Interesting results. Personally, I am not a fan of Rojas and Gubi. Rojas almost patronizes Gubi due to an apparent intelligence gap. I agree with the humor jab as well.
I am in the extreme minority of being a huge Phyz/Rex fan, but tip of the cap nonetheless.

Joe West Named Crew Chief

Major League Baseball has made another transparent pro Red Sox move by naming Joe West the crew chief for the Angels-Red Sox ALDS matchup. In case you forgot, West is the same bag of doughnuts who ejected Hunter, Hatcher, and Speier after Beckett acted like a masshole during a Bobby Abreu at bat that ended with benches clearing and Nick Adenhart comments raging. In my opinion, it was more appalling than Rick Reed's debacle with the missed strike call. There is at least room for the excuse of a human error in that instance. This was blatant favoritism. MLB immediately suspended Beckett it was so blatant.
There are three other crew chief options to go with, and we magically ended up with this sorry excuse for American umpiring. I would find it odd that MLB pulled this move, but I am sure everyone knows why I am hardly surprised. Let's hope everything goes smoothly...

Are you an Ervin Santana fan?

If anyone is a fan of Travis Pastrana's Nitro Circus, then you already know. Ervin Santana was featured on the show airing on Thursdays on MTV (caution:the ridiculous future of popular music is also showcased during commercial breaks). The Nitro crew hit up LA for the season opener and decided Ervin represented the local culture. I could not agree more. The stunt involves tomatoes (firm) and Ervin's "100 mph fastball", which he is "known for".
As of now, it is on the front page of the show website, www.nitrocircus.com. Probably will remain so for a week.
Hilarious Manny Meltdown

News reports claim Manny did not test positive for HCg or Midol or whatever it was. He only had a prescription for it. The question and issue? What made his testosterone four times the normal level? Experts suspect straight up steroids. For $45 million dollars, you have to wonder if Manny was a bad investment if he turns out like, say, his buddy David "Pequeno Nino" Ortiz. I'm sure we will all hear more details for the rest of our lives.

My brother is a huge Braves fan and is doing something interesting set up by their fan blog. He is in a fantasy league with other Braves fans and will play head to head each week against a group of Phillies fans. Is there something going on like that for the Angel fans? Like against the A's or something? Just wondering.
If not, I'm not very good at setting it up otherwise I would do it myself. Maybe someone could jump in and get it going?

While at Spring Training on Wednesday against the White Sox, Angels GM Tony Reaggins told me Dusting Moseley currently has the fifth spot of the rotation, and Moseley later confirmed it. That being said, its very early in the spring still.
He also alluded to Adenhart still belonging in Triple A due to his young age.
