As the resident GatorBruin in the community, I just stumbled across this link making the rounds amongst my UF friends on facebook. Wouldn't it be nice if Adidas ever thought of doing anything like this for their flagship schools (Kentucky has one too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWaawMhaIwo&feature=relmfu)

We've all seen Leo rocking UCLA gear in past occurrences, but now it's his lady's turn to make the hat look good! I don't think I've ever seen a UCLA athlete look that good in the blue and gold.

Bikinis involved, possibly NSFW if you have a lame job.

Likely she's just a fan of the upstart baseball team.

I'm not gonna lie, Carroll's recent venture into youtube is pretty cool in my book. Can't wait to see how the Neuheisel vs Carroll rivalry continues both on and off the internet.

Not trying to beat a dead horse, but this analysis of our punting game last year is quite interesting.

"The most prolific punting team was UCLA, with an astonishing 93 punts on the season for a robust 3899 yards. That’s right; the Bruins had more punting yards than 14 teams gained on offense. For comparison, UCLA punted for 992 more yards than Notre Dame gained with its offense. Karl Dorrell, this is your legacy."

Sissy didn't see the court much in her time at UCLA, but now she's making her mark by crushing weak little girls in the trenches for the Shreveport Aftershock Women's Tackle Football team. She is really cool and I think this is an awesome story, click the link to access the video.

Stumbled on this...Kapono and Farmar disprove the NBA's .3 second tip rules.  Interesting.

Bruins Nation Why go bare when you can go BEAR?!?

This seems to just be hitting the blogs, so I figured BN should be up to speed on it.

UCLA alum Mike Filonczuk is the man with the plan behind this innovative creation:

Yup, Bruins brand condoms. According to his website:

Mike Filonczuk, UCLA alumn, patented inventor, co founder of hollywoodparts.com and president of Oakdale Creative LLC first envisioned envisioned custom collegiate condioms when he was at UCLA from 1970 to 1974. "No self respecting Bruin would ever wear a Trojan!" Mike remembers telling his intramural buddies. "If USC can have their own brand of condoms (ignorant at the time to the fact there really is no connection between USC and Trojan brand condoms) Then we Bruins should have our own condoms too!"

Truer words have never been spoken.

I applaud Mike and his creation, specifically the fantastic tag line on the back of the box: "Note: BRUINS will not stop the 8-CLAP"

Bruins Nation New 5 star QB transfer???

Bumped. If this turns out to be true also be on the look out for former Michigan QB coach Scott Loeffler (as speculated on Sunday). Rick F*&^ing Neuheisel. GO BRUINS. -N

If this is true...

Now, don't get your hopes up about the dude on the right. However, apparently the dude on the left, freshman QB Ryan Mallett from Michigan, has already decided to leave the team and sign up with UCLA! Here's the source:

There is speculation out of Ann Arbor that freshman quarterback Ryan Mallett has decided to leave Michigan and will transfer to UCLA, according to a person close to the team. Here's Mallett's profile.

Rick F*&%kin Neuheisel, ladies and gentlemen!

UPDATE –N: Brian over at MGoBlog has a post up on this topic, which reads like a concession post (?). Wolverines are taking "comfort" in landing Pryor (a hot shot 5 star QB for this year’s class who some are speculating will end up in Michigan, should Mallet decide to transfer). So, if this is true, it could be a double whammy for RN. Land an incredible talent in Mallet, while keeping Pryor out of the Pac-10 (Oregon is gunning hard for TP). GO BRUINS.

UPDATE II -N: From Sean at Michigan Sports Center:

As I said earlier today, listening to Lloyd Carr in his final meeting with the media suggested that Mallett had already made a decision, and my opinion was that that decision was to transfer. (By the way, Carr was wearing Adidas gear in that meeting because he can do what he wants) What really is interesting about this whole situation is to see where quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler ends up, because there are so rumors that he could go to UCLA. At the same time, rumors suggested that Mallett and Loeffler may sort of be a package deal, so if both landed in Westwood it wouldn't be surprising. Also per godblesstyus95 in the comment thread ESPN reported that "Lloyd Carr has spoken with Mallett and knows his decision, but wants Mallett to 'announce it himself'." Stay tuned. GO BRUINS.

UPDATE III -N: As flagged by SuperBruinMan in the comments, from Detroit Free Press, Debbie Malley pour a little cold water on all the speculation: "No decision has been made," Debbie Mallett said Thursday night of her son, the freshman quarterback — currently — at Michigan.

"Everybody thinks they know what Ryan’s doing. But Ryan has not made a decision yet. All these sources? They never came from anyone here." [...]

"He’s not a cure for cancer," she said of the thousands of fans across the country discussing her son. "We appreciate he has fans, but I don’t know how he handles this. He’s just 19 years old." LOL. Point taken. But next time we see any news report we will surely take note of it. In all fairness, from what I am hearing UCLA is not the only school in picture at this point. This all depends on where Scott L ends up as an assistant coach.

GO BRUINS.

Bruins Nation Here's something we can all agree on :)

Although some of us may find it difficult to get fired up the game on Saturday, I promise that this video will put a big smile on your face!

Bruins Nation Attention UCLA Band - The outcome of this game is dependent on you

Hopefully you got the message from my Deadspin preview, but if you didn't:

DO NOT PLAY 'CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON' ON SATURDAY! In case you didn't know, it's originally by the band Kansas. And we are playing Kansas.

Even though we knocked off #1 Kansas in January 2002, when you played that song, I was blown away by the complete lack of realization that you are essentially cheering for our opponent.

I know it's one of your favorite songs to play, so I'm sorry that I'm asking you to swallow your trombones for one game, but I'll let you make up for it by playing it twice in the final 4 game, k.

And for whoever was in charge of the music at the Rose Bowl in 2002 and 2004....thanks for pumping in "Machinehead" over and over while Reggie BUSH was running for 5000 yards against us.

Lets stop being stupid. Make the connections people!

Otherwise, Hi Nestor, I finally signed up.  I felt that I had to get this message out because it will truly be the X factor in Saturday's game. If the band plays that song, we will lose. Don't screw this up!
