Sorry that I copy and pasted from my fantasy league, but this was the fastest way. Thanks for the rates!
Windy City Gridiron Fantasy Football
Hi, I want to make a league for fantasy football with fellow bear fans. This would be a league using ESPN fantasy Sports. I want to make a league with keepers if people want to, and many roster spots so it seems like you are running a huge team. Would anyone want to do this or help me with it. I will only create the league if people want to join. Any ideas? Any Thoughts? I thank you in advance for help.

Takes us out of the running. Thank you Eagles.
Help with Keepers
Hi, I am new to the fantasy football keeper leagues and was wondering if anyone could give me a run down of what exactly a keeperleague is. I know you keep players, but how many and how do you chose them? Any help would be appreciated as my draft is coming up soon. Thanks for the help in advance. I need this to be 75 words long and I didn't know how to make a fan shot of this, Hopes this makes it 75 words.
White Sox Acquire Alex Rios
The White Sox have finally acquired a Solid CenterFielder. All they had to do was *Gulp* take on Rios's contract of nearly 60 million.
Trade Deadline Review: Chicago White Sox
Hi, I am the user, The_Fan. I am hoping that if enough people like these posts I put up, I might be able to do more of this kind. Please tell me if these are useful posts.
The basis of these posts I am planning on doing are to evaluate different teams activity at the trade deadline and pretty much sum up if they are winners or losers at the deadline, and how trades they made could work out. Pretty much comparing the Deadline Previews that some writers on this website did compared to what actually happened. Please note that I did not have a 2009 Trade Deadline Preview to Cross Reference with.
The Chicago White Sox, 2005 World Series Winners, and perennial contenders. GM Kenny Williams is very bold in the moves he makes and always keeps fans interested and the team in contention. Kenny Williams also made a bold deadline move when he traded for Jake Peavy, 2007 NL Cy Young Award Winner, giving up some of the White Sox top pitching prospects in for Peavy being injured until September. The White Sox also control Peavy now until the end of 2012. They will also pay all of his contract.
Jake Peavy Trade Analysis - I say this was a bad deal for the White Sox right now. Peavy won't really contribute much this year, but will help us contend in the next 4 years. The pitching prospects that we gave up, Clayton Richard, Aaron Poreda, Adam Russell, and Dexter Carter, were some of our top pitching prospects, if not the best in our system. None of the guys we gave up are projected to be ace's or great closers, so it might of been a win for the Sox. The Sox still have a chance at making the playoffs, so this deal was mostly planning for the future. Many people thought the Padres had sold low on Peavy, but I think they got some good pitching prospects. They easily vaulted up the ranks with pitching prospects this deadline.
Brain Anderson Trade Analysis - This trade made me scratch my head a little, but in hind site, Anderson isn't going to amount to much, and Mark Kotsay is a good addition as a lefty bat to backup the outfield, first base, and supply hits off the bench. I think good trade for the White Sox, they got rid of a 1st round bust for a good backup. I read that Brian Anderson is going to be held in AAA for a while and used as outfield depth for the Red Sox. Win-Win for both teams.
The White Sox were "winners" at this trade deadline. Even though they gave up top pitching prospects, their farm system is still stacked with talent and they are now poised for many more years of contending. What does everyone think about the White Sox Trade Deadline Performance this year?
Chiefs sign Amani Toomer
He would be a great addition to our team. A good target for Cassel to go to and will make our team better overall. What does everyone else think?
Selig going to lift ban on Rose?
Bud Selig is "seriously" considering lifting the pro baseball ban on Pete Rose from playing and managing making him elgible to get ito the HOF. I think this is great, what does everyone else think?
Draft Pick Trading: Friend or Foe?
This is a repost of somthing I wrote on BTB just reposting
After reading Sky Kalkmans great piece here, I remembered a simmering topic I always think about, draft pick trading. I think it would be a great idea for the MLB considering that it works for the NFL, maybe it will work for Pro Baseball. I've assembled a small list of Pluses and Minuses of Draft Pick Trading.
+ Rebuilding Teams can add Extra Picks to their team for players.
- Draft Pick Compensation will no longer be useful.
+ Instead of Future Considerations and Cash Considerations, get a later pick instead.
- Set a Certain Amount of Rounds
I know this is a short list, but just general ideas.
I think draft pick trading would be a nice addition to the MLB even though it will need some work. What does everyone else think on Draft Pick Trading in the MLB?

Revisiting Trades: 2007 Mark Teixeira BlockBuster
In the summer of July 2007, the Braves were in a tight race for the NL East. They were 3 1/2 games back of the Mets. They needed an established hitter to replace the weak spot in their order, 1st Base. The Braves had been trying to deal for a 1st baseman, at any cost. They were all out buyers with a Win-Now strategy.
July 31, 2007 Mark Teixeira and Ron Mahay are traded to the Atlanta Braves for Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Elvis Andrus, Neftali Feliz, Matt Harrison, and Beau Jones.
The Braves had filled a void in the field and recieved an established hitter and a good bullpen piece. They had gave up Top Prospects to try and make it to the playoffs. Now lets visit how good Teixeira and Mahay did with the Rangers and Braves.
Mark Teixeira Before Trade
| Games | AVG | HR | RBI |
| 78 | 0.297 | 13 | 49 |
Mark Teixera After Trade
| Games | AVG | HR | RBI |
| 54 | 0.317 | 17 | 56 |
As you can see Teixeira did way better with the Braves than he did with the Rangers. I don't know if he was worth all those prospects, but wait and see.
Ron Mahay Before Trade
| Games | Innings | E.R.A. | W | L | SO |
| 28 | 39 | 2.77 | 2 | 0 | 32 |
Ron Mahay After Trade
| Games | Innings | E.R.A. | W | L | SO |
| 30 | 28 | 2.25 | 1 | 0 | 23 |
Mahay did better E.R.A. wise, but he was probably worth one of the prospects given to the Rangers. He was a good piece to add for a team in the hunt.
For the prospects acquired, I am just going to do their career stats in the majors to give an idea of what they have done for the Rangers so far.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia
| Games | AVG | HR | RBI |
| 221 | 0.255 | 20 | 88 |
Elvis Andrus

As you can see, none of these players have amounted to much. Mostly they are just "Prospects" worth a look.
What happened after deadline
The Braves did not make the playoffs. They ended 5 games back from the Phillies. I say that the Rangers won this trade because they got top rated prospects for some of their best players. The Braves considerably weakened their farm system while not making the playoffs. Ron Mahay signed with the Royals the next season and Mark Teixeira was traded again in 2008 for Casey Kotchman and Steve Marek. The Braves definitely lost this trade.
What does everyone else think about this trade and who the winner of the deal was.
Help needed with Keeper League
Hi, I am The_Fan. I am creating a league so it's like being your own GM of your own Team. I want to make it so there is 11 starters on both defense and offense. I want to make it all keeper so you can keep your players aka making it like a gm of your own team. I was wondering if anyone would want to join and help me make this league so it's like you are your own GM. Thanks for the help.
