Alabama QBs Look Sharp
*** The UA quarterbacks were active in individual drills, firing rounds of short out routes and a slightly deeper set of "back shoulder" throws to the wide receivers. A.J. McCarron and Phillip Sims, frontrunners for the job, both looked sharp Wednesday, particularly on the out routes. WR Michael Bowman made an outstanding catch on a pass from Sims during the back-shoulder drill, in which the pass is thrown slightly behind and above the receiver by design. On Wednesday, there was no evident separation between McCarron and Sims during individual work. Redshirt freshman Blake Sims, whom UA coach Nick Saban is grooming as an "emergency" option at quarterback, looked more like the guy who quarterbacked UA's scout team offense last year than the guy who otherwise worked with running backs. The "other" Sims has visibly improved in individual drills since practice opened on March 21.

Alabama Secondary Violation?
Did Saban Break Rules By Visiting Recruit?
Saban bumped into Barry Sanders Jr.
An extended conversation between Saban and Sanders is a potential violation of NCAA Bylaw 13.1.1.1 which states: "Off-campus recruiting contacts shall not be made with an individual (or his or her relatives or legal guardians) before July 1 following the completion of his or her junior year in high school."
The following is a list of the committed players in the game for the respective SEC team:
Alabama
Bradley Sylve – Wide Receiver – Red Team #3
Vinnie Sunseri – Linebacker – Red Team #3 (Defense)
Marvin Shinn – Wide Receiver – Red Team #4
Ha’Sean Clinton-Dix – Safety – Red Team #4 (Defense)
Trey DePriest – Linebacker – Red Team #33
Ryan Kelly – Offensive Center – Red Team #78
Malcolm Faciane – Tight End – Red Team #88

We need a car and cash for Cam!
As per rumors; Did Coach Bowden say that Cam and His Father asked for money and a car when they were being recruited?
If so what's his (Bowdens) intention on such comment?
Florida DT Jaye Howard not too worried about facing Mark Ingram"
He is no different from any other running back," Howard said after Saturday’s win over Kentucky. "We have Jeff Demps on our team, Mike Gillislee, so we go against good backs in practice. We are just going to try to bring it to them.
I do believe the key word here is "try"
A Fan by the name of Swampthing replies:
"Howard’s correct. Ingram is just like any other back–until it’s your turn to tackle him."
Your right my friend, your so damn right

2011 mock draft, Bama man #2 pick
The "oh so early" 2011 mock draft from Todd McShay's post over at ESPN has our man Marcell Dareus as the number two pick. I think it's way premature but what the hell, I Like it!
#1 - Buffalo Bills
Andrew Luck*, QB, Stanford. Only a third-year sophomore this fall but coach Jim Harbaugh has Luck on the fast track mechanically and mentally. Luck has prototypical size (6-foot-4, 235 pounds) and is an underrated athlete. More importantly, he has a smooth over-the-top delivery, a strong arm and great touch as a passer. Better decisions while gaining more game experience could put Luck in position to become the top player taken in the draft -- either in 2011 or 2012.
#2 - St. Louis Rams
Marcell Dareus*, DT, Alabama. After taking QB Sam Bradford with the top overall pick in 2010, the Rams go back to the well with another first-round defensive lineman in Dareus, who is a remarkable athlete for his size (6-4, 296 pounds).
Go and get paid my man!....RTR
Mark Ingram- 2010 Heisman Favorite?
3. Mark Ingram, RB Alabama
Why He Might Win It: The reigning Heisman winner will once again be the signature star on a veteran offense. Already considered a top ten overall NFL prospect, he has the talent, he has the line in front of him, and he has the No. 1 team in the nation going into the season. Always playing big in the big games, he gets a chance to showcase his talent against Penn State, at Arkansas, at hope against Florida, and at LSU in national spotlight games.
Why He Won’t Win It: Besides having a mega-talent in Trent Richardson taking away some of the carries, and with a bit more of an emphasis on the passing game, Ingram has some barriers, but his biggest problem is going to be himself. Heisman voters have a huge bias against former winners and have no interest in voting anyone into the Archie Griffin legendary status (as Tebow, Matt Leinart, and Jason White recently found out). There’s a huge bias against former winners, and unless Ingram is amazing and there are no other viable options, unfairly, there will be a hard ceiling he’ll bump against.

Obama Looks to Use Anti Monopoly Laws to Break Alabama's RBs (Satire)
Barack Obama has always been an advocate of spreading the wealth. Now he's looking into a myriad of laws, such as anti-trust laws, monopoly laws, and even RICO statutes to break up Alabama's running backs, which seem to have a monopoly over the other teams in college football.
"It's bad enough to bring back the two that dominated from last year, but bringing in another, (in the person of Eddie Lacey) may just be too much," said Obama this week while discussing NCAA matters and possible playoff scenarios.
"Having three game-breaking backs is just too much for one team, especially when there are teams like Northwest Texas State that have none," he said. "Perhaps we should look into sending Richardson to North Texas State and send Eddie Lacey to someplace like Hawaii."
"People like Nick Saban and institutions like Alabama are just not good for college football; they want it all to be about themselves and not about college football as a whole," Obama continued. "And there's word from our investigators that Jeramie Griffin, Demetrius Goode, Ivan Matchett, and Jermaine Preyear are also top quality running back and they too are enrolled at Alabama."
SEC Football Coaches: The Best and the Worst
The SEC has the greatest coaches of any conference bar none, what other conference could boast having four coaches who combined have won six BCS National Championships?
(1) Nick Saban, Alabama Crimson Tide: In just three years Nick Saban has led Alabama back to the top. He took a very average team just emerging from NCAA sanctions and led them to Alabama's first 14-0 season and their 13th National Championship.
Saban performed the same magic at LSU in 2003.
Alabama has not lost a regular season game in over two years under Saban and will go into the 2010 season as the favorite to return to Atlanta and possibly return to the BCS Title Game.
Nick Saban became the first coach in the modern era to lead two schools to a national championship (LSU and Alabama) and is now has Alabama in position to do it all again in 2010.
Saban has just landed his third Top five recruiting class at Alabama, which leads many to think that Alabama is just getting started.
Saban has won two BCS National Championships, three SEC Championships, and five SEC Western Titles.
