If Micheal Johnson falls to the 55th pick should we take him?
As a GT fan i must say this would be awsome. he definatly has the skill set desired and he definatly could become consistent learning from The Predator.
Then again he's passion for the game has been called into question. Do we really want a guy who will take plays off and could become just a situational pass rusher?
you decide.
here are his college stats.
2005: Limited playing time. only 1 sack.
2006: 33 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, three forced fumbles and two pass break-ups
2007: 21 tackles, 6 for a loss, 4 sacks, blocked 2 kicks, forced 3 fumbles and recovered 1
2008: 17.5 takles for a loss, 9 sacks, forced 3 fumbles, recovered 1 fumble and had 1interception return for a touchdown, blocked 1 kick, 7 pass breakups. couldn't find tackle total for the year.
Off subject but.... GO HAWKS!
I have never been a huge basketball fan. while i do apreciate star players such as LBJ and D-Wade i couldn't ever really get into it. Last night changed that. watching the Hawks demolish the Heat 90-64 was simply incredible. never have i seen fans for Any Atlanta team go as crazy as they did last night. The 2 back 2 back dunks by josh smith were 45 seconds of pure pleasure. after witnessing a beatdown handed out by the Hawks like i never expected to see i must say that i actually have something to watch in the offseason.
If u missed this game or simply don't like basketball i urge u to find some highlights and watch. i will open your eyes. Finally another Atlanta team has risen from the ashes of mediocrity to become a contender. (im not a baseball fan at all. games are just down right boring and slow).
Again i know this was not about the Falcons but i coulnd't contain my glee and had to speak it in some fashion before i imploded with joy.
GO HAWKS... GO FALCONS!
Breakout Season?
Ive been thinking about who is going to have the next breakout season for us. last year was a tie between The Burner Turner and Matty Ice Ryan.
I truly hope it will be a defensive player as we are good on offense. i see it being either Lofton or Nicholas imho. but where do you guys stand ? think its a player thats not on the team yet? will it be Harry Douglas as WR/KR? or will it be the infamous pile of poo which is taking over our minds?
The WildFalcon Formation
This may have been a post before i joined and if it is shame on me but oh well. whith the craze that is the WildCat Formation spreading across the leauge i started to look at our roster to se if we had the players in place to run it.
And we do. with the line we have with a lot of hold overs from our zone blocking days we have the ability to pull realitivley well. putting both The Burner and Norwood in the backfield would dismay teams into bringing 8 in the box or even 9. Matty Ice wouldn't be a real viable option to run it but what about DJ? if the injurys to his leg haven't Demolished his mobility i beleive he would do quite well out of it.
its just a thought. what do you guys think?
