pride, shut off his twitter, and take what the Bills offered before those last two roster spots are filled. The Bills drafted him, stuck with him while he was overpaid, and probably gave him a more than fair offer to re-sign him. Hopefully he will smarten up and realize, it's time for a reality check.
Ralph Wilson should sell the Bills, before he dies.
As a Bills fan, who worries about the future of the Bills, it seems unwise for Wilson to wait to sell the team to the highest bidder once he passes.
By negotiating a deal now, he could get his ducks in a row, get a better deal for his family inheritance, and still have a say in the Bills, until he passes.
With Pegula buying the Sabres, he has stated he would be open to buying the Bills to keep them in Buffalo, since the Sabres and Bills are in the same market, this is allowed under NFL ownership rules.
Benefits for the Wilson family.
Better tax rate for the sale, If Wilson sold the Bills now, he would be taxed at a lower rate then the estate tax if sold after his passing.
He could put in the deal the stadium will always be named Ralph Wilson Stadium for his legacy of starting this business.
He could also negotiate he could run the team until he dies, because it is his passion. He could go for a 51% ownership, 49% for Pegula until he dies with higher taxes on the 51%, or 100% ownership for Pegula with a lower tax rate on 100% of the sale price, since he has run the team in a way where it has remained profitable, despite being a small market team, a buyer like Pegula would be smart enough to accept an agreement like that while he concentrates for now on getting the Sabres a stanley cup, and then could turn his management experience to the Bills once Wilson passed and the Sabres organization was shored up.
Benefits for Pegula
A chance to own crown jewel. One of 32 NFL franchises, the most popular sport in the USA, and rebuild it into a powerhouse. He would instantly be one of the top 5 NFL owners in net worth depending on which report you go by he is worth.
A huge inflation hedge. With QE1, 2, and now 3, inflation is rearing it's ugly head. It is a good time to be in assets rather than depreciating cash. With the NFL being the most popular sport, he would see bigger gains from the franchise, rather than leaving the cash in a bank at 1% interest or less.
This seems like a match made in heaven for Bills fans and all parties that would be involved, let's hope Mr Wilson is smart enough to realize it might be smarter to sell the Bills now, rather than his family doing it after he has passed. The is the way to make a plan that works best.

The Doctor is in the house, and the prescription is pain.
We have a winning nickname for our new draft pick coined by ATF, since Marcel Dareus's initials are MD, his nickname is the Doctor. Congrats ATF, that is a great nickname and you deserve credit for coming up with it.
UZ followed it up with the prescription is pain......another great line to add to add to the doctor.
It reminds me of the glory days, with the machine gun Kelly poster, and the Thurminator.
Marcell Dareus is the doctor, and the prescription is PAIN!
Nice job ATF and UZ......we have a winner for the nickname of our new 1st round draft pick!
Hopefully Dareus will be a building block in returning to a new set of glory years, it sure feels to me like that is what happened tonight!
GO BILLS!
Gruden QB Camp : Jake Locker
The experience in a pro style offense shows on the chalkboard vs Newton.
2010 NFL Draft Chronicles - Fan Satisfaction, Year One
As we continue to move towards the NFL draft and the camps of Buffalo Rumblings start to form around their favorite first round draft pick, I thought it might be insightful to look back at how the different camps of prospective Bills 2010 draft picks fared with the fans opinion ,of the team that actually picked them
From 2010, there was 2 major camps of the Buffalo Rumblings Fanbase, the Franchise QB Camp who were pining for Clausen or Tebow, and the Franchise OT who the majority were pining for Bryan Bulaga, including myself. There were also other camps, the Dan Williams NT camp and of course the pick we took in Spiller, who I like to call the in Chix we trust camp. There was much chatter the week before the draft we would take Spiller and it turned out to be true.
I ignored any of the players who were wanted who were taken before we picked. I also have ignored some of the smaller camps who were taken after we picked such as Jerry Hughes, who even Bill Polian seems to regret picking and Anthony Davis who's camp shrunk by a country mile when he didn't show up for his pro day.
To grade fan satisfaction, I gave each player 4 choices of how the fanbase felt about drafting said player after year one. Great, Good, Mediocre, and Poor. For the sake of rating each prospect who was a potential Bills target, Great gets 4 points, Good 3, mediocre 2, Poor 1. Which will be added up, then divided by the number of voters for the final score. Without further ado, here are the results of my fan research for the Draft Chronicles 2010,

Cam Newton Fans, Take The Cam Newton Challenge.
With no free agency, I think we are all getting sick of talking about the draft and who we should take yadda, yadda, yadda.
But their is a major misconception of Cam Newton that Cam fans take as truth when it is simply not true.
That misconception is Cam can extend passing plays with his feet until he can make a pass outside the pocket like Rothlisberger,
So Cam Fans, I offer you the chance to take the Cam challenge and prove me wrong. Can Cam extend passing plays outside the pocket and make a completion?
The way this works is simple, just show me the links to 5 videos on youtube or any other video hosting site with the timestamps of the plays you find, of Cam Newton escaping the tackle box and making a good pass on the move outside the tackle box for a positive gain.
I will warn you in advance, I have watched much Newton video and could only find 2.
Hopefully this will dispel the misconceptions that Cam is like Rothlisberger, he is really much more like a bigger Randall Cunningham, a runner first outside the pocket and not much of a passer outside of it.
Show me I am wrong Cam fans,
I can show you video of multiple games where Locker escapes pressure and makes at least 5 solid throws outside the pocket for decent to really big gains.
Why can't Cam excel passing outside the tackle box?
All I am asking for is 5 plays from his year with Auburn to prove me wrong that he can make plays outside the pocket with his arm.
So take the challenge and prove me wrong if you can.
Cam Newton scouting report
Could Joe P. be Nolan Nawrocki?
How do you feel about Dan Williams as a first round pick?
Greetings Card fans,
I am a Bills fan who has been making the rounds of SB Nation to see how the fans of certain players their team drafted feel about them because they were also wanted by the Bills fanbase. With our switch to the 3-4 many Bills fans wanted us to draft Dan Williams to play NT in the 1st round. You have had a season to see how it worked out for you, tell me how you feel about the draft pick after one year.
Is the SB Nation newletter infringing on your visits a good idea?
This week we saw the implementation of SB nation newsletters, which is a nice thing for those who don't have to sort through reams of email in their box.
But visiting here while getting that huge flash ad, is a major traffic killer.
I hardly ever visit bleacher report due to their stupid sign me up for a newsletter in my emailbox, I have to navigate through, whenever I make the mistake of reading an article there.
Does SB Nation want to make the same mistake?
I could live with a non invasive ad for this sort of thing on the right column, but blocking what I am trying to read on an article, no thanks.
I hope SB Nation realizes the error of it's way and get's rid of this invasive newsletter crap asap.
It just may be the lockout isn't the cause of traffic and posting drops since it was implemented.
Because I know, I decided I wanted to go surf the web somewhere else once I saw that newsletter crap. Why bother logging in and posting.
I truly hope SB Nation realizes the error of it's way and finds a less invasive way to get people to sign up for their newsletter because I never will.
