Vancouver's Blame Game sounds like more of the same
I must admit that I am getting a bit fatigued from hearing about the riots after the Nucks lost to Boston, but I also can't help but continue to wonder how long Vancouver will continue to look for anything to deflect blame from their "fans".
Winnipeg poaching Chicago front office?
Any repercussions should Chevy actually accept this position? Discuss.
Have ten-key, will travel
Okay, okay...so I know this isn't the traditional way of doing this - but since when has anything at SCH been traditional? Sometimes you gotta think outside the box. So....
Thought I'd put up a little notice here. After four years of turning a somewhat dysfunctional, poor-performing and antiquated accounting system into the cost-effective, efficiently operating, well-oiled accounting system that exists today, the powers that be at my place of employment have decided to relocate our offices from Chicago to Washington DC - and thus, turn over all my hard work to a complete stranger. Disappointed? Yes. Bitter? Maybe a little. But I'm ready to move on to tackle another challenge. That said...
If you know of anybody who is looking to fill a CFO/Controller/Accounting Manger type position, I'd appreciate it if you could steer them my way. I have 17+ years experience in both public and private accounting in a wide variety of businesses. Currently I'm a Controller of a $3 million professional association, and previously as an accounting manager in a $90 million PR support services company.
My last day here is likely going to occur in February, but if the right opportunity is out there, I'd be more than happy to leave sooner. If you'd like to see my resume I can forward it on by request.
Finally, if there is some sort of SBNation rule about soliciting on this site, well, sorry about that. A lot of you are like virtual family here. Any help is appreciated.
If you've ever been in a beer league, you may appreciate this.
And if you haven't, well, you'll still probably think it's funny.
Puck Daddy says Hawks may get penalized.
The piece is about Jersey's latest attempt to figure out what makes for a CBA violation in regards to the Kovalchuk contract debacle. What I found sort of "sour grapes" was his last line...
Toews Raves at EA Sports NHL '11 in Toronto
In an interview with THN, Hawks captain Jonathan Toews comments about the last few weeks since winning the Cup, what he plan on doing during his day with the big prize, Kris Versteeg's blossoming career in music, and Patrick Kane's mullet.
Dale Tallon wins 2010 US Senior Open Qualifier
Looks like Dale has still managed to keep his golf game together despite the crazy past few months.
Congrats Dale - good luck on the next qualifier.
Burish Calls Out Pronger
While we all might agree with it, not sure I would have said it. I've always like Bur's candor, but...wow. What do you think?
Looks like the Blackhawks are already getting into the Canucks' heads...
...not getting ahead of ourselves here - but after reading this link from The Province, I had to wonder if the Hawks already have a psychological edge over Vancouver - assuming, of course, the Hawks advance (I just don't want to piss off the Hockey gods here). I especially enjoyed the references to the "questionable" plays by certain individuals who wore the the Indian Head last year.
Hmm, oh well, hopefully we can give Vancouver what they want, and soon.
