Teddy Bridgewater (6-3/195/4.6)

Teddy Bridgewater

(Miami Northwestern HS) Miami, Fla.
Current Ranking: 5-Star, No. 3
Committed to Louisville

Why he's No. 1:
Bridgewater is an ideal for today's spread offenses. He has good size. He's a fluid athlete capable of making throws on the run. He's athletic enough that he could play wide receiver or safety on the next level, but is most dangerous with the ball in his hands. A leader amongst his peers, players gravitate to him.

Why he's not:
Bridgewater is an unrefined passer who has an average arm when compared against the other top quarterbacks in the country. He can be inconsistent with his reads and his accuracy. A system quarterback, Bridgewater doesn't have the skill set to adapt to excel in a pure drop-back environment.

Terribly written article. The worst part may be this:

"Steve Jackson put up surprisingly good numbers (1,416 yards and 51 receptions) last season for an awful Rams team. However, you got the feeling watching the Rams play that teams were often conceding yards to Jackson because they ultimately knew the Rams were not a threat and/or the opponents usually had a lead. This is a sad end to a nice career. Hopefully, the Rams get a clue and trade Jackson to a contender this season before his back really does finally give out. Sadly, the Rams have no legitimate second threat."

With the departure of Wimbley, the Browns really need someone to step up and provide some pass rush. Could Benard be the guy?

This guy is usually a pretty good writer and I agree with most of what he says here.

Mocking The Draft Shady's Mock 3.0

  1. St. Louis                   Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska- Rams play it safe and decide they don't want to win next year.
  2. Detroit                      Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma- Either him or Eric Berry, but I think McCoy has a better combine.
  3. Tampa Bay                Eric Berry, S, Tennessee- With the DTs gone, Berry is the best option for Tampa.
  4. Washington               Anthony Davis, LT, Rutgers- I think Campbell stays, so he will need some help BAD! In the combine Davis will show he is better than Okung.
  5. Kansas City              Jason Pierre-Paul, DE/OLB, South Florida- After his freak workouts, he will shoot up like Brian Orakpo. KC needs OLBs and JPP has a very high ceiling.
  6. Seattle                      James Clausen, QB, Notre Dame- Carrol will want a QB to run his offense, and Clausen is the best QB and fits in Carrol's system.
  7. Cleveland                 Joe Haden, CB, Florida- Browns secondary needs some help and Haden is the best CB in the draft.
  8. Oakland                    Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech- Even if they resign Seymour, DE is still a big need for Oakland. For some reason it sounds like Al won't give up on Jamarcus, so I doubt it will be Bradford.
  9. Buffalo                      Russell Okung, LT, OKST- This pick is a good value, and Bradford may be a reach here.
  10. Denver - from Chicago- Jared Odrick, DE, Penn State- He will rise due to playing 34 DE and having a great Senior Bowl. The Broncos also need playmakers on the defensive line.
  11. Jacksonville-             Brian Price, DT, UCLA- This was a tough pick to make, but the Jags need to get to the QB and there aren't any DEs worth this pick. Price could add explosiveness to the Jacksonville's Defensive line.
  12. Miami-                       Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas- McClain may be a safer pick, but Miami just needs an OLB too badly and OLB is more valuable to a 3-4 than an ILB.
  13. San Francisco           Earl Thomas, FS, Texas
  14. Seattle - from Denver  Bruce Campbell, LT, Maryland
  15. New York Giants       Rolando McClain, MLB, Alabama
  16. Tennessee                Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee
  17. San Francisco - from Carolina Brian Bulaga, RT, Iowa
  18. Pittsburgh                Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida
  19. Atlanta                      Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
  20. Houston                    CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson
  21. Cincinnati                  Dez Bryant, WR, OKST
  22. New England             Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, MIchigan
  23. Green Bay                Charles Brown, LT, USC
  24. Philadelphia              Everson Griffen, DE, USC
  25. Baltimore                  Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame
  26. Arizona                     Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
  27. Dallas                       Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
  28. San Diego                 Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech
  29. New York Jets           Damian Williams, WR, USC
  30. Minnesota                 Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
  31. Indianapolis               Taylor Mays, S/MLB/OLB This pick will be criticized, but the Colts can afford to take a risk. Mays has the size of weakside linebacker and is bad in coverage for a safety, but for a linebacker he is good in coverage.
  32. New Orleans             Sean Weatherspoon, OLB, Mizzouri
Round 2

  1. St. Louis                   Maukrice Pouncey, C/G, Florida
  2. Detroit                      Chad Jones, SS, LSU
  3. Tampa Bay               Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech
  4. Kansas City              Terrance Cody, NT, Alabama
  5. Washington               Rejus Benn, WR, Illinois
  6. Cleveland                 Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
  7. Oakland                   Vladimir Ducasse, T/G, UMass
  8. Seattle                     Carlos Dunlap, DE/DT, Florida
  9. Buffalo                     Lamarr Houston, DT, Texas
  10. Tampa Bay - from Chicago Arthur Jones, DT, Syracuse
  11. Miami                      Jerry Hughes, OLB, TCU I know this I gave them 2 OLBs but this is such a big need for them.
  12. New England - from Jacksonville Jahvid Best, RB, California
  13. Denver                     Cam Thomas, NT, North Carolina
  14. New York Giants       Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech
  15. New England - from Tennessee  Tyson Alualu, DE, Cal
  16. Carolina                   Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
  17. San Francisco          Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama

  19. Houston                   Perrish Cox, CB, OKST

  22. Cincinnati                Greg Hardy, DE, Ole Miss
  23. Philadelphia             Eric Norwood, DE/OLB, South Carolina
  24. Green Bay               Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan
  25. Baltimore                 Amari Spievy, CB, Iowa
  26. Arizona                   Ricky Sapp, OLB, Clemson

  2. Detroit                    Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas State
  3. Tampa Bay             Ciron Black, T/G, LSU

Please give your thoughts

And the reason I Mallet as number 1 is because NFL teams drafting first tend to fall in love with Big-armed SEC QBs.

Mocking The Draft How to fix the Cleveland Browns

1. First of all, Mangini is the answer. When we get a new coach, I would rather not get another Belichick disciple. I would like either Gruden, Leslie Frazier, or KYLE Shanahan.

2. We either need to develop Quinn or Ratliff better, or sign or trade for a decent QB or a stopgap.

3. I hate to say this, but we need to trade Shaun Rogers. He is getting older and we wont contend before he retires(more than likely). I think that a team desperate for a NT  could give us a late first or early second for him.

4. We need to draft well, (not like in the past) and here is how to do it.

We all remember when Cutler did this. With the trade deadline approaching, Cleveland might try to trade Quinn.
