Byrning sensation when I pee
So if the D'bags dump Byrnes I can't imagine him not wanting to play in SF. Any chance he would take a cheap contract since he will be getting $11 mil from Arizona next year? If he was healthy I would prefer him over Vroom, LOLewis, or Gamer.
According to ESPN: Kelvin Pichardo was suspended 50 games for testing positive for performance enhancing substances
Manny is a Dodger??
According to ESPN's Enrique Rojas, Manny Ramirez has agreed to a two-year, $45MM deal with the Dodgers.
Will Selva, an anchor for ESPNews, is now saying that the network is "trying to confirm" the report. Plenty more details to come...
Crede???
Looks like Sabean is keeping busy over the holidays.
I wouldn't be mad about a 1 year deal but I'm not sure how much it would help this team.
If you could have one of them...
Luckily for me my mind allows me to dream about the what if's rather than being depressed by our sad team. The World Series has got me thinking... What if we could have one player from one of the teams in the WS for free. Who would it be?
Longoria or Utley are probably my two favorites but I can't say I would mind having Upton roaming CF at the booth or having Hamels or Price pitching between Lincecum and Cain.
So the question is, if you could have one player from either team and you didn't even have to trade away Cain or Timmy who would it be?
A few new trade names...
Some clown from the Chicago tribune discusses the Giant's interest in trading for a bat. I've heard plenty of the Uggla rumors but have never heard of Derrek Lee being a possibility. I believe Konerko's name was tossed around before the trade deadline. Uggla seems reasonable if the Marlin's have a fire sale but I would not touch Konerko with a ten foot pole and think Derek Lee is heading down hill and will be worthless by the time this team contends.
I felt obligated to post this article since it mentioned Matt Cain and believe we need to keep talking about how ridiculous trading Cain would be until Sabean finally hears us.

Anyone for Scott Thorman?
Backup first baseman for the Braves. Looks like they are looking to trade him and are in need of relief pitching. I personally have never heard of him but I'm sure he would be better than what we have now.
C.C. Sabathia a Giant? (in 2009)
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/jon_heyman/03/03/heyman.sabathia/1.html
SI.com's Jon Heyman believes C.C. Sabathia's three most likely landing spots next winter are the Yankees, Dodgers, and Giants, in that order.
While Sabathia/Tim Lincecum/Matt Cain would be nasty, I can't see the Giants doing another $100MM+ pitching contract. Then again, I didn't see them as a top suitor for Aaron Rowand this winter.
- How could the Giant's even be a top 10 contender for C.C next year when we have Zito's contract and absoulutely zero offense?? I'll have to check my ESPN insider account and see what they say about this.
Do you believe in second chances?
I'm not sure if anyone heard Rags today on the Razor an Mr. T but he said that Armando called him asking him to come back this offseason. And Rags said he was dead serious. One of the funnisest things I've heard in a long, long, long time. Do you guys think it would be a good idea, just for the comedy value?
Anyone interested in 6x6 fantasy draft tonight at 8:30?
Email me if you are interested. 6*6 league head to head. I need one more player.

Damian Moss???

Damian Moss
San Francisco Giants' Latest Big Move
by Randy Shaw, Dec. 14, 2006
In another sign that Giants GM Brian Sabean has lost his bearings, the team has added 30-year old Damian Moss to its crack pitching staff. Moss, who was traded by the Giants in 2003, is coming off a stellar 0-5, 7.67 ERA year with the Long Island Ducks of the Independent Atlantic League. Not to worry, Giants fans, because according to the San Francisco Chronicle, "the Giants scouted him in Puerto Rica this offseason, liked his velocity and thought he was worth a look." Could the team not have signed a Duck with a winning record?
Who needs Zito?
