I just listened to a radio interview with Mike Shanahan, and he was asked about not making the playoffs the last two years, and he said, and I quote, “No one puts more pressure on me then I do on myself. WE WILL NOT MISS THE PLAYOFFS (this year).”

I love it! To hear the head couch with that kind of determination and confidence in the team. Now I am really excited for football season baby!

104.3 the Fan is reporting from Dove Valley that wide receiver Brandon Marshall suspended for 4 games. This is a huge blow to the Broncos, and in my opinion it makes the first 4 games of the season tough wins. This really sucks because I wanted to be at full strength for the Faders, and SD. He has been by far one of the best players in camp. Suck. So when do the Broncos start practicing without Marshall in the starting lineup? Thoughts…

The Broncos are expected to release FS John Lynch on Thursday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. (I know he was not at practice today for "personal" reasons.)
The paper calls San Diego a possible suitor, but Lynch wouldn't get what he wants there: a job as a three-down starter. Lynch is 37 in September, but could still help somewhere as a box safety. Teams in need of a hard hitting DB include St. Louis, Washington, Philadelphia, and possibly the Jets. Houston is deep at safety, but may also have interest due to Lynch's ties with Gary Kubiak.
I for one am really upset at this news. Even though it seems Lynch had lost a step, he was a leader and a fan favorite. I am super bummed at the news, but mostly for losing Lynch the man, not really Lynch the player.

I had a few friends at camp today and here are a few things that they noticed. Take it or leave it.

1. Hillis is a stud. They said he flattened a few poeple today.

2. Clady is going to need some work. They said Elvis blew him up on almost every play when he bull rushed. There was one play that Elvis had him so turned around that he took his helmet off. ouch

3. Cutler looked real real solid.

4. B Marr looked real gassed though he did make some great catches and the arm looked fine.

5. Djax looked really good, they didn't see him miss a ball.

6. Royal made the catch of the day along the sidelines.

ok there is a lot more but I am late for a BBQ, catch ya lata

Rotoworld reports the following:

Broncos signed T Ryan Clady, the No. 12 overall pick, to a five-year, $17.5 million contract, according to Adam Schefter. The deal includes $11.5 million guaranteed.

Clady will start for the Broncos immediately and protect Jay Cutler's blindside. The Broncos have a lot of question marks on offense, but improvement from their line would go a long way.

This is exciting, I think we will have everyone in camp!

Royal Signed 1 to go

Mike Klis, The Denver Post:

The Broncos haven't yet had their first day of training camp, and already Eddie Royal has had a big day.

First, the Broncos gave him a new number Wednesday. Then they gave him a new four-year contract.

The new jersey number is 19. He had been wearing No. 3 during the offseason minicamps. The contract numbers are much larger: The guarantee is worth nearly $2.25 million, with the total package coming in at around $3.9 million.

More important, Royal will be back deep, ready to catch the first punt and kickoff of training camp Friday as he bids to become the Broncos' top returner in 25 years.

Rarely has the return game been a Broncos strength since Rick Upchurch retired in 1983. Darrien Gordon had a nice two-year run during their Super Bowl championship years. Deltha O'Neal was effective earlier this decade.

But rarely have the Broncos placed the kind of emphasis in their return game they did during this offseason, when they selected Royal with their second-round draft pick, No. 42 overall.

With Royal signed, the Broncos have all 80 players under contract except first-round pick Ryan Clady. Considerable progress in negotiations has been made in recent days, and an agreement on a six-year contract with the left tackle is expected to be reached by tonight. The guaranteed portion of Clady's contract is expected to be from $10.7 million to $11 million.

ESPN Position Rankings

I really don't know why I red these stupid rankings but here are the position rankings for the Broncos this year, and wow...

QB 12

RB 29

WR 17

TE 13

OL 16

DL 32

LB 28

DB 9

ST 28

I mean are you kidding me, RB 29?!? ESPN so frustrating. If you look at it as an average the Broncos is 20.4, and with Oakland at 21.1 and Kansas City at 22, apparently the ESPN football God's think San Diego will run away with the division this year with their rating at 5.7. I love that KC is the 9th rated rushing team, but their OL is 32. HMM?

I really don’t like to call people out like this but Lindsey Jones from the Denver Post is just killing me right now, killing me. I know she is new and maybe she will get better as time goes on, but as things stand right now it is hard for me to take the DP’s coverage of the Broncos’ seriously. You would think with how popular the Broncos are, that their coverage would be high profile, but maybe not so much…
