Well maybe I don't exactly hate his game.  The kid is a ridiculous shooter (50% from the field is already ridiculous but 50% from 3 is just godly) but boy when I'm watching him oh how I do hate how he gets those shots.  I cringe every time he drives coast to coast as it always looks like the ball is dribbling him and not the other way around. 

I guess part of it can be attributed to the fact that ball movement isn't exactly the greatest on the W's squad.  Most of PG's on this team look to score first before they consider passing to another player.  Ball movement on most nights is lacking and thus sometimes a guy like Morrow has got to force his hand to get his.  Also in his defense, I've seen him make some nifty passes off the dribble so it kinda justifies him handling the rock.  

However, doing those kind of things aren't playing off his strengths which is his stroke.  Ideally he should be trying as much as possible to pattern his game off guys like Reggie Miller, Rip Hamilton and Stojakovic (back in his prime in sac when webber was healthy).  Run your guy ragged through screens, move without the ball and one to two dribbles at most for drives to the hoop or to open space.  A player like that would also solve the half court offensive woes as it would allow the w's to run more than just give Monta the ball and let him go one on one or having CJ Watson dial his own number.  Heck I think he wouldn't be a bad playmaker for other players off that kind of movement either.

This just in from associated press.  I am deeply saddened by this.  I grew up a huge niners fan during the Bill Walsh era.  I have fond memories of cheering them along with my dad on Sundays.  Sad to see him go.  

I know this is a Dubs fan site but he's a bay area sports icon.

Although there's been precedence of this in college. I've never heard of officials in professional leagues getting into gambling or fixing games.  I'm curious not only who this official is, and what games he potentially fixed.  I also wonder what kind of backlash this will get from fans, especially from Warriors fans who were given the raw end of the deal a couple of times. (ie Tech on Nelson after the game was over)

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Indiana's loss combined with Orlando's victory over Boston eliminated the Pacers from playoff contention. Indiana will miss the postseason for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

Pacers are officially out of the playoffs.  Well there you have it.  The proof is in the proverbial pudding.  We officially got the better of the trade.  Kudos to Mullin for pulling this deal.  

I found this site just randomly googling Yi.  It's quite informative in terms of scouting observations about his game.

Some interesting observations

-  He's got a very consistent midrange stroke and a fadeaway that's pretty much uncontestable.  He apparently doesn't settle for jumpers though.  If you give him space he'll try to get closer.  

-80% FT shooter

 He struggles from the international 3 point line.  That probably means that the NBA trey range won't be good for him either

Very quick and agile for his size, but can get out of control with his handles.  That might be bad since the NBA is a quicker league.

Very active around the glass but has a glaring issue with big low post players.  He basically has no low post defense whatsoever.  This weakness has become more and more obvious the more he plays.

-Solid improvement in terms of stats from year to year but none of the holes in his game seem to ever get addressed.

This has got to be the best info to date since we can't watch Yi's performance.  It would be cool if the CBA playoffs were broadcasted in the US.

* Al Harrington in Indiana? Quite mediocre. In Golden State? A scoring machine, now that he's making his moves quickly and without deliberation. He averaged 25.3 points in 36.5 minutes in his first four games with the Warriors, shooting 55.4 percent from the floor and 64.7 percent from behind the arc. Harrington's rebounding (5.5 a game) still stinks, but we've just about given up on that.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, the participants in a trade that sent Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell to Golden State, aren't faring as well. Troy Murphy is coming through with nearly a double-double in just (just!) under 30 minutes a game, but Mike Dunleavy is shooting 39.3 percent and Ike Diogu is disappointing -- 12 points and 10 rebounds in 33 combined minutes is nice, but he's missed nine of 13 shots, and Rick Carlisle won't play him with the big boys.

I see playing in the east has done wonders for Dunleavy's exposure.  39.3% FG is pretty much what he gave us GSW. But then according to Dunleavy Sr.  they're probably just utilizing his son wrong.  

Normally I don't like Tony Mejia's articles.  But at least he's noticing the effort B Davis is putting forth

Player to watch

Baron Davis has been nursing sore wrists, but with Jason Richardson out and his team clinging to a .500 mark and a hold on the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference standings, the injury-prone guard is playing through pain.

Davis played 31 minutes in a loss to Phoenix on Sunday night despite having no range of motion in his right wrist and soreness in his left one. Nelson appreciates his efforts, which are direct contrast to former coach Byron Scott's complaints that Baron milks his injuries.

Orlando and Miami roll through the Bay in what is thankfully a light week for the Warriors, giving B-Diddy an opportunity to heal some. In the Warriors' trek through Florida in late December, Davis burned the Magic for 38 points and nine assists, but was non-existent against the Heat, scoring just 10 points.
