Healthy scratched the last 2 games right? We'll see about today but it seems as if he may not be playing anymore unless someone gets injured. Is he possibly injured like earlier in the season when he was "healthy scratched"? Letang seemed to be just getting his feet under him. I may be in the minority but i'd rather see Letang out there than Gill. Too often do I see Gill get beat around the edges, Letang is much better on his skates.

I don't know if anyone posted anything about this but it's still somewhat humorous that this keeps happening. Evidently he is 2 years older than he told everyone he was. I don't think this makes him evil but it is funny. Oh well, I don't hate him for it. His reasons for doing it sound like I probably would do the same thing in his situation.

ok so...

I been playing MLB the Show 08 and if this game means anything here is what I see happening this year.

Berkman and Wigginton are awesome!!! Oswalt and Wandy are definately our best pitchers but Backe is pretty damn good as well. Woody is just so so. (I pitch better than I bat though so..) Paronto blows goats though, his ERA is rediculous. Bourne plays a mean outfield and is sufficient in the leadoff position. Pence, Tejada and Matsui all do what is expected of them but the big suprise is that Carlos Lee is horrible. Thats my feeling on the Astros squad so far. I'll update again in the near future :)

I haven't seen where anyone has mentioned this so I will go ahead. We got Doug Brocail for 1 year 2. mil and a club option for 09.

http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20071126&content_id=2309344&vkey=news_hou &fext=.jsp&c_id=hou

I'm good with it. He seems to be a decent reliever and it's not a ton of money so...

I think Berkman is a sly guy eh?

"Berkman, who played almost exclusively in the outfield during his first four seasons in the big leagues, joked that his numbers are so bad this year because he's gunning to win Comeback Player of the Year honors next year.

"You have to plan these things two years ahead of time," he said. "

(this taken from astros.com)

Maybe he's not joking :)

Was listening to the radio (am 610) and they made a comment that kind of made sense to me. How many players enter the majors in their late 20's or early 30's from minor leagues and actually produce as a major league hitter. I mean in our right field we have Luke Scott, 29 and Jason Lane, 30 who are both trying to make a huge impact in the Astros organization while we have Hunter Pence who's about to turn 24 kicking ass and taking names. It would be sad to see us keep him in the minors for too much longer.

Are there any notable major leaguers who entered at the age of 28+ that truly impacted their team? I can't really think of any but I never really put much thought into it before now either so...
