Before the UFC. Before Bully Beatdown. He was causing mayhem way back in 2003
Here's the story:
I competed in Grapplers Quest at the UFC Fan Expo in Boston this past weekend. They gave out some free DVDs to the competitors of the Trials for the U.S.A. National Submission Grappling Team from 2003-2004. This had the complete tournaments of four different weight classes and featured such fighters as Jeff Monson, Brandon Vera (they competed for gold and silver in the heavyweight division), the Florian brothers, the Avellan brothers, Tim Capenter, as well as Jason Mayhem Miller.
Upon watching the Middleweight (160-179lbs) finals between Pablo Popovitch (who beat Kenny Florian in semi finals) and Nakapan Phungephorn, I notice a young 23-year-old Jason Mayhem Miller in the background looking extremely thin, even though he competed at Cruiserweight (180-199lbs). But as soon as he notice the camera on him, he puts on a little show.
Video of Wanderlei Silva heading into surgery and footage of the procedure. Wanderlei talks about his early life in Brazil and the hardships he faced as an up and comer in a little known sport.

The 6 People Who Ruin A UFC PPV Party
I know that at some point we have all run into these types before; at the gym, at a friends UFC party, at the local sports bar. They're everywhere.
And using statistics, some of the people reading this fall into at least one of these categories, so let this serve as a warning to you!
Put two men in a steel cage and let them destroy each other. In doing so, you’ll get one of the fastest growing sports in the world today. What was once considered barbaric and savage is now setting trends faster then you can say “you got knocked the fuck out.”Unfortunately when it comes to watching this sport via pay-per-view, you’ll need to prepare yourself for the douchebaggery of spectators that surround you.

Last week I went out to Vegas and I signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC, which is much like my last contract. I also brought up the fact that I wanted to do a hunting show and they thought that would be a good thing. They still have to find out who, where and when my next fight will be and I will try to post that info ASAP. Nothing is decided yet, so anything you might be reading on the internet right now is just rumors and speculation. However, one name the UFC did bring up is a person I’ve never fought before.

Due to a large amount of media requests, M-1 Global Co-Owner and President Vadim Finkelchtein has released the following statement in response to questions regarding an update on the status of contract talks between Fedor Emelianenko and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
"There have been recent reports stating that talk between M-1 Global and the UFC regarding Fedor fighting in the UFC have ended. Like some of the other reports that have surfaced, this is incorrect."It is unfortunate that so much incorrect information has been leaked to the public. It is M-1’s preference not to negotiate in public and we are unsure why people claim that Fedor and M-1 turned down a six fight, $30 million contract to fight in the UFC when no such offer was ever made.
"Even though Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White did not meet with Fedor in person on Tuesday, they were represented over the phone. Outside of representatives of the UFC and M-1, no other company was represented during our negotiations. Since we did not go to the media with details of the meeting and only responded to the erroneous reports, we are unsure how these reports started.
"It’s unfortunate because these type of tactics will not help ensure that M-1’s talks with the UFC are fruitful. M-1 Global is still interested in continuing to negotiate with the UFC and while we are fielding offers from other major promotions, nothing has been decided. It is our hope that the UFC will remain in active dialogue with us as we try to find ways for us to work together. All we are asking is that there is give-and-take in the negotiations and that they are not one-sided."
