So - if the Flames are in rebuild mode...AND rumours are that they are interested in everyones favorite holdout (Kyle Turris)..

In the spirit of the day, What are we all thankful for?

I'm thankful for My Family, My Friends (and I include the FFH crew in that), for my health and for having a great hockey team to play for locally. And I'm thankful our coyotes are looking strong, and that we may have an owner by christmas. I'm thankful to support a team that has a captain like Shane Doan.

It’s all eerily familiar tonight as the Desert Dogs take on the Edmonton Oilers....again. Last time the boys in brick red got us the win – after giving us all heart attacks along the way and pulling off a last second comeback to take us to the shootout. Tonight the boys will be hoping to take the game in regulation against a poor struggling Oilers team who are 1-4 in their last 5 (with our Yotes 5-0). The good news is their one win came against the Ducks - which helps us in the Pacific. The prey can been seen at The Copper & Blue

Coyotes need to put a strong performance out there to keep the momentum. If we win tonight, we're in 1st place in the Pacific, and only a point behind Detroit for 1st overall. In addition, the eyes of the NHL will be on us as there are no other games tonight. I want teams to run and hide when they see their next game as @ Phoenix or Vs. Phoenix.

So our desert dogs are out. I'm bummed. Majorly. However to try and starve off a boring work day I offer my predictions from here on out.

West

Sharks over Red Wings
Canucks over Blackhawks

Canucks over Sharks.

East

Habs over Penguins
Bruins over Flyers

Habs over Bruins

Finals

Canucks over Habs in 7.

Other Predictions:

• Riots in Detroit. Nobody notices
• San Jose fans plan to throw a shark on the ice again - but cannot figure how to get Johnny Canuck in its mouth.
• Verses throws a tantrum following the finals - gets sued. ESPN takes over hockey coverage again (please?)
• Hawks fans start the curse of the Mural.
• Montreal fans and Vancover fans start a war between the two parts of Canada.
• The NHL sells the Coyotes to Rensidorf - Winnipeg bloggers say its just to drive the teams value up and the team will play home game 2 in Winnipeg. Sane human population yawn.
• Detroit/San Jose/Whoever the latest team to get the 'biased' officiating changes their uniforms for 2010-2011 to black and white vertical stripes.
• People finally realise hockey will never work in...nevermind.
• An American Businessman starts a 'Make it 25' campaign with plans to start a team in Hawaii.
• Reebok decide that for 2011-2012 all nhl players must tattoo a vector logo on their neck. NHL agrees and backdates the rule to 1900. Chris Chelios only player grandfathered in.
• Coyotes Win the Cup. Snakes thrown on the ice and in bedrooms across Arizona.
• Teleportation invented. Timmy Hate buy season tix on the glass at the Job.
