In Lou We Trust Stanley Cup Finals Presale Tickets?

I know a couple of people got their tickets just now for the finals. Does anybody have any links to this? I signed up for the email through the team website for presale tickets but didn't receive anything. I also called up the devils ticket sales to see when an email is going to go out. He said monday morning most likely. Are tickets only available to season ticket holders now? Thanks for the help

In Lou We Trust GAME SIX SIGN IN

I was stumbling through a couple of sites looking for tickets, and wouldn't you know it, I was able to grab two tickets in the 100s section ($180 a piece) for Friday's game through ticketmaster at face value. I suggest you check the same if interested. So I'll be rooting hard with my brother in section 104, making sure to yell out as many Lets Go Devils and Hennnnriiikkk chants as my lungs can handle. Who the heck else is going?

In Lou We Trust GO TO THE FRIGGEN PLAYOFF GAMES!!!!!! (Part 2)

A couple of weeks ago, MikePelusoTears wrote a fanpost urging Devils fans to attend every playoff game they can. At the time, he noticed that there were many tickets still available. Although Ticketmaster appears to be sold out, Taking a look at Stubhub one can easily see that there are close to 3,000 tickets still available. for Game 3 and Game 4 against the already determined Rangers. You can bet your bottom dollar that Rangers fans will make their way into our arena; they have in the past and despite the price of tickets right now for the Prudential Center, they will always be more costly in MSG. Thus, like MikePelusoTears did back on April 10th, I am urging every and any Devils fan who is capable of attending these home games, to make every effort to rock the Rock. As Matt Ventolo pointed out in a recent thread (and something I can personally attest to for the games I have attended thus far in the playoffs), there has never been a more electric crowd at the Rock. The building has been intimidating for opponents and it's been quite evident.Let's keep this fantastic home advantage running against our most hated Rivals, the Rangers. Yes tickets are pricey, but it's the freaking Conference Finals - lets show the organization how proud we are of how far this team has gotten in the playoffs. We are one step away from the Stanley Cup! Let's do everything we can to show our support. I'll be at home game 2 (bought tix for home game 4 but that's no longer existent) , section 119, row 12 screaming my face off. I hope to see you guys there as well.

In Lou We Trust Home Game 1 and 2 Presale Link?

Anybody have it yet? I got an email earlier today from the Devils website saying that they would shoot out another email with links to a special presale offer, but I have yet to receive this link. I also know the time frame was supposed to be an hour since the tickets go on sale to the general public at 1. Thanks for any help regarding this; the last couple of words in this message is to hit the minimum count. :)

NetsDaily LETS SHOW LOPEZ WE MISSED HIM. Who's going to Sundays Game?

Mr. Brook Lopez has been sitting on my fantasy basketball bench since I first drafted him. I've been waiting for this guy to get back for quite a long time now, and I think everyone else is feeling the same way. I don't think there's any coincidence that the team played so well against the Chicago Bulls, either; they were sparked by the realization that the second best player on the team (who has been by far the best player since before D-Will came for a solid couple of years) will be joining them within the next game. Nobody knows for certain how long Lopez will be hanging around with us with the Dwight rumors hanging over our heads, and Lopez has his share of faults that people can't seem to overlook (by the way, he's still YOUNG and will develop!), but I think we need to get a packed house tomorrow to show Lopez we missed him. It's a sunday night and a whole bunch of us have off on presidents day anyway, right? You could pick up tickets on www.stubhub.com for $1.00...I'm serious.

Link to Stubhub for cheap tickets:

Unless you happen to want to sit in section 128, which is inexplicably $900 dollars per ticket. I already got my seats in section 108 for $5 bucks, and I'm looking forward to seeing Lopez tear it up with D-Will throwing him lobs, creating space for Brooks, and allowing Humphries to have his way under the basket. With the last season in New Jersey shaping up to be a mediocre one, lets turn the tide starting on Sunday with our all-star center back.

In Lou We Trust Customized My 2012 VR Camaro with Devils Colors

After about a year of research and contemplation, and a delay of about a month for the car to be built, my 2012 Camaro finally came in. She's a beauty. I made sure to customize aspects to coordinate with the Devils colors. Besides the red and black body combo, I had the bowties customized with the traditional white, red and black and threw on the fuzzy Devils dice of course. :D I also had the interior done red and black to match the body, and plan on getting some RS emblems (white) sewn onto the head rests. I painted the Camaro lettering a white to offset the red; you can sort of see it in the last picture. I love driving this car and its great to combine my love for the Devils along with it. Notice in the last picture I'm wearing my 2003 stanley cup champions hat, that was the day I got the ride. Let me know what you guys think.

In Lou We Trust Marty's Old Mask Making a Comeback?

With all the talk of Sykora making his way through tryouts, camp, and netting two goals and an assist in the preseason, we all seem to be missing the comeback of another key contributor to the Devils lineup (and no, I'm not talking about Bryce Salvador). Of course, I AM talking about Marty's old mask, the same mask he used for nearly his entire career (minus the red helmet back in the earliest days and the new helmet to celebrate all of his anniversaries and records), and what I believe is synonymous with Brodeur and as simple as it is effective in standing out.

Of course, I am just kidding around with all of this talk of mask importance (sometimes humor can be misinterpreted on the internet...surprisingly enough), but it WAS something I noticed after watching the Devils seal the deal against the Flyers last night in the team's final preseason game.

I'm not quite sure if Marty did wear his old mask during last year's preseason games as well, but I think that if this IS Marty's last season before hanging up the skates, I'm glad he'll be wearing the same mask that helped define him in NJ for over a decade.

NetsDaily New Jersey Nets - Timeless (2001-2003) (720 HD)

Not sure if this has been posted in the past, but this is an awesome little tribute video to the last golden era of the New Jersey Nets. Also, its a good time to remember what Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin did on the behalf of our organization when they were in their prime. Some of us justifiably focus upon how Kidd left, forgetting all too quickly what kind of work he put in as the best Nets player to ever wear the uniform. The heart and passion Kidd showed during this three year run, all with the calmness of ice water running through his veins, is simply incomparable. How many games during these playoff runs did Jason Kidd completely take over the game while putting the entire team on his shoulders during a 4th quarter spurt? Moments like the one at the 1:28 mark, with Captain Kidd surrounded by what was just a bunch of youngsters with pure talent and a whole lot of heart, particularly had me moved. That was the epitome of Nets basketball. The video can be viewed in all of the glory that HD has to offer. Props to gmjigga for putting this together on the behalf of all Nets fans. Reminisce and enjoy guys.

NetsDaily TO THOSE ATTENDING TONIGHT (2/28)

I want to hear some loud, continuous DE-RON WILL-IAMS chants throughout the game! I say we start them immediately before and during the team lineup announcements. I think one of the biggest deciding factors in whether Williams stays, besides picking up pieces to play around him, is how well he is received by this franchise. I will be there (Section 15, row 3)  chanting my face off until my voice becomes hoarse. I expect the same from you!

Lets give it up and properly welcome our new franchise Point Guard!

NetsDaily If New Jersey Got Another Team.....

With the team moving to Brooklyn now becomming an inevitability, my mind has begun to wonder about whether New Jersey will ever get another basketball team. I know that, per this link, Governor Christie has had casual conversations with David Stern about placing another NBA basketball team in New Jersey after the current team moves to Brooklyn. To quote Christie:

“I think there is a future for NBA basketball here in Newark,” Christie said. “I think that New Jersey having a state-of-the-art facility like Newark has here, you have the possibility of doing that. We support three [National Hockey League] teams in the region, so I don’t see why we can’t support three basketball teams.”

I'm curious as to what other people think about this, considering that we will be losing our state's basketball team fairly shortly (2012 season) and the great majority of Nets basketball fans might have an option between choosing between their state and their original basketball team. For me, I've always been a New Jersey fan at heart; I have been watching the Devils play since 1995, and the Nets since 2001. I would choose to watch a New Jersey baseball and football team over the New York Yankees and New York Giants (who technically reside in East Rutherford, NJ - the irony never quite fades for me) any day, but unfortunately, I am not given that option presently. So personally, if New Jersey ended up getting another basketball team after a couple of years, I would begin rooting for them again. Which means that, ultimately, the Brooklyn _____ will become a rival. Strange to say it, but my heart lies with the state. What about you?

NetsDaily Sick of the 'Melo Talk.

Let me first begin by saying that I understand how talented Carmelo Anthony is as a basketball player. He will undoubtedly make any team better than they already are. He's a game changer and has been the face of the Nuggets franchise since being drafted into the NBA several years ago. He has also attracted the media with his stardom status, creating hype with his athleticism and drawing crowds because of his name. But despite all of this, I'm tired of hearing Carmelo Anthony's name associated with the New Jersey Nets.

NetsDaily Lawrence Frank Signs with Boston as "Defensive Specialist"

via tonysports.files.wordpress.com

Per RealGM, Lawrence Frank has been hired within the Boston Organization today as their "defensive specialist".

The Celtics have hired Lawrence Frank to essentially replace Tom Thibodeau as their defensive specialist.

Frank is quoted as saying:

"I think it’s a good situation for me – I wanted to get back and coach, and I didn’t want to sit and wait, and you can’t ask for a better situation or a better organization," Frank said.

I'm one of those guys that falls on the side that Lawrence Frank was a bit of a scapegoat with this Nets organization. The teams that he coached kind of sucked, and I primarily blame that on Ratner for being so out of touch with winning as opposed to furthering his real estate ventures. Unless you think "Uncle Cliffy" Clifford Robinson was a good roster player at the time (before his timely marijuana problems...during the playoffs). Opie's constant running up and down the court, yelling and hollering at the top of his lungs at a barren Izod Center will always be remembered by us die-hard Nets fans. Frank was as good of a textbook coach and hardworker as there might be on the market now, but in my eyes, he never seemed to earn the respect of his players. The players he coached would never admit that publicly however, and in fact I believe all of his players said nothing but kind words for Lawrence when he coached the Nets. I think this is a good fit overall for Boston, and I wish the guy luck.
