Players still line up to sign with Alabama even after a Wall Street Journal investigation into the tactics Coach Nick Saban uses to get under the 85-scholarship limit each year.
Give Saban credit. At least he tells recruits they might get cut to clear space for newer signees. When the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Sun-News interviewed seven participants in the Offense-Defense Bowl about the topic of the one-year, renewable scholarship, only one, Alabama commitment Christion Jones, knew his scholarship had to be renewed annually. "Coach Saban told me it's a one-year scholarship you have to work for," Jones told the paper. "Some coaches don't tell some kids. Some kids have to find out the hard way."

Blackmon and three friends attended the Dallas Cowboys' game Monday night against the New York Giants. Gundy said he was not aware of the trip, and Blackmon didn't say he had permission to go. Monday was an off day from practice for Oklahoma State players, Gundy said.
"I just kind of up and went," Blackmon said.
Blackmon said he can't comment on where he got the tickets for the NFL game.
....fans are saying they came from a friend's dad and there is no problem with it...so FWIW .... just thought it was something to keep in mind....as we know from our own agent mess lately...gifts are troublesome.

Nick Saban's Take on Broncos
He noted that Alabama defeated Virginia Tech in its 2009 opener and defeated "six other teams that were the caliber of Virginia Tech, or maybe better. And maybe more than that if you throw in Texas and Florida in the SEC Championship Game. ..."
A few interesting things about stadium that Mal Moore touched on.
As was already detailed on the front page, Mal talked about the new stadium addtions and a few things jumped out at me.....
1.there will be new rules implemented specifically for students. Those sitting in the back row will no longer be allowed to stand on the bleachers because it will block the view of the first five rows in the Zone Club seating. The back row will be monitored throughout the entire game. (This means that everyone will stand in the student sections EXCEPT the back row. Good luck seeing anything there. Probably going to be very unpopular seats.)
2.With the feel of an exclusive sports grill, the 16,5000-square-foot Stadium Club allows you to mix your own drinks in the pouring room. (Am I the only one that instantly thought about a room that you could mix your jack from the small bottles in your sock with soda) ( and if I am sorry ha)

BCS Ticket Safey Precautions
I am supposed to be buying some tickets from a TIDE PRIDE member tomorrow that I found on Craigslist. Is there any advice anyone has for safety precautions to ensure that I do not get ripped off? For example, how to verify tickets/Tide pride members authenticity?

That's going to happen. It happens to everyone who ever plays back there.
"If you can take that and go play the next play, you ought to certainly be able to take whatever I'm giving you. So when it doesn't bother you anymore, I'll probably quit doing it. I know that's probably hillbilly psychology 101 from West Virginia, but that's just the way I believe it to be."
