UF's Carl Johnson's post Alabama comments
On what he learned from the 31-6 loss to No. 1 Alabama: "It showed us that these Crimson Tides are not gods. They’re people. To me, it wasn’t deflating. It was just, rest assured we can beat these guys. Look what we just did to the No. 1 team in the nation. We just drove the ball 85 yards. That just gave me more confidence.
Key Figure in Holloway Case Wanted in Peruvian Slaying
Bama plus Peru equals kleph. I was curious if you had any more data from Peru on this.
Jared Allen strikes again.
This is in no way Bama related. I thought it was pretty funny though.
has anyone else seen this...interesting pic, yet?
Jevan Snead on fan expectations
We don't need fans telling us how displeased they are with us. We are more upset; we know we could've played better. We lost to Alabama, but we had the best practices of the season last week. We were ready to play. We just didn't execute, and that's what's so frustrating for us—and I'm sure for the fans.
The Bradley Sowell "Promise"
Pretty much explains itself.
Colin Peek/"Holla McGhee" on MTV's Yo Momma

Nutt, Spurrier top players' poll
HOOVER - The reactions to the question were sometimes more enlightening than the answers.
Besides your current coach, which coach in the SEC could you see yourself playing for?
Statistics for 2008 season.
I thought this was pretty interesting. It is the NCAA official statistics for all of FBS for the 2008 season. Both offensive and defensive statistics are included. They can be broken down into week by week incrementation.
In conclusion: we sucked at passing the football. Furthermore, running the 34 and having the DEs and Mike LB leading sack totals is pretty pathetic. Where are you OLBs?
Spurrier Amends Tebow Ballot After Frenzy
"Our director of operations (Jamie Speronis) filled it out and brought it in to me one day. I looked at it quickly. I said, that’s fine. I signed off on it." Spurrier continued. "When all this came up Wednesday and in the Thursday morning paper, I read, some guy did not vote for Tim Tebow. Who was that?
"I called him (Speronis). I said, certainly we had Tim Tebow. He said, well, actually, coach, we had Jevan Snead. He said something about we already had 10 Gators, maybe get another guy. I said, that’s bad. But it's my fault. I take full responsibility. I messed that up. I apologized to Tim Tebow. We screwed it up pretty badly. I'm embarrassed about it. I feel bad about it. That's the way it happened."
Tide signees Lacey, Sentimore appear set to enroll
TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama’s collection of incoming freshmen will likely have a pair of final additions when the team reports Aug. 5.
Running back Eddie Lacey and defensive tackle Darrington Sentimore both got the grades they needed in summer classes in order to qualify academically. They now have to wait on the paperwork, and hope to be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse next week.

"We have received a lot of great exposure with ESPN. They have actually a schedule for us to play in three years to play a Big 12 team in the new Cowboys stadium." - Kirby Smart
