Hello Auburn fans and WAR EAGLE! Sorry I have not been active here on Track Em Tigers as of late, I have had a VERY busy football season, but not to busy to experiance what will likely go down as one of the best seasons of Auburn football in history, like that of the 57, 83, 93, and 04 teams. So since it is Thanksgiving Weekend I want to know which game so far this season are you giving thanks for (which was your favorate)? Was it the Starkville steal, wide left Clemson-Auburn style, or was it the basketball game on the plains (Auburn-Arkansas)? Was it the invasion of Ole Miss, or "punching" our ticket to Atlanta against UGA? Do you think one of the next three games will be the best of the year? Let me know in the pole below!
A very pun happy AuburnKnight signing out with a loud and proud WAR EAGLE!!!!
What would we do today without instant replay for college football. This is from the 2001 Auburn @ Vanderbilt game.
As always, War Eagle!
How I Became An Auburn Fan (TheAuburnKnight)
Hello Everybody and War Eagle! So with the encouragement for fans and writers to share there "Auburn Stories of Fandome" I thought I would tell you my story of how I became and Auburn fan. Its not a long story, but it is mine. My mother graduated from Auburn with a degree in engineering. She was a student during Bo Jackson's days as a Tiger, and she still follows Auburn Football to this day. I grew up in a pro-Auburn household, but I never really cared for football when I was young, to be honest, I was more intrested in the football food then the actual football. I did not grow up in Alabama so I was never really under and pressure to pick a side either, but I do live in Florida, around alot of gator fans, some ruder to other fans then others. Oddly enough 2008, when Auburn went 5-7, got steamrolled by Bama, and Florida won the national championship, is when I started really getting into Auburn football. What got me into Auburn football is when I went to the Auburn-Arkansas game that 2008 season, and even though they lost, even though I had to listen to gator fans trash Auburn for the next 7 days, I realized Auburn was special, and I loved it! Tiger Walk, the War Eagle, the pure size of Jordan-Hare Stadium. I really became part of the Auburn family after that weekend, and I am pround to be able to say that I am part of this family, this Auburn family.

Friday Fun Poll
With the begining of NFL preseason football just a little over a month away, I am curious, which former tiger, or tigers, from last years team are you guys looking forward to seeing play in the NFL? Please feel free to vote or comment who you plan watch play in the NFL this year, from last years team. I personally plan to watch Ben Tate and Antonio Coleman play.

The Ultimate "Runningback U." Auburn or USC?
I am a huge Auburn fan, and on occasion I like to brag about how Auburn is "Runningback U", only to be told by rival fans that USC (Southern Cal) is the REAL runningback U. Some say Auburn is the runningback u of the east and USC is the runningback u of the west. Which had me thinking who is the ultimate runningback u? Well I did some research and have listed, side by side, the amount of quality runningbacks that have come from each school. My criteria is as such.
- ran for at least 2,000 career rushing yards over 3-4 years.
- If they were a transfer from another school and only had 1-2 years, then they had to have at least 1,400 career rushing yards.
- DOES NOT have to be a trophy winner.
- I did not count Reggie Bush seeing as he was ineligable his whole career, still a great runningback though.
Here is the list of great runningbacks from Auburn and Southern Cal. (In no particular order.)
Auburn USC
Bo Jackson O.J. Simpson
James Brooks Charles White
Joe Cribbs Ricky Bell
Stephen Davis Mike Garret
Brent Fullwood LenDale White
Rudi Johnson Jon Arnett
Ronnie Brown
Kenny Irons
James Bostic
*You could make an
argument for Ben Tate and Tucker Fredrickson.*
(Ben Tate had 1,959 career rushing yards)
So it looks like Auburn has produced more quality runningbacks all time and in recent history. I think that Auburn is the ultimate "Runningback U."
What do you guys think based on the list? Auburn or USC? Vote or leave a comment telling me your opinion.

Would Texas A&M Really Have Been Good For The SEC?
With the report that it looks like Texas, OU, and A&M are sticking the the Big 12, err, Big 10, means that Texas A&M will obviously not be joining the SEC anytime soon. Which raises the question, would A&M really have been a good fit for the SEC? Would it have been beneficial to both parties for A&M to move? I say yes but what do you think? Would A&M been a good fit? Vote or comment tellling me what you guys think about the subject. Heres a couple of A&M thoughts and facts.
- In 2007-2008 the aggies generated $71,186,184 of revenue. (Through sponsers, ticket sales, etc.)
- A&M would provide a Dallas (and Texas) market.
- Would have a natural rival in Arkansas but lose Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.
- Last win against SEC foe in football was in the 1990's (against LSU.)
