Cards & Rocks Trade Partners??
http://mlbbuzz.yardbarker.com/blog/mlbbuzz/do_the_cardinals_and_rockies_match_up/4234190?new_post=true
A Paeon to David Freese....
Let's face it: the future success of the Cards depends on a rock-solid hitter and smooth fielder at third base, the kind of guy that David Freese WAS turning into, until fate played a dastardly trick on all of us and left us floundering with the likes of Pedro Feliz and Floppy at third. Oh the degradation!
So, to promoote Tastee's rejuvenation and return to the hot corner this off-season, I have cowposed a tune, sung to the immortal Kink's lyrics in David Watts. We need to all sing this 3 times a day!!!

Should the Cards get Wiggy??? :=8)
Ty Wiggington has been put on trade waivers by the O's. I know, I know, his D is not very good, even though he plays many positions. Still, he's got a pretty nice bat, and I have to think he would be moore valuable in the end than, say, Winn or even (SHUDDER) our beloved Grit, off the bench on for the occasional start. Does u all agrees, and if so, cow do we make it work?

Those Wacky McCourts!
Before everyone cowplains about the Cards FO, check out the Dodgers!

A MooCow Ramble About Nothing In Particular...
Today Justin Heyward of the Braves began his promising baseball career by hitting a rousing dinger in his first at-bat. You might think that bodes well for a player, but history tells us udderwise:

I know many of you hate WHIP, but I'm posting this anycow. These tables tell me a couple of things:
1. Our Big 3 match up game for game with anyone in the play-off - my only cowcern would be game 2 of a series with the Dodgers, pitting Wainy VS Wolf. That could be trouble, esp. since he is a lefty.
2. Franklin is a bit weaker than the others, depending on what Philly does. If Madsen or Pedro closes, they are stronger, but not as strong as Franklin. if Lidge stays - WOOHOO!! But Franklin is not as good as Broxton or Street, and this is cowcerning.
3. Overall our pen matches well, although Bentacourt is a marvelous set-up guy. That tells me that we need to get to the Rock's starters, and early, if we're going to beat them in a series. We don't want to be behind late and run into the Bentacourt and Street buzzsaw.
There are udder points to be made too, but I;ll leave it for the rest of you to come up with stuff - preferably besides moaning cow bad a statistic WHIP is. I am a lazy cow, and this is all I cud come up with today.

I Have a Dream....
...and in my dream, the Oakland Raiders in the 2006 draft select DT Haloti Ngata over Michael Huff to shore up their D-line; in 2007 they select Adrian Peterson over JaMarcus Russell (still select Miller & Bush), and in 2008 they select Joe Flacco over D Mac. I never want to wake up from this. Do you see me now, Toe Cutter? Do you see me, man?
(SIGH)
It's a dream I have...

The Dunc Returneth?? :=8.
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/player/351171
Fox Sports reports that the Sawks have released Chris Duncan. It would seem he was not hitting at Pawtucket, and that he is still not completely back from his neck injury. One has to wonder, now that Dunc is free to sign with anyone, if he'll come back to the Cards organization. SHOULD he? Cud we sign him to a AAA cowtract and keep him stashed until such time as he regains (if he ever does) his power stroke, or do we just stick a fork in him? This cow does not see too much risk in offering him a minor league cowtract, for old times sake, just on the off-chance that he cud make it back enough to be a decent bench player, and perhaps a decent lefty pinch hitter. It might be good karma too.
What does everyone else think?
