Name the New Jaguars- winner
I posted before FA and the Draft about how everyone picks two free agents, a resigned, player , and three draftees. There really weren't many hits but we do have a winner. Below is everyone and there picks with the right guesses bolded. I counted Scobee because I believe the tag means he will be brought back.
Thunder64- Stevie Johnson, Josh Scobee, Brent Grimes, Riley Reiff, Martin McNutt, Vinny Curry
Aristotle45- Andrew Luck, Morris Claiborne, Matt Kalil, Mario Williams, Mike Wallace, Desean Jackson
ARMJAG- Josh Scobee, Marques Colston, Michael Floyd, Sean Powell, Harry Douglas, Vinny Curry
MTD Live Draft Jags Thread Updated with Results**
It's the day! Tonight at 6:30 the Colts are on the clock(hmm who will they pick). Silent Jag and I are the FO for this draft. Use this thread for input on players, trades, and anything draft wise. Last time we had one of these on Day 2 and it was a great success with over 70 comments. GO JAGUARS GO JAGUARS GO JAGUARS GO JAGUARS. I am now trying to get over the word limit. Word word word word. I don't like the word limit, it's not my friend. Who will the Jags pick? Or will we trade back? Will Melvin Ingram don a Teal cap and wear the new jerseys next year? Could it be a WR Floyd or Hill? What is the limit geez? A a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a

Name the new Jags in 2012
Hey guys this being done around SB Nation a lot and I thought we could give it a shot here. For bragging rights only who do you think the new Jags will be in 2012? The rules are they have to be 2 free agents, one player to get resigned, and 3 draftees. You guys can comment below and I will keep track of everyone's.
Here's mine: Stevie Johnson, Brent Grimes, Josh Scobee, Riley Reiff, Marvin McNutt, Vinny Curry.
Well guys I now it's kind of a crapshoot but, let them rip. I will tally up every thing and announce the winner after the draft. The tie breaker if we need one will be the team Darron Thomas plays for next year, I will say the Bills. I am now attempting to get over the word limit. Go Jags Go Jags Go Jags Go Jags Go Jags Go Jags Go Jags.
Mocking the Draft Live Mock Recap
I did a 7 round mock over the past 2 days over at Mocking the Draft and came away really happy.
Trade- I traded the Jags 1st and 4th rounders to the Bengals for the 21st pick, their 2nd rounder, 4th rounder, and their 5th rounder.
1st-Kendall Wright WR Baylor- Wright is a gamebreaker and thats what the Jags need. I was thrilled to get him at 21. He brings an entire new threat to the Jags.
2nd- Vinny Curry DE Marshall- Curry is a monster pass rusher and can play the run pretty well too. He is a fan favorite here at BCC so I think everyone will be happy with this one. He will probably start opposite Mincey/Avril/Williams next season
2nd- Josh Norman CB Coastal Carolina- The fast rising DB lands here in the late second with the Jags. Even if Mathis is brought back the Jags need a Corner to start opposite of Cox. Norman is that guy, he has the size and speed to be a lockdown corner in the pros.
Jags Mock FA and Draft
Some things have changed since I last posted including a new coaching staff and some All-Star Games. So I decided to do another Mock.
FA
Dwayne Bowe 5 years 35 million- Bowe is a number 1 guy and stating the obvious something the Jags need. He is big, runs good routes, and can catch very well.
Demetrius Bell 5 years 25 million- Bell is very talented and has the athletic genes being the son of Karl Malone. He would be OT with Britton playing guard. He is also 27 years old and would solidify the line for years to come.
Eddie Royal- 4 years 19 million- Royal had a huge two first seasons, but his stats have declined since Tebow took over. Royal would be a great addition to this reciever core and would also be a plus in the return game.
Chris Redman 2 years 4 million- Redman knows the system of Mularkey and is a good help for Blaine.
Aaron Ross 4 years 16 million- Ross is a very good corner that would start opposite of Cox next year. He has played good for the Giants this year.
Calais Campbell 5 years 25 million- Campbell tallied 8 sacks this year and is vastly underrated. He would a force at DE next year.
Resign- Douzable, Middleton, Lowery, Lewis, Robiskie, Scobee, Allen
Draft
1st Round- Quentin Coples DE UNC- Coples has greatly impressed me this week at the Senior Bowl and seems like a very viable option at DE. He would come in and start across from Campbell. D-Line is a very big key to a teams success and when we have Coples and Campbell coming off the edge this would do wonders for our defense. Many people have said Coples didn't have a dominate senior year and therefore shouldnt be drafted at 7 but, he did play inside a lot at DT which didn't fit him well. He has elite size and speed running around a 4.7 for his 6-6 281 frame is impressive.
Jags Mock 2.0
1st Round- Dre Kipatrick CB Alabama
- Kirkpatrick is a large very physical corner who can press and play man to man very well. He has very fluid hips and can come up in run support. He is 6'3 200 lbs and can run very fast and move very quick for his size. I think this pick will come down to him or Jeffrey. The thing that makes me believe Dre will be the pick is the depth of the FA and draft class at WR. In a division with Manning/Luck, Locker, and the Texan Trio at QB, Pass coverage is very important. Cox and Kirk would fit right in.
Jags Pre Bowl Mock
As I have already done an OffSeason Plan, I will now focus on the draft part only. I have made some changes from the old one but some players remain the same.
Thunder64's Jaguar OffSeason
Here is my opinon of how the offseason turns out for the Jags.
Release/Dont resign
Brock Bolen(practice squad)
Fendi Onubun(practice squad)
TJ Heath(Practice Squad)
Players Jags should look for in UFDAs
As the draft is over the Jags still have some needs. WHEN the UFDAs happen I think the Jags should go hard after alot of players. I have compiled a list below who I think they should target.
NoLaxJags and Thunder's Mock Draft
NoLaxJags and I have done a mock draft were we switch off picks. He starts at one, I have two, and it goes on so below is the finished product. Feel free to disect it as much as you like.
AFC East Mock Draft
With the second installment of the series I have decided to mock the AFC East. Here are the drafts below.
AFC South 7 Round Mock
I thought of the idea to do a mock for one division and the division with my two favorite teams jumped out to me. So I decided to do a full 7 round mock for each of the teams in the AFC South below.
Ok can we PLEASE pick this guy up. He would provide good DT depth and he could provide more of these.
We need to give this kid a chance.
Kids a beast but just made a wrong choice
Recruting draft reschduled for next Saturday at 6 ET
Ok since the lack of participants the draft has been moved to next Saturday at 6. We need more participants so sign up here and enter your offense and defensive fomations here. TexasNole has already signed up so he has the 4th selection if fsu1510 decides he can participate.

****************Recruiting Draft Order******************** Update!
Ok folks the number is in! The Dow Jones ended up at 10,644. So this is the order
Wilder is ready to annnouce
Come on pick FSU!
***************Recruiting draft: Deciding where you pick*****************: Update 2!!
I came up with the idea of to where each of you will select in the first round and so on. On Aug. 10 you have to guess what the Dow Jones stock number will be at the end of the day and the closest gets the first and the 2nd closest gets 2nd and so on. Then say if you get the 1st pick in round one you get the last in round 2 and first in round 3.
Gators make secondary violations
Hmm the Gates break the rules again
*****Recruiting Prospect Draft*****- Update: on the order of who picks when
I was thinking and thought it would be cool to do a 2011 Prospect draft. We could pick a time and are offensive and defensive types(like West Coast or Triple option etc.) and then depending on how many people sign up we can decide what states of prospects can we pick like Southeast USA or just FL and GA. Or the whole country?
Come on Pat Riley get some commitments from minor players!
via www-scf.usc.edu
The key to bringing back Dwade and prying him away from the Bulls is to sign minor players. This may sound stupid but it makes sense when you look at it.
My Prediction of what the Heat need to do on Draft Night
With the Miami Heat now having 4 picks in the 2nd round they can do a lot of things and address some needs. There biggest needs are PG, PF(even though we will adress it in free agency we still need depth), and C.
My post will cover who I think the Heat should select and why.

So everyone what do you think?
The Titans picks
- Eric Berry DB Tennessee-A beast prospect who has special abilities that will sure up the Titans' secondary.
- Terrence Cody DT Alabama- A huge guy that will fill the gap left by Albert Haynesworth.
- Jerry Hughes DE TCU-The Titans need a legitimate pass rusher and I think Hughes is there guy.
- Golden Tate WR ND- A good wideout that i think can be kind of a Steve Breaston type guy.
Keion Payne TOP 5
St. Thomas Aqunias Cornerback Keion Payne names top 5 and FSU is in it. Last year he recorded 33 tackles, four interceptions, and 15 pass breakups.
