Blast From The Past: The Amazing G-Men

I know Marques Maybin is already Mike's action hero, and how he's carried himself after his debilitating accident is so inspiring. I've decided to post something cool for Mike, and I hope you...

tRANscend - feat. Wesley Korir

I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet, but this new documentary on what drives distance runners features Louisville's own adopted son Wesley Korir pretty heavily. It looks to be well worth watching.

Jabari Parker Says "I Like Rick Pitino and Louisville"

+

Good article written by Jody Demling. It's always nice when the number one recruit, and arguably the most-wanted recruit since Lebron, says "I really like that program a lot," and he's talking about Louisville.

Peyton and Gorgui Get Some Love in The Sporting News

3

I didn't think any good national coverage would come out of this game, no matter how well we played or how much we beat Memphis by, but the Sporting News has made me look like a bad thinker. Best all-around PG in the country? I agree with your call, sir.

Shooting Russ Smith is Shooting... Humbly?

+

So I know a lot of us (mostly playfully) rag on Russ as a shooter who only thinks about getting his, and I sort of agreed. Then, I found this video in the related videos section of Howie's UL vs. WVU football highlights, and seeing as it's basketball season I figured I'd watch it just to maybe get more insight on this team. I started watching with the expectation of Russ being super giddy after a game in which he was given the green light to shoot to his heart's content and revealing the shooter's superego that I (and I know I wasn't the only Cards fan who had the same view) just knew he had. But then Russ started talking. And he was so laid back. And he didn't want to talk about his shots, or his scoring, and when directly asked about it he diverted the attention from himself and so truthfully talked all about how he felt bad for the players who were hurt that gave him a chance to play and how he only wants to do something special and be a part of it with his teammates. Just watch it for yourself and see. All I know is that I couldn't stop watching until it was over. After seeing this short close up, Russ seems like a special young man. Somehow I love this team even more.

How to Respond to This Whole Conference Saga

Do you guys remember that one time we were in C-USA...And we were a bit mediocre in basketball and football for awhile in the late 90’s and early 00’s? Then we hired Coach P. A couple years later...
