Sad Sad Day In The Arena
First and foremost I am not a SAS fan. (die hard blazer fan since birth) I was hoping you all would kick some laker butt today. Sadly it didn’t happen even worse was the crowd inside of the arena…
Let me give you some back ground. Up here at the rose garden we have a pretty ravage and robust fan base that is more than exocentric, however last home game versus the Lakers it seemed we somehow were outnumbered and more over shammed when chants of mvp from the upper sections roar’d when Kobe touched the ball. Constant cheers from laker fans as well every time they scored.
It was hard to hear during the game today (SAS VS LAL) however they were there, I personally was very upset the fact so many opposing team fans were at our home court cheering the other team on. I can imagine you all were as well…? It might be the love for my home team, but I wanted to reach out and ask your opinions. How did you feel about the “lets go lakers” chant in your home arena? I think it’s truly a mockery as I know our arena never has more than the 15-20% loyal laker fans over the past years (season tix holder since 97-98) since there recent titles more and more bandwagons come out of the dark. Down there do you normally have a large enough laker fan base that cheers can be heard on national television when you play them at home?
Sorry if this has crossed any line/offended anyone it just makes me sick to my stomach seeing the home team getting cheered against and booed.
On a side note it is completely awesome to see how well the SAS are playing this year a lot of people ruled them out as contenders due to a lot of factors including age. If my blazers are not in this year (good chance) I will be rooting along with all of you for the spurs to upset the likes of the laker, Celtics, and heat.
Last nights game...portland vs mav vs ref's
Check after the jump
I sorry for the loss...
Well this is just my two cents. I am a blazers fan and am very judgmental about my team. Hopefully my insight on our two players helps.
CP3 Done for the year, Collison's time to shine.
New Orleans All-Star point guard Chris Paul(notes) will undergo arthroscopic surgery for a cartilage tear in his left knee on Monday and could miss one to two months, sources close to Paul told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night.
Ouch anit that a kick in the teeth.
Stupid horns / fans using them should be ejected.
Hate to say it but that stupid horn is so flipping anonying. How can you watch these games? I understand the clackers blah blah ect.. But thoughs horns are god damn anonying. Its almost as bad as air horns which I belive are not allowed in any nba arena....mm why are the horns? anyone care to explain how this is legit please because watching the game tonight is making me insane and no im not an wade/miami fan just wanted to watch jennings play some ball kids great.
A view from another fan of another team
(First off I will be straight out and say I am not going to take the time and make sure this is 100% grammatically correct.)
A view from another team;
As my team (Blazers) have been struggling with tons of issues, I’ve been looking around the league, mainly the western conference wondering who the playoff seeds will be. I’m loving the chance of seeing sac-to sneak into Portland’s spot we may lose. For me it’s hard not to root for the underdog, you guys have a lot of talent and it’s a matter of time before it turns around in your favor. The fact the kings were the worst team last year in the league (win/lose ratio) to be at 13-16 right now you are four wins away from beating your win totals for last year cheers. The main key I see in this would be Reek coming out and killing it night in night out. My question is this, how do you feel he will do when Kevin mart comes back? How much will it affect his ability to fill the stat sheet and lead the team?
Do you consider Reek the leader of this team or do you consider it Kevin Martin?
Looking forward to seeing the kings come up and snagging a playoff spot and taking out some of our western conference rivals. I would love to see my team take it to the finals but since that will not happen, the second best is seeing the kings come from dead last to get to the top!
poll
swing for the fenches and bank on millsap? Im skeptical. I belive we should of waited it out for the trade deadline and got someone good for cheapish trade due to the low low salary cap and even lower next year... we could of easly got a devin harris/cp3 type player for little if we played the cards right and perfect...
I belive we should not sign milsap and wait it for the deadline and swing for that grand slam! if not its extra money next year for roy/lma for full contracts.......opions please?
