Well, there goes another back-up option. Best of luck to Sullivan.
Not only will be extremely tough to get single game tickets, it seems to be nearly impossible to get a game you would want. Some of the basics are: - A random draw on the 3rd Saturday of every month for the following months games. - Draw winners get the right to purchase 2 tickets in that month - Once your name is drawn, it is NOT re-entered into further draws. And they have 3 different price divisions based on the quality of opponant.
This has not been an easy summer for the world of hockey. Yet another tragedy.
A nice little article about Despres
The Dallas Stars signed right winger Eric Godard to a two-year contract Tuesday.
"Max Talbot's rights have not been traded to TOR or anywhere else. Talbot's rep has had permission since Sunday to talk to other teams." -Bob McKenzie
Who knows if it's true, but it's interesting to think about , as we have been doing on several other threads.
With Philly's single point this afternoon vs the NYR, it might be tough for us to capture the Atlantic Division title, and possibly the East crown. At the moment, the Flyers have 43 regulation/overtime wins, while we have 37. Since both teams have 3 games remaining, even if we run the table we can't win the tiebreaker. Even if we could, they have a better record head-to-head with us this season. Therefore, we simply need to get more points than they do on the season. The scenarios: If we get... 6 points - we'd have 106 points. They Flyers could win just one game in order for us to beat them. 4 or 5 points - we'd have 104 or 105 points. This means the Flyers cannot win any games for us to pass them. 0-3 points - We would have no hope of passing them. It's a tall mountain to climb, but we've been climbing mountains all year. Why not one more? We'll just need a little help.
Wow, I just realized something today in my math class. I was helping a student with math, and decided to use 29 and 87 in my example, you know, being a Pens fan. Now, I knew that if you...
I realize the season is in full swing, and this doesn't have anything at all to do with how they're playing, but I thought it was pretty neat.
Scott Cullen of tsn.ca has been ranking the 30 NHL teams, one per day in September. Here is his take on the Pens chances this season. Note that nearly 73% of the people who voted in the poll think this is too low.
I was looking at the Pens roster today, and I noticed a lack of players born outside of North America. This roster doesn't just include those who will be in the line-up in October. It includes...
